This isn't the only incident. 10 members of congress have increased secuirty detail for them and their families now. Reform opponents are calling their homes 24/7 with death threats. Stupak recieved a phone call telling him they know where he lives and will use snipers. Reform opponents took out a ad in a newspaper that showed pictures of the kids of one congressmen. Just heard it on CNN waiting for more info and I'll post in more detail.

obviously i don't condone this type of behavior, but the people that need to REALLY be stopped are the washington dc crowd. i believe i said it a couple of months ago that there is a group of thousands that have completely had it with our govt and their antics and that this kind of thing was going to start happening more often. people are merely responding in kind to being strong armed by their government under the premise that we "need" this healthcare, bailouts, etc... or the universe will implode. i don't think anyone can effectively or rationally explain how a trillion dollar healthcare bill should be the focus of this administration right now...it is misguided at the very least, and probably closer to criminal in reality.

I live in Arlington, TX and people in my neighborhood know that I voted for and still support the president. There are some of these tea party people near by. Irene - those bankers were treatened. Some of them had to hire protection. I don't agree with either tactic but it goes both ways. How about the black thugs standing outside a polling location with night sticks? Mr. Holder didn't have a problem with that did he? But I'll bet he doesn't let this latest thing go without some sort of investigation. Both instances deserve jail time. Before I'm dismissed as a "libtard", think of all the Hitler, Nazi, Communist, etc. references, all the paranoid talk of an omnipresent government takeover, death panels, taking away guns, letting illegals over run everything - all of it contributes to an almost apocalyptic, extremely paranoid world view if its all you hear day in and day out. And then there is the dehumanizing and demonizing effect of this rhetoric. I've seen it on this board - refering to your political opponents as vermin, as parasites, etc. all of this serves to inhibit people's nature sense of empathy towards their fellow man. Afterall, you don't empathize with a rat do you?

Most people who subscribe this type of rhetoric are reasonable enough not to turn to violence but for those people who are already a little unhinged and crazy, its like they're a pool of gasoline and the rhetoric is the match.

This is the inevitable results of demonizing and dehumanizing your opponents. The horrors that sort of rhetoric can lead to are the stuff of nightmares... when people start to believe that large segments of their country's population are inhuman or somehow evil, well then they can pretty much justify any horrific act of violence towards them.

The problem isn't our leadership driving us apart. It goes deeper than that, and yes it affects our leaders too. There are too many distrustful people in this country. Everyone is paranoid and that alone is what is driving these people to use such harsh and inaccurate language as well as physical threats. People want to believe that there are boogey men to fight against who are taking away their "liberties". Most people can't even define how anything in the bill takes away their "liberties." What is happening in our nation is that people are afraid and are reacting out of fear which is obviously not rational. I'm not very objective in this health care reform. I'm against it. I'm not against lowering the costs of health care or lowering the cost of insurance. I just do not think this bill does those things. My decisions are not based on facts, because, let's face it, there are no facts about this bill since, by Nancy Pelosi's own admission, it had to be passed before we find out what's in it. So my decision was based on what happens if what the dems are saying is correct as opposed to what happens if the repubs are saying is correct. I prefer to err on the side of caution. Like I said before, what happens if the republicans are correct? What happens if your health insurance premiums rise and your access to health care declines? What happens if the medicine you need is too expensive and you're denied?

Kathleen Sebelius said that it's now time to eliminate the profits by the drug companies. By eliminating profit, you eliminate research. This should worry anyone with a chronic disease.

So while I don't condemn the violence, I can certainly understand it. Myself, well, I have cancer so I'm probably not long in this world and the hopes of new drugs will soon be derailed. I'll just keep paying my life insurance on time.

To all the other conservatives who are mortified and embarrassed by these kinds of tactics, please turn OFF Rush, Glenn, BillO, Sean, and their types. Hyping hysteria into violence gets ratings, at the expense of a civil society. Eencourage all your friends to turn them off, too. Health care reform isn't 'unconstitution', its the part that mandates that every person has health insurance and the part about you getting a 'fine' and will be done as a 'tax' through the IRS. Those two parts are unconstitutional. Found in the 10th amendment, the interstate commerce clause and then the tax clause.

If they kept those two things out, the Republicians wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

I was sold on the idea that our Great Grandparents came here to find a better life. They said to me so many time that they worked hard so their children wouldn't have to struggle. Looking and Tom, The case can be made that the commerce clause gives the congress the ability to mandate people buy insurance because doing so will affect the larger economy. It's not the first time the clause was interpreted that way by the Court. The clause gives Congress the power to regulate insurance markets and medical care markets. It can be argued that the individual mandate is essential to this. This is why I say this is a murky area. The constitutionality is not open and shut as some would make it seem. The court often rules in favor of Congress when it comes to the commerce clause.

Inciting violence simply because you aren't getting your way or disagree with political views is disgusting. We have a model of democracy that the entire world is supposed to revere and emulate - and we have a minority of people that don't mind hurting people while looking like a bunch of fools because they have been fed a bunch of bull and scared to death by a party that is trying to gain power again. Thank you for a well written and reasoned reply.

It, however, makes me heart sick that people have become so self-obsessed that they can turn a blind eye to suffering around them. I cannot.

I'm a hard working tax payer as wel...and here's the kicker - I don't have any children. So, my neighbors kids and their friends are going to school on my dime. The house that didn't burn down earlier this month was not mine - but my tax money helped pay the fire department who saved the house. The Green River Killer didn't kill any of my friends or family, but my tax payer dollars provided money to support the pursuit of a serial killer. I've never had the pleasure (and I do sincerely mean this) to serve in the armed forces, but I'm more than happy to pay my taxes to make sure that our armed services are well equiped, paid and taken care of when they leave the service.

It boils down to this for me: If I can do anything - paying my taxes, donating to charities, buying a homeless person a cup of coffee, letting a friend live with me while he was out of work, driving meals for wheels to shut ins who have very little human contact outside the people who bring them their meals...then that's what I do. It breaks my heart that we, as a society, have become so hard hearted and self absorbed that the thought of lending aid and assistance to others is a sign of weakness...or outright insanity.

So...I'll continue to fight for my world...where no one goes hungry, abused, neglected, hated or repressed. I get angry when I see tripe being vomited on tv or boards like this by misinformed people and others who have bought lock, stock and barrel into these hateful ideals...and I can be rather terse with my language - for that I apologize. Sometimes the injustice I see citizens of my country drowning in is just too much to take. And really...I would credit you with a bit more than buying into that meme that 50% of the country pays taxes while we have all these free loaders taking advantage of the system. Mathmatically and logically, that isn't possible.

Well Mike the reason why no one complained about mandatory car insurance was because they were not ingtold that they had to pay for car insurance whether they owned a car or not and if they did not they would be fined or possibly go to jail and that the IRS would be in charge of making sure yuo have it or tax you. I have read a bunch of posts about how Beck and O Rielly and others FOX news people are causing these acts of violence and those who are suggesting that are just as ignorant as those that are committing these acts of violence. I have watched fax throughout this Garbage and well as CNN and I can tell you for a fact that Fox news has said many many times that violence is not the answer voting is. I have however heard CNN and MSNBC and others say over and over again that the tea baggers are violent even though most of the violence was caused by the anti-teabaggers at every rally. I do not condone these acts of violence and I know that those who are commiting them think they are doing right but, they are not. If the Government on all sides would do what the people want things like this would not happen, and they have happened to the Republicans in the past also. The DEMS new full well that the people did not want this and they did it anyway but, rather than commiting acts of violence we can just vote them out of office. 1. It is a false analogy to associate Democratic party with big government. It is a fact that for the past 40 years, Democratic President is has been the REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTS that consistently out spent every Democratic President. Ronald Regan was a great speaker, warning people about big government. He actually outspent Jimmy Carter after all his talk. On top, he spent beyond his revenue (taxes).

2. A bigger government does not associate with a Socialistic society. GW Bush, GH Bush, and Ronald Regan had the biggest government America has seen, but we are still not a Socialist country. In fact, by all standard we are still CENTER RIGHT according to many neutral social meansurements. One fine indication would be our Supreme Court, which just pronounced one of the most PRO-CORPORATE decision ever. If you take the current health bill that may be passing, it is almost identical to one that Pat Nixon was trying to push through. As a note, the Democratic candidate at the time, Ted Kennedy, was trying to push through SINGLE PAYER. Pat Nixon is not all that far from that of B. Goldwater.

3. I believe the Obama camp has never detered from 'help-thy-brother'. Obama is probably a more of a centralist than Hillary. Pleasing the Progressive? He is far from it. However, the Progressives understand that government moves at a very slow pace. It is designed to do so to retain stability. So to many Progressive, they do not understand why President Obama, Peloci, Reid do not give the Republicans some of their own medicine by passing bills in the middle of the night, constant Up-Down (another term for Reconcilliation), refuse debates,... Democratic party has always been about the PATH we take, and not about the END GAME.

4, Democratic members like myself never felt the need to redistribute the wealth. I believe everyone need to contribute. Those who are unfortunate, will require help. That should be of our social duty. If an elder is past their production, we should not throw them out, but to help them to continue contribution in their own ways. Back in the days, our Grandparents help raise me when my parentsd are not around. Is that still the case? Today, our wages has deteriorated so far that the retirees are scare of becoming retired. 5. One clear difference between the Republicans and the Democrats is that of fundamental belief of human nature. Republicans believe human are weak and require to be led. Democrats believe that human by nature are good, and simply require guidance. Look at the the governance style with the Republican administrations and Democratic administrations. Cut out all of the spins and labels, and see the gut of the legistation and the strategy...

6. Haves and have nots do not make ones political position. I know plenty of Democrats that started poor and become Republican as they become rich. I also know Republicans who become Democrats, they did not loose their jobs, nor their spousesl....

Pro-Choice is not, and never has been, the same thing as Pro-Abortion. Also, the Bible that I read (The New Testament) doesn't condem people for their sins alone, that thought process is wrong (assuming that you ARE a Christian). Also, I'm not sure what your argument even is, earlier today Obama signed an executive order that will not allow federal funds to pay for elective abortions covered by private insurance.

While I do agree with you, Canada is not USA. They have freedom of speech, however there are laws that don't allow hate speech. The students there did not protest peacefully and they should be ashamed of their actions, but they may very well have saved Ms. Coulter from the Canadian law.

They're confused,the congressmen just received their end of life counseling notifications as required by their bill,to be done every five years for people their age, they really need to read the legislation they pass.

God, when are people going to stop trying to convince others that nonsense like this is the truth? There is NO requirement for end-of-life counselling - not every five years, not at any time. The ONLY thing the bill establishes is that doctors will be paid by Medicare specifically for assisting their patients with end-of-life decisions. Doctors are reluctant to spend time doing that now because they don't get paid for it. This will allow seniors to discuss with their doctors just what their wishes are as far as extraordinary measures being taken, living wills, etc. No one will HAVE to do this counselling if they don't want to.

I am not condoning what is being done. That being said I see that ALL OF THE BLAME IS BEING PUT ON THE REPUBLICANS. How do we know that it is not democrats trying to make the republicans look bad? People do stupid things to get what they want and the democrats have already proved their strong arm don't give a crap about the people feelings by passing the bill people were begging them not to. I personally think it's obvious that the heated, irresponsible, and hyprebolic rhetoric coming from the Fox News/ Tea Party crowd encourages this sort of behaviour. How could it not?

Before I'm dismissed as a "libtard", think of all the Hitler, Nazi, Communist, etc. references, all the paranoid talk of an omnipresent government takeover, death panels, taking away guns, letting illegals over run everything - all of it contributes to an almost apocalyptic, extremely paranoid world view if its all you hear day in and day out. And then there is the dehumanizing and demonizing effect of this rhetoric. I've seen it on this board - refering to your political opponents as vermin, as parasites, etc. all of this serves to inhibit people's nature sense of empathy towards their fellow man. Afterall, you don't empathize with a rat do you?

Most people who subscribe this type of rhetoric are reasonable enough not to turn to violence but for those people who are already a little unhinged and crazy, its like they're a pool of gasoline and the rhetoric is the match.

This is the inevitable results of demonizing and dehumanizing your opponents. The horrors that sort of rhetoric can lead to are the stuff of nightmares... when people start to believe that large segments of their country's population are inhuman or somehow evil, well then they can pretty much justify any horrific act of violence towards them.

Consider this a warning. If this sort of thing continues, expect things to get far, far worse.

What's interesting about all this is, public policy has often been cobbled together with some modicum of punitive overtones designed to control those subject to the policy - this was especially apparent in PRWORA, by the way, another bill passed by the Republicans using reconciliation.

More people will be subject to some level of, for lack of a better word, control. They have benchmarks specifically legislated that they must meet. And I for one have known for a long time that if the majority of people had to deal with some level of control in a public policy, they were going to react badly. The events in recent days proved me right. Unfortunately. What is also noteworthy is, those who were subject to control and scrutiny in the past have not called and made death threats, thrown rocks through legislative office windows, or cut gas lines to relatives of legislators. They didn't stand inside and outside the Capital and yell racial or lifestyle epithets at legislators, carry signs in the nature of those we've seen in recent off-party rallies, or present fund-raising strategies in terms as the ones discovered in February.

The pinch of the policy shoe is now on the other foot. The very same people who excoriated those subject to previous policies, implying that, somehow, those people were somehow deficient, bad, dishonest, ignorant, or pick your own disparaging word, are now experiencing what they dished out to others. And I can't even say they are acting like animals, because animals don't act like this.

The Republicans spear-headed PRWORA. But they openly stated they would do whatever they could to destroy this administration and this particular legislation - health care reform. They obstructed the effort that went into the bill that was passed and then, in deliberate efforts to block it after passage, they came up with amendments which they thought would make the Democrats look bad at election time.

Republicans, where were you in the process to create this legislation? Where were those amendments six months ago?

All you did in 8 years was pass a bill which was measured by the CBO to raise the deficit between $300-400 billion.

You passed tax breaks for the wealthy, the first of which skyrocketed the deficit over a TRILLION dollars.

And 4-1/2 years after the second tax break for the wealthy was passed (May 2003), this country entered the worst economic downturn in 80 years (December 2007).

Now you're concerned about costs? Now you want to limit Viagra for those convicted of sex crimes? Now you want members of Congress on Medicaid? Are you kidding?

Medicaid, is a means-tested program that YOU REPUBLICANS limited and used to control the poor. No Congressman would be eligible AND if they had passed that amendment, frankly, anyone in the U.S. would then have been eligible for Medicaid. So when you go in November and trot that little gem out, I'll be reminding people about what you really did.

It prevents Insurance Companies from writing a new policy for children, with an exemption in that policy for a pre-existing conditions related cost

this means that children will not only be denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions, but Insurance companies will no longer be allowed to cover everything else in a new policy, starting now

They are adding 16000 people to the IRS to fine and collect fines related to this bill, this is only going to get worse if they don't change this bill by the time the 2010 tax returns come out. The guy did not get beat up. He got pulled down on his butt by his shirt after the tea partier's knocked down a pastor. You can see it clearly in the video. The guy then hopped up and walked all over the place and the next day was filmed by the media in a fricking wheel chair asking for handouts to pay for his medical bills because he had no insurance. No injuries to his face noticeable in the video yet he was supposedly punched in the face and kicked in the head. Pathetic. His attorney claimed the following day he was too weak to speak yet he was up and running all over the place after being pulled down the night before. He has no credibility.

You can't even count on the witness reports from the police of the supposed beating because two of the so-called witnesses were arrested for interfering and one of them tried to claim police brutality after "tripping" himself" which was witnessed by others. How can you believe a bunch of liars?

Fighting is wrong too but this guy was a total fake and it sure does not look to me like they were entirely in the right. It looks to me like a bunch of people getting overheated and fighting then exaggerating the events to look favorably in their position.

Jim McDermott is just as bad. She had government healthcare coverage available to her through Medicaid. So why is it that government healthcare let his family down? They don't have the integrity to state that. His mom died because she had an illness and didn't get treatment that was available to her. I know because I've been without insurance and my kids have received good treatment.

Violence or threats of violence are unacceptable period. But if I'm going to take any news outlet seriously they should have already been covering the threats received by opponents to the healthcare bill instead of trying to lable main stream Americans like the Tea Party organization extreme. I was not in favor of the current bill that just passed Congress and was signed into law.

I sympathize with the Tea Party, I'm a libertarian at heart.

But violence is counter-productive here. If you are angry about the substance and manner in which the bill was passed, the clear and honorable path forward is to channel your energy into the coming mid-term election campaign.

While sympathetic to the cause of individual freedom and liberty, I am not a Tea Party activist, nor a Republican, in fact I tend to vote Democrat more often than not as I often state here. But I don't blame the Tea Party activists who posted the addresses with a recommendation to stop by and thank the government fools who passed this junk, they did not advocate violence, and there is nothing wrong with citizens verbally expressing their disgust with these politicians so long as they refrain from threats of violence. It is not the Republicans fault either, and they have been condemning the attacks as well.

But if you are one of the people angry enough to do something like this, take a step back. The Democrats overreached on this. You have the high ground in the majority of the public's eye and mind right now. Capitalize on that, do not blow it by immature acts of violence and racially or bigoted epithets. In November you will need the backing of the largely independent and moderate middle to win back control of the Congress from the Progressive left. Most of us here in the middle are angry enough to join with you right now, we will likely still be in November unless you act in ways which alienate us.

So give stiff and principled opposition. Act in accordance with the law. Do not become violent, do not give into baser instincts and threaten violence. Act in ways which will be productive to the cause. By November if you do not screw this up, you can have a sea change in the Congress in terms of control and power. But you will need people like me in the middle to support you to get it. I am terribly ashamed of those that have turned to violence. I don't believe for one minute that it is coming from only one side. There are Dems and Inds that disagree with this bill and most of it has to do with backroom bargins to get the vote. These deals added even more to the cost of this bill and people are fed up. It's another deal of throwing more money at a problem and the problem doesn't away.

When one has a problem with their budget, is the answer to spend more money, especially money you don't have. The proper way to have gone about this was to start with programs currently available and fix them. Find the fraud and waste in each program and work to fix it. Smokers saw a huge increase in taxes on cigarettes, with the money to go to a children's health program. Where's that money? We're told children don't have insurance but folks are paying taxes that are suppose to go to them.

As far as this bill is concerned, sure, many say at least it was passed, something has started after over a year of all the garbage that went on with it. That bill needed to be fine tuned and that should have taken place before a vote. When you have anywhere from 50 to 60% (pick a poll) opposing it as written, take a few more months and get it right. Now Congress is trying to make it right in a short amount of time... like that will really work.

I don't mind helping those that are having a difficult time in their lives. I have given time and money to help. I do have a problem with people that make a lifestyle out of living off the generosity of others. You can not help a person if you continue to enable them.

Congress needs to understand that the people of this country that work hard, people that serve to keep our country safe (thank you Vets) people that want a better life for their children and grandchildren are tired of politics as usual in DC.

We are not talking about a water heater which has a pressure relief valve. The police report says that a shot was fired into the air (possibly from "miles away") and struck the window at a "very steep downward angle" breaking the glass but not damaging the closed blinds inside. The intact bullet was found lying on the carpet about a foot inside the room.

This man has spent approximately $950,000 in legal fees to keep that information from being released. Why? If everything is in order, why not show the proper papers and then the birthers and truthers would be satisfied. I don't consider myself one of these, but I would like to see his actual birth certificate. I cannot get a passport with the certificate given me by the hospital with a hand and foot print on it, I have to present an official (actually the original) birth certificate to get a passport. Why all the withholding of information? It does leave you to wonder...was he actually a "natural born" citizen. If it is ever proven that he was not a natural born citizen, then anything he signed into law will be null and void, and he would be the first president to go up on charges of Treason along with any of the DNC who knew the truth. There is a pastor Manning in Chicago who says that Obama was not a natural born citizen and was a CIA operative to Afghanistan to teach them how to fight the Russians in the 80's and that Columbia University was a cover. Wow. Manning says that the CIA knew he was not a natural born citizen, but are covering for him as they did not realize that he could actually be elected president. Manning is having a trial in Chicago in May 14-19 with witnesses and he says, documents that verify this. I cetainly will be watching this one...it could be very interesting. He declares that Obama is a Muslim and helped Al Quada in the 80's. Maybe this is the time we should be looking closer.

He should be forcibly deported back to Australia, from whence he came. And all of his USA press certifications, USA based media properties should be dissolved, dismantled and redistributed to honest news organizations. When you have a major political party actively promoting and protecting fringe groups within its base, that advocate violent overthrow of our elected government or secession, a very bad end game is not very far behind.

It's not the right that is threatening legitimate government, it is the communist-inspired left that has infiltrated OUR government and is bent upon changing this country into something the original Americans never wanted, and the Constitution never intended. It is not something that most of us want today, yet we let it happen.

The left has been working for decades to change America. They have changed immigration law (the Immigration Reform Act of 1965) to restrict people from Europe and increase numbers of "non-white" people from the third world to change the demographics of society, knowing that these people would be more sympathetic to socialist ideologies. We let them do it.

The left infiltrated the news media, the print media and the entertainment media. They began heaping scorn on our morals, our heritage and traditions. Really now? Do you recall the war protests? I was a Demo up until this last year and I remember all the nasty protest rallys. Very violent and ugly. It was unfair to lable the Demo party as a whole then, and its not fair to lable the Repubs. now. And I do not recall the Demos being called out by the G.O.P. by the actions of these groups. Something else; What has been the only documented case of physical abuse? It was when the SEIU beat up the black guy who belonged to the Tea party. Why are yall not addressing that. You are the uneducated one. I discussed Social Security, not S.S.I. These are seperate funds. SSI is for disability and SS is for seniors. You contribute to both programs as you work with the hope of not needing either. Every dollar that you put into SS while working is paid back to you with interest within 7 years of starting recieving SS benefits. After that it is pure welfare.

Do you realize that the military is a form of socialism? Or would you rather have private companies provide the protection for our country? Do you like the benefits that you receive from the government? That is socialism. Something to think about. I also have absolutely no need to justify neither my intelligenc nor my education. Now lets talk social security. Yes it is a socialist program only in the effect that it is government run. Technically social security was supposed to work as a forced investment to ensure that old people were taken care of and it was also a program to provide "temporary" relief to those who needed to get back on their feet.

Now this is where it may become difficult for you so I will go slow. The original idea was for people to invest into social security and those investments were suposed to be insecure bonds that would yield an interest rate that would in turn allow for a modest income to pay basic bill and living allowances during the retirement years based upon the average life span at that time. So not entirely a socialist program as you were only supposed to receive what you had paid in plus interest. Now Social Security was managed by the government and did not allow for the increased living age nor for the continuing robbing of those funds for government use. As government expanded those funds were increasingly robbed and not paid back kicking the can down the road. As such govenrment has again proved that it cannot even administer a simple program as secured investment in government bonds with a set lifetime expiration. And you want to give government the power to run the entire healthcare program which has proved itself to over and over again to be unsustainable.

As for my service mane a time and place and I will gladly meet you there to prove my service to you. I live in AZ, I have served my country proudly and will always hold my head up in pride. You just don't sound like any Marine Corp Vet I have ever heard. I would be very surprised if another Marine Corp Vet would say that you should be speaking in such a way about your country, it's government, and fellow citizens. They teach respect for others in the Marines.

As for money borrowed from SS. True, that money is being used elsewhere, but it has nothing to do with the reselience of the program. The problem is that seniors continue to take after they have gotten their own share back. It then becomes a fully socialized policy where the person is getting money from the government that they did not directly contribute.

As for my education (I am getting so sick and tired of repeating it), I have a Master's Degree in Social Science with emphasis in Economics, Poly. Sci, and Geography with a self direction toward Environmental Economics. As for serving, I taught in a public elementary school in the inner city for 8 years (and yes, during that time I was shot at).

In the Marines your priorities are God, Country, Corps and Family in that order as outlined by my drill instructors. As for serving yourself you have never served in the armed forces and inner city public school in no way counts. In fact with the failure of inner city schools you have just shown yourself to be more of the problem.

Now as for SS when you calculate the actual yield times that should have been utilized and the approximated life expectancy then resiliance of the system is the fault again of the government who have proven again and again that they cannot utilize predictive models well enough to manage programs. Again bad legislation that just proves that the government has no business trying to run a business and are incompetant to the point that the health care bill will be another dismal failure.

As for your education I could really give a crap but lets go head to head anyway. I have a masters in Environmental Science from ASU with secondary degrees in geology, hazardous waste management, emergency management and chemistry.

Well, I was in the Air Force for both Iraq and Afghanistan. All I can say to the Marines is that the USAF and the Marine Corps are the only two attacking forces we have got. I was happy to provide you guys with air cover... thankyou for giving the USAF some protection at those FOBs.

As far as you there 'celery', best you remember who you were serving as a member of the Navy. You were serving the logistic needs of the United States Marine Corps, and using the technology we (the USAF) engineered for the USN.

I have been saying it all along, The Tea Baggers are setting terrible examples for our children, look what happen to Daisy's granddaughter, those people should be ashamed of themselves. First, I don't understand why people continue to say the majority of Americans don't want health care reform. If memory serves me correctly, the majority of the electoral college voted for Obama...and he also won the popular vote! Anyone voting for Obama should have known he wanted health care reform.

Second, having Police, fire, military is, as the pp stated, NOT socialism.

Most people crying "socialism" would go bat-s-h-i-t-crazy if they didn't receive their social security checks, medicare, if their trash didn't get picked up, or public works wasn't filling in potholes or cleaning up fallen trees after storms. And all that book learning that takes place in schools and libraries?!?! Well heck, that's socialism people, paid with OUR tax dollars!

So, if you hate socialism so much, you'd better not ever use any of those services because someone might accuse YOU of being a socialist!

When it comes to protests and violence the left leaning protestors are the ones that throw rocks and bricks and overturn cars and burn stuff up.

Did these people leave a calling card or return phone number? The far left is VERY VERY CLEVER and there is nothing they won't do to win - including subverting any grassroots movement from the oppostition.

I do not believe that any Democrat or Republicans had to do anything with these unbeliever act of crime against the Democrats that voted for keeping abortion in the Health Care bill. I believe it is the loony members of the anti-abortion group, they will kill the abortion Doctors that perform abortions and say they were trying to save a lift. Go figure Nuts nuts.

One of these Anti-abortion freaks was just given a life sentence for the murder of an abortion Doctor, and his defiance was he was trying to save unborn babies. I'm glad the jurors saw through his lunacy.

No one likes the idea of our money to go for the abortion of babies. But their way is beyond belief. I hope that this group has to pay the maximum penalty ever time they do this kind of thing.

Unfortunately, there are sooo many people who do not understand the Tea Party. I am 63 years old and have never in my life complained (well complained too much) about our government. I never dreamed that I would be out protesting my own government. But, I joined the Tea Party to have my voice heard because it was not being heard in Washington. We are not a party of violence or anger. We are an organization committed to a Congress of people who stay within the lines of the Constitution. I would like to have an America for my children and grandchildren, and this fades with every socialistic mandate the liberals pass. If this health care reform is soooo good, #1 why is our representation not including themselves, #2 why is it being put off so long to become effective, #3 why when the Democrats have a supermajority and can do anything they want, did they have to whore themselves to get votes for passage? The liberals are telling you that the Tea Partiers are an angry mob...this is not true. We are working together to salvage America from the Democratic Socialist/Marxist party. There have been lots and lots of protests and the only violence was when one of Obama's SEIU employees protesting the tea partiers' protest, beat up one of the Tea Party members. Oh, I'll bet that you got to see that on ABC,NBC and CBS. The video of the Black Caucus walking to the House said we were shouting the N word...after reviewing it many times, the shouts were booos and kill this bill...in effect, they lied. The liberals use racism and anything that they can to knock you off course. If you still believe after seeing exactly how low they will go, you could have been watching them on CSPAN. They have whored themselves over this legislation and remind me of the Carpet Baggers after the Civil War who raped the South. Now they say they are being threatened. If their lips are moving, they are lying. They would like to discredit the tea party because we are growing and are a pain in their sides, so they are lying. The tea party is made up of Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, and even some Democrats who are sick of their own party. Everyone who wants a better America is invited to join. We have Asians, Whites, African Americans, Indians, Pakistanies with all types of religious backgrounds and all types of jobs. It doesn't matter. Our mission is to restore the Constitution, which, by the way is actually the LAW that Congress seems to ignore of late.

George Bush and the Republicans never tried to silence their opposition. I think the difference now is that logic and reason is on the side opposing our government. The left is unable to debate or rationalize their actions. The only way to counter the opposition is to eliminate, minimize, or silence them.

And let me say, the left will conflate the "threats" against them to use it to gain more power over the people. Take away the right to bear arms and what not. You cannot honestly tell me that this congress has not received threats and angry calls prior to the final vote on this healthcare bill. There is no way.

stspecialbus how about showing proof of any violence occurring at a TEA Party function?? While you're at it, how about some proof of racial terms being shouted at anyone during protests?? We have yet to have any proof of the political party of any of the perpetrators of violence. Maybe we should wait until some arrests are made and then see who the "suspects" are. I "suspect" there may well be some "D"s involved in some of this foolishness and the longer it takes to make an arrest the more I'll believe it!!! BTW if there are Republicans that are arrested for making threats or committing acts of violence don't expect me to try and excuse them, they deserve the full weight of the law to be brought down upon them (as does any other person who follows their jersey to the point of violence) !!
