It will not in a million years be Romney he is Mormon, and the evangelical Christian's will never vote for a Mormon.. It will be the secret thing that will tank him.. It was that fact that my father in-law didn't vote for him in the primary..
Your racism is showing!
Racism??????
Romney is (at least at this point in time) the best opportunity for the Republicans to nominate a candidate who will have broad appeal and have a good chance of winning in 2012. He will give the Republicans a much better chance of victory than Sarah Palin.
It will be Palin and she will lose by the biggest margin in history.
John you need to leave your racism out of political discussions, it gives you away as being a "tea bagger" and after W anyone would look good, he left the average American citizens so well off after his 8 years and Republican control of Congress. Nothing like a second coming of the Great Depression to wake people up, and then blame the next administration for not acting fast enough to clean up the financial mess left by the tax cuts, wanton spending on wars of choice that we can't afford.
I don;t care who gets elected as long as the nation gets on a course that stops the financial bleeding, prices of housing falling and NO jobs it doesn't matter what party is behind their name but neither party has done a "great job" financially for us, have they?
Take party politics and racism out of it and start doing things because they are the right things to do why destroy this nation just to make a point if the majority of voters elect to nominate and vote her into office ........ then all you will do is make Sarah Palin the Queen of Alaska because by the time she gets done "playing" President there won't be a USA left anymore we will have the failed nation instead of the failing nation we have now. She quit being Governor because the heat got to hot in the kitchen after 2 1/2 years and she moved on to Fox and friends for the money I wonder how nuch she can get after quitting the White House after 2 1/2 years of that and the heat gets to hot? I hope we never have to find out.
If someone is a member of the Tea Party you think they are racist? Some people read racism into anything.
I don't like Obama's policies and therefore would like to see him out of office. Racism has nothing to do with it! If he was a Conservative I would love to see him in office!
Who's policies do you like Bob. The Republicans have had an orignal thought in ages. Cut taxes for the rich, trickle down economics? war for oil
c curie: All those arguments are nothing but Dem talking points!
Mitt Romney was the best GOP hopeful in 2008 and will be again in 2012. His Mormon religion should not be a barrier to a candidate with the skills that Romney brings to the table.
Maybe it should not be, but it will be. The religious right will not tolerate a Mormon as their standard bearor.
Republicans won't support Mitt Romney in the final election. They didn't last time. Come on Sarah Palin wasn't supported in the general election either with McCain because of her lack of knowledge. And we all know the the country won't support a Evangelical Baptist. I'm from the south and know that won't fly. That leaves the only man or woman left with sense and morals. The Honorable Ron Paul. Don't need a Primary to fowl up everything. Primaries do not help at all and should be outlawed.
Mitt Romney for president and Scott Brown for vice president
Oh GOD, let it be Sarah Palin!... We'll prove once and for all that you CAN fool some of the people ALL of the time.
Mitt Romney for president and scott brown for vice president
lololol I dont think they have a horse to race . i wonder how all that hopey changy stuff is doing for them ?
"The boy in the white house?" Wow, that's what's so scary and dangerous about your republicans -- you're ignorant, hateful rednecks and you don't think there's anything wrong with that. Way to represent America there, Bluto.
It's too early to tell but keep in mind that no one was mentioning Obama two years before he joined the race. I think we might be surprised....
I am sure the Dems would love for Sarah Palin to be the nominee. Obama would destroy her in a debate. SHe doesn't have two brain cells to rub together for heat, she is an ideologue with no sense of what it takes to "Lead the great country of ours, you betcha." Of course she will have her blind followers who think she can do no wrong and walks on water, but they clearly are a delusional minority. Mitt Romney would stand a better chance of matching wits with President Obama and it would be a tough race.
That being said, I don't think the Republicans deserve the Presidency back. They are the reason for the pain we are now in, and they have only themselves to blame for a Democrat being elected President. Conversely, Nancy Pelosi should be drawn and quartered for letting an outgunned minority of Republicans stop everything in Congress. If you can't pass a decent healthcare package with a super majority, you should be replaced.
I could'nt agree with you more Jim. Obama has inherited a huge mess I don't think there is anyone else that could have done a better job. If you ask me he should be given 8 yrs to straighten out this mess!
Other, No has become inconsequential, they will hate themselves.
Since intellectualism has unfortunately become a crutch and stupid has become a virtue. It may be Palin.
While I don't think Ron Paul will be the nominee, he should be if we really want to fix our broken, corrupt, political system.
jim - i am so with you !
You have nailed it 100% correct. Pelosi should be run out of the Democratic Party (along with the rest of them - BOTH sides)
an insignificant anonymous twit calls the man in the White House a boy? Aren't there some cars going around in a circle somewhere you should be watching?
I do not think ROmney being a Mormon will matter. If our country was capable of electing Obama (god knows what he believes in) then i think conservatives will vote for Romney. Romney eerily reminds me of Reagan. Both were moderate governors in democratic states, both were proud of what America stands for, and both ran and will run against incompetent idealists who do and did not understand how to make the economy roar. Romney will be our 45th president and Obama will have to get a real job or maybe he can go manage/embezzle ACORN's finances
