Why not just include an "are you deceased?" question on the application form?

Boy oh boy progressives! Its not looking good for your "chosen one" right now. Normally after a president does a major speaking engagement his numbers have always risen (historical fact).

Not so for Obama who's numbers actually fell almost a full 4-5 points on avg (multiple polls) after his debacle a few nights ago. Almost 60% strong disapproval rating at this point coupled by an even more damaging 72% disapproval rating by non-affiliated voters (Independents).

So yes, when mentioning the registering of dead people to vote it is a legitimate concern since Obama and the progressives are obviously going to require that demographic in the near future to have even a glimmer of a chance of staying in office.

Of course you can always keep on living in your little pretend worlds by deluding yourselves into thinking that AP-GDK polls showing Obama & progressives with commanding leads, etc.

Apparently you're misunderstanding the story. This is about benefit checks that are STILL being sent out to people after they died- meaning they were collecting the checks when they were alive.

It has nothing to do with putting a deceased person on any application. They're referring to automatic payments that should have stopped at death, but didn't.

President Obama is trying to fix the problem, he did not create it, He is trying to stop wasteful spending, you people will find something wrong in anything our President does, at least it's better than no, no, no, no, no, no!

Most of these payments are made to people that were already collecting and died during their time of collecting payments, which probably means relatives have been still collecting the money on behalf of the deceased.

Speedo...The leader of our country should be proficient in identifying all alternative solutions to a problem and following a thorough analysis of the alternatives, calmly and confidently develop and execute Plan A, Plan B, etc. This is the mode of operation used by President Obama and it is helpful that he is more intelligent than a whole room full of his detractors. It is also why he has been able to accomplish more to benefit the vast number of American citizens than any previous President. He gets the job done! His facing up to big oil, Wall Street, big insurance and pharmaceuticals will result in benefits to most Americans. All of this while stimulating the economy to stop our severe recession and providing tax breaks for most Americans will be viewed by historians as super human and heroic. Much still must be done to reach a fair balance between the needs of business and industry and the needs of the general public. President Obama wisely promotes measured steps in that direction…and, when that governmental balance is achieved our country will be the better for it. President Obama represents our best and brightest hope for competent national leadership.
