Sara's right. I received my form on March 10th. It asked the names of the individuals living in this residence as of April 1. Included was a note instructing me to complete the form and return it "today". Not knowing if I would even be alive on April 1, I could not honestly answer the questions and follow the instructions. These are the folks who want to manage our health care.

I don't think you people got the official census form yet. If it asked for names and dates, thats definitly not a census form.

Anyone who thinks it is patriotic to NOT fill out the census forms will be getting a new representative in their district or NOT.

Many statistics are sensitive to population centers and if you all don't reply, we all lose. However, I think most of those who do not want to cooperate with government responsibilities live in states that NEED more government help, and won't get it due to the low populations reported.

Stop being so paraniod. Read the Constitution. It explains fully what the Census if for. It specifically does NOT state that if we have a Black President he'll be OUT TO GET YOU. What are you so afraid of?

Right on Paulo99. I have contributed to the RNC for years and have in recent years found many of their fund raising letters insulting. Recently I received one with a big red "PAST DUE" stamped on the face of the envelope. Inside was a note stating that my membership renewal was past due and that I should send $50 to be reinstated. I wrote on the note that they should fire the moron that thought this was clever and not to darken my door with crap like this again. I then sent it back in their post-paid envelope. I will continue to support selected Conservative candidates but it will be a cold day when I contribute to the RNC again.

I believe that the entire congress had the oppertunity to review the intel on the "likelyhood" that there were WMD's and make up their own minds before voting to go to war. Is anyone suggesting that administration could have orchestrated that big of a lie and no one come forward and say, "we were instructed to falsify the intel just so the admin could justify going to war" ?? I think the point is there is no reason for race to be one of the questions. There should be only one question HOW MANY PEOPLE LIVE THERE and that's it. What difference does it make if you are pink or purple They only need to count the American Citizens

The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.

(Bold emphasis added) You need to read the entire law, not just the parts you want.

Military personel fill out their own forms wherever they are stationed, but their numbers are added to wherever they call home for district representation. The same is true of inmates, government employees stationed overseas, etc.

I'm not positive, but it seems to me that not very many illegal aliens will participate in the census, since they are trying very hard to be ignored by governmental officials. I'm sure that some will be counted, but I would think that most will not.
