Is she secretly working for Republicans? Her face on TV all the time is the best way to get the electorate turn away from Dems. Can't pay enough to get those results.
Are we being had!!! Sure looks like it! Randy Altschuler, the better man, won this race fair and square, but, as typical, these lowlife democrats, the ones that have bankrupted America in the last two years want everybody to thnk there was some kind of cheating going on. The only thing rotten in Denmark was the stench of Tim Bishop and his fellow democrats. Bishop has sold out the Seniors and Disabled, voting with that pig nancy pelosi 99% of the time. Well Bishop, you're through out here on Long Island, as say the voters.
Are you guys F'n kidding? After what President numb nuts pulled with Gore and the Supreme Court in Fl, I can't believe you guys have the gall to accuse the Dems of fixing anything. What short memories the repugs have.
I am a New Yorker and not is Suffolk County. Is this the 2000 election all over again with the hanging chads. The Democrats better challenge these results.
It's funny how many people can be fooled by politicians. Doesn't matter if it's Republican, Demarcate or whatever, they all lie to get what they want and use the people of this country, that they work for, as nothing more than a ATM machine.
"You can fool some of the people some of the time, you can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."
How true it is.
Until we have term limits on ALL elected and appointed seats in this country we will have the same old BS out of Washington. Politics are suppose to be a civic duty "by the people" and then back to the private sector. No retirement and medical for life on the peoples dollar. Put them on SS and Medicare and these programs would of been fixed yesterday. Politics were never meant to be a career. We don't need the same person in office for 47 years.
Until the people of this country take back Washington from the politicians we all are just feeding the problem.
We all should be on here to fix the problems in this country instead of insulting and calling each other names.
Grow up.
GOD BLESS AMERICA, and may it become what it once was.
The election of 2000 Broward County Florida illegal ballot Bush on top name to the left vote to the right Bucanan name on the right vote to left, Gore on the left vote right. The 2004 election Ohio was stolen from the democrats. Then the gop always come up with Chicago coming up with extra ballot to elect Kennedy, the truthis Kennedy would have won without Illinois.
Wow. The tired, old 'we failed our high school citizenship exam' comments are back. When will some of you people get the fact that the popular vote is not what gets you elected president in this country? It's by design that we use an electoral college - otherwise NY, PA, and CA would be deciding who would lead, and the rest of our votes would be irrelevant. If correct (it's not), it would have given Richard Nixon the basis to challenge John F Kennedy in 1959. How would you have liked the possible downside to that???
Didn't like the fact that a Dem politician designed the flawed Broward County election process, and that the Supreme Court had to do it's job and make a Constitutional determination? Sorry, about that. The 2000 election was Gore's to lose. He couldn't even carry his home state. Some Pols sweep into office, some blow huge momentum (think Bush 41 and Gore's former boss 8 years earlier). Since that was 10 years ago, anybody in favor of getting back on topic?
In this case, when "people" call in results it is easy to transpose a few numbers to create a different outcome. NY has probably kept that human element for a reason. Maybe there are more candidates who "conceded" in NY so the real count was never pulled from machines.
The Sec State should certify the election as it was counted on the machines. It is ridiculous to keep counting the votes by hand, introducing human error again, until Al Franken wins. Count the absentee and Military ballots that New York deliberately sent out late in violation of the law. Use the machine count. Don't keep recounting in dem heavy areas until they get the outcome the dems want.
I am tired of this crookedness in US elections. Maybe we should ask the UN to supervise our crooked elections and make recommendations about how to avoid future vote fraud. We certainly are not doing very well leaving it up to local election supervisors. No wonder George Soros spent millions to have dem election supervisors elected around the country. Disgusting.
Biigerproblem. I'd told you before: YOU CANNOT ARGUE WITH REPUBLICANS they are all emotions. you show them facts and numbers. They made a teathical scene or tantrum. Why bother ? ? ?
I suspect the real culprit is an election worker, no doubt a Democrat, who tried to pull a fast one, not realizing that there is a backup for verification.
It's obvious that, since the 'preliminary' false results favored the Democrat, it's a Democratic worker that falsified the data.
Yours are too, you learned that the capital B in the top left corner of the comment box makes thing bold. Good job, you get a cookie. By the way, "they match your conclusions."
Can't believe the amount of trolls screaming voter fraud! Give it a rest already. You've been proven wrong time and time again. Republicans appear to be idiot savants.
ballot box monkey business is a hallmark of the Republicans. Not surprising the numskull put it on the wrong side. Hey Money can buy a Congressions/Senate seats and many were brought by the Republicans this past election with Illegal Alien Money. You will reap what you sow.
Oh, so he just decided not to concede because he "had a feeling," I guess ... sounds more like he knew the numbers would change once the "reviewer" got access to the machines ... see how easy it is to turn your rethug conspiracy theories around?
I can't believe what I am seeing. The two-bit thugs in the Supreme court stole the 2000 election. The Bush administration cleaned out the treasury and banked our credit cards and gave it to their friends. The Dems got a country from the Repubs that is a burned out shell and after only two years it is all their fault?! You are the stupidest morons I have ever seen. Wait two years until they start blaming groups (Jews, Mexicans, Muslims, Gays) for our problems like Hitler did.
Sorry the figures I found show he lost by 500,000 votes
Perhaps you need a civics lesson on how a president is elected. This country does not elect its president by popular vote but thru the electoral college. The college is made up of delegates from each state according to their populations. This was put in place so the least popular states could have an equal say in determining the country's leader instead of having the most populated states dictate to the others.
It has been a pretty good system for 200 plus years. I see no good reasonto change now.
If we put our minds to it, couldn't good old-fashioned American ingenuity find a better way to come up with accurate election results in a timely manner?
"Wayne Rogers said the original numbers were reported by telephone and relayed through intermediaries before being entered into the county's computer system"
Everything about that sentence shouts that there are ways to cheat.
Ways to cheat, and WTF are they doing in this age of 4G communication that you can get 3,453 different road options to get from Sedona to NYC in under 20 seconds, but we CAN'T electronically transfer election data?
They're scanning the ballots, then HANDWRITING results, and communicating them by PHONE??????????
Am I the only one that thinks this is utterly ..... stupid?
That's why the machines have a memory card. The official results come from the memory card and there is a paper ballot as safeguard. When we all want instantaneous results then the count is called in from the printout on the machine until the cards can be pulled from the machine and the results electronically entered into the database.
Tom, WHY is there a memory card and NO satellite transfer of the data contained therein? I can be sitting on the beach on a Sunday morning, and automatically get the NY Times on my Kindle, as can a few million other people who own readers and iPhones and iPads, etc etc etc etc.
And they can't figure out a way to electronically transfer the data? Come on.
There isn't any vote counting process that can be made to be error free, or impossible to cheat. I have no problem with each precinct taking their numbers and calling them in to someone who writes them down again. Mistakes will happen, sure, but look how easy it was to catch THIS kind of mistake.
The problem is, and will always remain, the people doing the tallying. There isn't much we can do about that. Either someone will be able to enter the network and manipulate results (the automated reporting system) or someone will be able to skew results by not counting all votes, or counting more votes than were actually cast (the manual reporting system). Either way, and no matter how we try to make it more secure, we will always end up at the same point--we must have trust in our Boards of Election.
How to get this trust? There isn't an easy answer, but one way would be to make voting less easy, by that I mean to end same day registration, end mail-in ballots but for a very few who demonstrate a real need, and end early voting. Another would be to periodically audit the Board of Elections with a private accounting firm. None of this is free, and I doubt much of it will change the easiest and most common forms of voter fraud. Until you can find a way to get dead people, convalescing non-sentient patients, and non-voters who suddenly start mailing in their ballots, to stop voting, then the rest of this is more or less academic. Oh, I forgot, illegals and non-citizen aliens and convicts too. The problem is that all of these groups tend to overwhelmingly vote for democrats, so it's a stretch to think that dems will want to tighten up the system.
There is technology that can correct voting irregularities, but it’s the politicians, the Democratic, and the Republican Party that don’t want this technology. Then they would not have these after election distortions, calling each other liars and dragging out the results. Most politicians are attorneys’ and like to twist the truth to make their opponent look like the cheater. Voters of this country deserve better, especially after putting up with all the negative advertising prior to the election. Let us vote for term limits, how many times would that have to be counted?
It will be a great country again very soon, these next two years are going to fly by, and then the Real Americans can get rid of this piece of fecal matter that is in the White House now.
Who are you......@!$%#ing Emily Post....and all of you leave Phyliss alone....you are less than she ....not more..........
The recounts should take place in every state....it is not even correct ...and changing in my state as time passes.....I am very sure this election was all fixed.
And save you smart remarks ....I pay no atteniton to people who live as clones.......remade with all the defects still in place.........None of you have the right to assign yourself as critics.
I have to agree with you kaos11. The fact that we've been doing this for about 235 years and we still can't get it right. How can people have faith and confidence in democracy when they don't have it in the system that decides it.
Isn't it strange that the Republican's always find a way to win. I agree a re-count by hand is the only way to solve this. The Republican party in this country has proven they are corrupt and have no problem with fixing an election. For the sake of the voters and the country a recount is absolutely necessary.
Isn't it strange that the Republican's always find a way to win
You mean like Christine "Oh wait I just found some uncounted ballots in the trunk of my car" Gregoire in Washington state. Or maybe you meant Al " I like felons that illegally vote for me" Franken. And le's not forget Harry " we'll get the SEIU to Fix those pesky voting machines" Reid.
OOPS Silly me those are democrats. I wonder what I could have been thinking.
Yea, you're so far off base with that crap it's almost funny.
It's ends up to be NOT funny, becaues you're actually deluded enough to believe it.
The liberal Democratic machine in NY might be only second to the liberal Democratic machine in Chicago, THAT'S how bad it is. It ain't the Republicans.
Who is notorious for voter fraud? Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Seattle, etc. What do they all have in common? They're all democrat run. Looks like they stole another one from Rossi. Thanks a pant load King county.
Those of you associating voter fraud with the GOP really floor me. The Dems hold the title on that hands down. If your feet were as thoroughly washed as your brains, you might someday get laid. Until then, stick with Huff Po down in your basement and get off to the sophmoric banter.
It is the dems who keep insisting on automatic voter registration with NO proof of citizenship and no proof of eligibility to vote. Then it is the dems who keep insisting on allowing voters with no proof of identity. I wonder why?
This look very suspicious!!! Another "memory card" error-- in favor of a republican! Shades of Ohio!! Hmmmm...... for quite some time now, people have become quite suspicious of our voting process! Are we being had!!! Sure looks like it!
And who makes the machines? Diebold manufacturing, originally a provider of safes to banks, based out of Hamilton, Ohio - John Boehner's home district! And if you look at Diebold's record of campaign contributions... (anybody got the link? I'm only finding from 2004 and earlier....)
I think you need to try reading it again. The problem was with the manual reporting of the vote counts by "phone" not by "memory Card". I trust the memory cards a lot more then then the people. People will lie, misinterpret, and misread to suit their own agenda.
the bigger question is how did the democrat suddenly get the extra 3000 plus votes to begin with? i would call that a hell of alot more shady then anything else you could imply.
Another "memory card" error-- in favor of a republican!
As another poster already commented, it was not a memory card error, it was a human error. Also, the error did not favor a Republican - it favored a Democrat, allowing him to win an election he otherwise would have lost. It might help to read the story.....
Seriously, I don't know any more than you do exactly what error, if any, was made or who made it. Let's wait for more details and then we can comment. Putting the partisan politics aside is a pretty good idea right now.
Here we go again another Republican getting beat and the votes are wrong and recount by hand. Who is helping this one. This is such bull just like when Gore beat Bush and brother Jeb helped out.
Wow, did Al Gore actually become president while I wasn't looking!!!! Must have had a senior moment and missed that. Actually, he didn't beat Bush. And how did Jeb help out exactly? The Supreme Court didn't vote the way you wanted so the election was tainted. If they had voted the other way, you would have been fine with it. Crybaby. Just, so you know, I didn't vote for Bush either ... or Gore. It was a choice of dumb (Bush) and dumber (Gore)
Just to remind everyone, three liberal newspapers sponsored a total recount and were forced to admit that Bush indeed won under every scenario Gore proposed. Also the main argument was Gore only wanted a recount of one democrat controlled precinct while Bush wanted an entire recount. It's pretty blatant what Gore was shooting for.
The reason it went to the supreme court in the first place was because the liberal state supreme court violated their own constitution. The results by law needed to be certified three days after the election. Since Bush was ahead, he was certified the winner. That should have been the end of it. Of course liberals never let the constitution get in their way, they just make the law up on the fly. The supreme court didn't let them get away with it.
How about LBJ made famous in the book "the Dukes of Duval" about dead people in Duval county that voted for him. How about RFK wining by the slimest of margin with the help of Sam Giancana. Lets not forget , Stuart Smalley and his convicted felon vote.
Lets not forget the most famous election riggers, the Republican party. Voter intimidation, voter fraud, they've done it all, and continue to do it. They are the reason that the National Guard and the U.S. Army had to be called out to enforce federal laws against discrimination, which is unconstitutional.
Lets not forget the most famous election riggers, the Republican party. Voter intimidation, voter fraud, they've done it all, and continue to do it. They are the reason that the National Guard and the U.S. Army had to be called out to enforce federal laws against discrimination, which is unconstitutional.
Hey Karen, ask the Bush Doj why they didn't investigate legitimate intimidation efforts against latinos in Arizona, then you can talk about the creepy black guy standing in front of a polling place.
Hey dead people and convicts should have as much right to destory this country as liberals do!! But I would bet dead people and convicts would make a more informed decision on who to vote for that liberals do.
And the repubs are famous for not counting ballots and using the SCOTUS to seize power. How about the Senate race in Minnesota where the clearly defeated repub kept things in limbo for months?
During a recount, ballots are checked against actual voter registration. In the very old days maybe dead people were counted, but not now. If you going to say one party does something wrong, then recount every county, city, state, and national election; it would keep government at bay, because of the long wait determining who won. It is such an rediculous statement to say that only one party cheats. Here in Tenn. every voters registration is checked against the books before we can get a code to vote. And it's the same whether we are Republicans, Democrats, or Independents.
What on earth are you smoking? The Democrats famous for cheating? How else do you think Dubya stayed in the White House 8 years? Remember how the Refacistcans stole both the 2000 and 2004 elections, especially with brother Jeb's help and the crooked ADT (no paper trail) voting machines that Jeb finagled the Florida State Legistlature. Not to mention the Florida State troopers and other law enforcement agents that intimidated and threatened democratic voters. On top of that, the RNC bribing corrupt leaders of many Black Churches to encourage their congregations NOT TO VOTE. And finally, the local Refacistcan leaders financing racist fringe groups to block access to the polls while local law enforcement, just stood there and did nothing.
That was only in Florida. In Texas, Michigan, Mississippi and Arizona, the tactics were even worse. Oh, I know nothing I say will change your rant because just like any other Right-Wing-Nutjob Republifacist, you will see only what you want to see, and feel justified in doing what ever you have to do to get your way. The only time you Republifacist have a problem is when somebody does the same thing to you that you've been doing to everyone else. Then you scream bloody murder.
You see, it is a well known fact that you can't be a conservative, Right-Wing-Nutjob Republifacist WITHOUT BEING A HYPOCRITE!!! Otherwise, you'd choke on your own moralist doctrine.
I think the insulting remarks are really getting old. I am tired of having to ignore the snarky remarks and respond only to the point being discussed, as if it is OK to be this difficult while those of us online are only wanting conversation.
Can everyone try to grow a little more maturity in our dialogue???
To all you GOP crybabies... I have a series of two-word responses for all of you who point the fingers at the Democrats and cry and whine about voter fraud as you always, always, always do...
Hanging chads. Supreme Court. George Bush. Nine-Eleven. Dick Cheney. Iraq War. Guantanimo Bay. Afghanistan War. Second term. Hurricane Katrina. Wall Street. Bank Bailouts. Home forclosures.
It wasn't voter fraud that put your party in the drivers seat for any of that... you chose the candidates who caused all of that with your eyes wide open... and you didn't learn a thing as you put the same jack holes back in this past November 2nd.
When the hell are you going to stop punishing all Americans because you don't know the difference between s%*t and Shinola? Who needs voter fraud when Republicans can count solidly on the idiot vote?
Fascinating. So this is an accusation? Hmmm. Show me the link to this controversial stealing of a senatorial office. Or is it - as usual - just the same old right wing BS? I'm betting you won't be able to provide a link - but boy look at those votes up! 16 of them! Shows what idiots will believe with not even the slightest shred of evidence. Monkey see, monkey do.
Why is it that Dems are convinced that if their party did not win, that it MUST be rigged?!? MAYBE the majority of Americans 2 years ago were voting for change, just NOT the change that was shoved down their throats by an arrogant Democratic Congress and an oblivious President.
President Obama won the election based on the will of the people.
The economy has gotten better (most don't like the pace).
We have a health care law (there is no mandate based on the most recent election based on polls 48% want it repealed, and 47% want it kept or tweaked).
Both wars are winding down.
Lastly, there have been examples of this type of fraud linked to benefit Republicans.
And examples of this type of "fraud" to benefit Democrats. Except in this case they caught the "fraud" before it was too late. Or OMG, could it just have been human error. And the original "fraud" in this case benefitted the Democrat. Get your head out of your %@#! Before you make too many assumptions about me, I voted for Obama the first time. Not next time lol
People voted democrat because they promised fiscal responsibility and health care reform. What they got was $1.3 trillion dollar deficits year after year and Obamacare. They were punished for lying, end of story.
Why is it that Dems are convinced that if their party did not win, that it MUST be rigged?!?
LAM, the same question could be asked of the conservatives/ GOP in the crowd, in regards to that same 2008 election you want to denigrate so much...
Far as I'm concerned, the change so far has been good, though in many cases hasn't gone far enough. So your "will of the people" argument isn't without its holes...
Tho one place where Mob rules -go figure? once a politician is a politician only pedifiles are lower on the food chain but not by much! You know one way or the other who ever cheats the best.
Seems like you didn't read the article, the phone in results said the Dem won, the computers say the Rep won. The crooked part was in the phone in numbers that, either by plan or mistake, my bet is mistake, gave the vote to the Dem.
I will bet you that the manual recount will backup the computer results. Computers don't have agendas and are much less prone to mistakes then people.
SEIU maintains the voting machines. That doesn't tell me that the machines were tampered with in favor of the Republican. Quite to the contrary if there was any tampering.
Who knows, maybe it was an honest error. Let's wait and see before we go nuts and throwing around accusations...like the Dems. did w/Bush election.
The only thing missing from this story is an actor portraying Louis, from Casablanca, and in full Vichy uniform, saying. "I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that there is cheating going on here in New York!"
I am utterly appalled by the amount of 'the other side must be crooked in order to win' stuff going on around here.
And both sides will also call the media for being wrong...
Didn't this get reported right? An ERROR and someone admits it and now wishes to correct it. And both sides are acting like they are the ones to do it.
I just pray it comes out right; no hidden agenda by either side. I only hope it comes out in favor of how the people actually voted.
Polling ONLY at the designated place on the designated date. NO early voting or absentee voting except for military and federal personnel assigned to duty overseas. All voters MUST have and present valid ID.
Mandatory leave from employment to vote at a reasonable time.
Free coffee in the morning, free beer after voting (off work only).
No reporting of election results until the final tally is certified. Paper ballots marked by hand or directly by machine and checked by the voter before submitting. Ballots handled only by a committee of the past election's losing candidates or their designees.
Unfortunately, I doubt this will do anything to quiet the continual bombast of political "analysts" (schills).
For all the screwed up results of elections, we have one law to thank.
It is the Help America Vote Act of 2002, which was passed to validate the electronic voting machine industry and to search out and uncover left wing voter fraud.
The Help America Vote Act of 2002 also served to cast the corruption of the Florida 2000 election in concrete and spread its benefits around to all the other states. Legislators were told before they voted that it was to prevent a recurrence of Florida 2000, but that was a lie.
The Help America Vote Act of 2002 is a bad law and should be repealed.
One problem with your idea Bill Marvell, the cheating going on is with those running the elections, not the ones voting in it. That and if you remove the absentee voting, you remove the rights of many to vote. The Constitution protects this for ALL people, not just military and Federal employees. Why should a Federal employee be allowed to vote if they are overseas, and not someone overseas with a private company or on vacation? What about the disabled who cannot go to a polling place and wait for hours in line? Maybe we should just restrict voting to people not named Bill, would that be OK?
eric: the fraud was perpetrated by whomever over reported the votes for the democrat and tried to give him the election, how is that the republicans fault or doing? do you think the republicans fixed it so that the dem would win just so they can say wait they cheated? lets use some common sense here.
You don't get it. The real totals were given by the phone. The memory cards were tampered with later, and then ...... oops we didn't get the votes right.
And you know what? The voting record, now having been changed, will back the fraud.
The memory cards were tampered with later, and then ...... oops we didn't get the votes right.
The story said nothing about memory cards being tampered with. If you have any proof they were, I'm sure the Attorney General would be very interested in contacting you. In short, if you have proof, submit it. If you don't, please stop wasting our time with your wild conspiracy theories.
media - Don't expect Eric to use common sense. He's a die-hard liberal, and couldn't possibly wait for the recount (or any investigation) to find out what really happened. It isn't enough of a message to Obama or Eric that a majority of Americans soundly rejected the policies and direction of the past few years
Eric---you are missing the point. The Republicans did not need to resort to voter fraud----the Dems and their liberal policies of the past two years virtually handed the House to the Republicans.
How soon you Republicans forget about what happened in FL in 2000. This is nothing new. BOTH SIDES should be held accountable at various times for voter fraud.
Again, the Republicans just need someone to turn into a heretic to keep fooling the voters with their falsehoods. You all better enjoy these next two years, because this isn't happening again... If your Republican candidates don't implement change any faster than the last round of Democrats did, the Independent vote willl again rule in favor of the Democrats.
Anyone know what a Republican's biggest fear is? A black man serving a second term in the Whitehouse!
How soon you Republicans forget about what happened in FL in 2000.
I do indeed remember what happened in FL in 2000. The votes were counted and recounted with both parties watching. At the end of it, George Bush won a narrow victory. You obviously did not like the outcome, but that does not change the fact their was no voter fraud.
BOTH SIDES should be held accountable at various times for voter fraud.
Agreed. Any voter fraud on either side, people need to go to prison.
If your Republican candidates don't implement change any faster than the last round of Democrats did, the Independent vote willl again rule in favor of the Democrats.
Probably not, historically whatever party controls the White House gets the blame or the credit for whatever happens. For example, in 2008 Republicans controlled the White House and Democrats controlled the House and the Senate. Which party took the blame for everything that went wrong in 2008?
Anyone know what a Republican's biggest fear is? A black man serving a second term in the Whitehouse!
I think I know more Republican's than you do and that is not their biggest fear (or even a fear at all). An out-of-control federal government is their biggest fear and I think what we saw the last two years certainly qualified.
To all of you flaming eric for his lack of proof, are any of you able to back up your own comments on how this was engineered by the liberals? You guys are the ones fearing the great liberal conspiracy(e.g. "Out of control federal government") of the White House. The point is, this was reported by both candidates, and fopefully, an honest effort towards accuracy.
To all of you flaming eric for his lack of proof, are any of you able to back up your own comments on how this was engineered by the liberals?
Robert -1831795, I didn't say anything was engineered by the liberals. In fact, I specifically said let's wait for more details before we comment (post 6.4). As far as my out-of-control comment goes. I believe I can back that up. We had a pork laden "stimulus" package that put almost a trillion dollars (!!!!) into the pockets of a select few; we had a Supreme Court justice appointed (Sotomayor) who believes her judgment should trump the constitution; and we had a trillion dollar health-care reform debated behind closed doors. Seriously, what would your comments have been had George Bush been the architect of this? By the way, I would have complained if George Bush had done any of those things and I see no reason to give Obama a free pass.
" It isn't enough of a message to Obama or Eric that a majority of Americans soundly rejected the policies and direction of the past few years"
Actually no they didn't, otherwise both the House AND Senate would be Republican. Most Americans want balance and for them to work TOGETHER not against each other trying to take the majority of money for themselves. THAT is what America voted for you tool!
As the investigation isn't done, there is also no proof that I am wrong.
Eric, your post shows a lack of understanding of how things work in America. In America people are innocent until proven guilty. The people you accuse of tampering with the memory cards don't have to prove that they didn't tamper with them, you have to prove that they did. None of us have to prove your accusation is wrong, you have to prove that it is right. No where in the story is it suggested that anyone tampered with the memory cards so your accusation is out of line. Again, if you have proof, submit it. If you don't have proof, please stop wasting our time with your wild conspiracy theories.
Sounds like getting caught, is doing it wrong............
Same thing happening here in NC with Bob Etheridge (The Who are you Man).........Bob is stealing votes left and right.........last night he found a few Ballots in his back pocket....
Dems are doing everything they can to crook and cheat..........
Jan, while in this case it's Dems - and most cases in NY it is Dems - frequently the problem isn't Dems or Reps - it's NY.
There is something so fundamentally wrong with this state. I've lived here for 22 years, and the only word I can come up with is .... incompetence.
The level of incompetence that is tolerated on a daily basis just boggles the mind. From the subway station to the deli to the MTA to the elected officials to the gal behind the counter at Starbucks. It's like the liberalism in this state has permeated everyone's brains, and there's just so much incompetence that when people are faced with it they don't even realize it because they're incompetent at realizing the person is incompetent.
Five years and we're OUT of here, I wish we could go now but the kids need to finish high school. In private school, because the highest, most astonishing level of incompetence I've EVER witnessed? The local school boards.
JoeCool, I hope Ellmers wins that district race. Etheridge is a slimey snake and a corrupt politician. I cannot believe the NRCC is not helping Ellmers and did not help her during her campaign.
Eric; It's pretty sad to see someone as delusional as you appear to be with your postings; Perhaps you need to seek out the proper psychiatric care on Monday morning and see if they can help you. As a second suggestion, quit slurping down that liberal democrat koolaide. The Democrats are probably the ones controlling the memory cards; They just hadn't gotten around to "fixing" them; But not to worry, they'll take care of it with the absentee ballots OR discover a box or two of uncounted ballots as soon as they know how many they need to win.
OMG, can we get serious here? The person reporting on the phone would KNOW that the card was going to be checked ... he/she would KNOW that misreporting by phone would not stand if it didn't match the card ... thus NO MOTIVE for misreporting. Either A) this a simple case of human error, or B) the CARD was changed. So pick your poison; either this is an example of election fraud for all you conspiracy fans, or it's an example of how inherently flawed our election system is. One choice makes you a bit more rational than the other ....
You mean the ONE Black Panther with ONE baton who was briefly at ONE polling place? Do you seriously believe that ONE Black Panther cost McCain the election?
I am glad McCain a sarah lost, but inthe case of 95% of these posters I wish they would have won. The majority of posters here would get what they deserve.
Moxie..It was in PA. THey didn't have a badge saying "Black Panthers"that I recall seeing, but they were black, wearing all black clothing, and thumping billy clubs on the palms of their hands right outside the door of the polling place. Call it interferring or intimidating, it fits. If you think they were simply black voters just there to vote, then why were they stationed outside in a uniform of sorts, and with clubs. They were there to intimidate all voters, black or white. Their racist message was pretty clear.
bybush: Hope you're working and don't mind paying taxes through the nose, for cattle call health care. Or are you already living off the rest of the taxpayers? Obama/Dem. administration will tell you what's good for you and what to do, make all your decisions for you in secret meetings, make you dependant on them by taking your money to dole back to you as THEY SEE FIT, so if that's what you wanted, you got what you deserve.
Aggie, in PA there was ONE Panther at ONE polling place in PA thumping ONE club. A complaint was made, police showed up, and he left.
There was one other black person in the same video footage (shown repeatedly on Fox; is that where you saw it?) who also was wearing black (but did not have a club). Police did not ask him to leave; you know why? Because he was a registered poll watcher & was authorized to be there.
Aggie said "Or are you already living off the rest of the taxpayers?" Well, since the Repub states DRAW more federal dollars than they pay in, I guess if he/she lives in a Repub state, he/she is "living off" others' dollars every time he/she drives on a road, uses a state agency like a drivers' license bureau, needs a cop, crosses a bridge, drinks clean water, etc. That tired old saw about Dems all being on welfare is just that - tired - and it illustrates true ignorance about the real issues this country faces. It's a lazy, misinformed, and simplistic attempt to blame all our ills on Reagan's imagined "welfare state" dynamic rather than put aside the vitriolic hyperbole and work together toward real solutions,
Moxie...PA is a big state. Neither I nor YOU could have observed every single polling place in the State. And it was not ONE, there were 4-5 "men in black" with their clubs. Where I saw it, I can't remember exactly which of the major TV networks. Doubt it was FOX. That is not my go to for daily news. Even if the footage was shown on FOX, it would have to have been a video, so which news showed the footage doesn't matter.
Spiritdance: I don't care whether it's a Dem. or Rep. state, they all use taxpayer dollars for roads, cops, bridges, etc. They are largely State and city tax dollars used for many of those things, that YOU and I enjoy. That is not what I was referring to and you know it. I agree we must work together toward solutions. But the Dem. Congress and Senate wouldn't even entertain suggestions from the across the aisle. They would meet in secret. That's not working together. What does it say when the President, himself, just recently referred to Reps. as "the enemy" and told them they had to sit in the back of the bus. Is that his idea of bipartisanship? To be sure, the Dems. can take "credit" for just as much vitriolic hyperbole. Mention Palin or Tea Party, then stand back and listen to the accusations of racists, bigots, and so many lies about either, I'm surprised some of those haters don't spontaneusly combust.
Room for improvement (to say the least) on BOTH sides. Hopefully with this new shift, they will begin to work together. I, for one, am now holding the newly elected Republicans feet to the fire. I hope and pray they do a better job and LISTEN to, or at least consider the people who put them there.
Aggie, I'm not the one who implied that those who disagree with me are all on welfare! I made the point about roads and other infrastructure to point out that most of the people who pull that tactic are 1) making an ignorant, childish inference about people whom they know nothing about, and 2) completely ignoring the fact that if as many Dems were on welfare as implied, the Dem states would not be toting the load for the infrastructure in this country ... the Repub states would be pulling their own weight instead of drawing, on average, $2 federal money for every$1 they pay in!
If there is an election and the democrats are involved there will be FRAUD. This has never failed since I was a kid and this is the same today. From Black Panthers intimating voters at poling places to voting machine "irregularities" nothing has changed. It is amazing how many dead people, felons, illegals, and people in nursing homes vote democrat. It is also amazing how many times military voters get completely left out by the democrats.
I'll just say I am getting a little tired of members of our Armed Forces getting screwed out of their right to vote, whoever is doing it for whatever reason. That has to stop.
Your comments are the biggest pile of horse pucky I've seen in a while. The people who make most of the electronic voting machines happen to be big republican donors so unless an electronic machine prints out a receipt of all the things I just voted for, I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. The states that Secretaries of State were wrongly deleting names from the registered voter list were Republicans. The robocalls being made to tell registered Democratic voters not to vote until the day AFTER election day were not made by Democrats. The racist and violent emails sent to a non-profit non-partisan group that was registering people to vote came from the King Street Patriots tea party group in Texas weren't Democrats. I could go on and one with all the dirty tricks the Republicans have pulled for decades, including 2000 when we elected Gore and got Bush. Making claims to the contrary doesn't make it true.
I thought Mayor Bloomberg had a good observation that we use computers to do everything: reservations, email, etc., why does paper have to be used?
It's not like you get to keep it or see if the paper was actually scanned in the manner in which one filled it out. I better "feedback" in the process would help, i.e., lights like levers you could look over, a pause that refreshes, and then hit a button. I read a lot of complaints about the referendums on the backside of the paper too.
One would hope this is the step to the next type of voting machines once described a few years ago when the Federal government threatened to sue over the tampering with the mechanical voting machines, thought that tampering was shown yo not have cause a different result per se. according to a story in the New York Post. NY State Penal Code has a felony charge for "Criminal tampering" in the theft of public services and perhaps it should be applied to the electoral process. Save some trees I'm sure electronic voting can have triple redundancy for much less.
NY is so bass-ackwards, they'll do it the stupid way until 2020 then they'll do it only the half--stupid way, and only be 20 years the rest of the country.
I can say this, I live there. If there is a way to make a thing more difficult than it needs to be, NY will find it - every single time. If there is a way something slowly and inefficiently and with the most mistakes possible, NY will find it.
And we KEEP electing Democrats. I cannot figure it out.
Easier isn't always better. Actually, electronic voting is far easier to manipulate than paper or mechanical systems.
All voting is a question of faith. Small group voting, like raising hands in class, requires little faith because all can see the vote and the outcome. Larger group votes require faith in those handling and counting the votes. Extremely large votes require extreme faith in the system, in the rules and process and in those who administer the system, the rules and the process.
Electronic systems can never be trusted because corruption can occur in so many places. Defective materials (bad chips, bad batteries), corrupt or sloppy initial coding, lack of flexibility in ballot construction, outside interference (hacking), mishandling or misadministration. If electronic systems are so secure, why do all major companies retain electronic security staff? Why is the Pentagon concerned about its' electronic security? Internet voting is just putting any office in the hands of a good hacker (Russian, Iranian, Chinese or American).
This is a tough one because people prefer different mediums for voting, some like machines and some like paper. But when machines are used, I think paper must be a part of the process so that the machine results can be validated as either correct or incorrect against the paper ballots. I also find it deplorable that voters are not required to present some form of government picture ID to prove they are in fact the voter who is registered to vote. I think that would stop some degree of voter fraud.
The Democrats in New York were famous for "fixing" the lever operated voting machines so that no matter what levers you pulled they ALWAYS voted the straight Democrat ticket; Kind of like in Las Vegas this time around. Of course having all the county workers being members Of SEIU and having your son be the Supervisor of Elections in that county didn't hurt old Reid at all
I can understand that mistakes are made, but why is it necessary, if you are a republican, you have to have major resources just to make sure the recount is above board? If you are a democrat, you just keep having the votes counted until you win, like in Washington state a few years ago.
You know, people are SO BITTER than Rossi cannot win against ANYONE here in Washington. It would be funny if you didn't use it as propaganda so damn much.
For those who DON'T live in Washington State, here's the Cliff Notes:
Dino Rossi ran against Gov. Gregoire. And he lost Lost. It was a close race.
Next election the governorship was up again, he ran AGAIN. and lost AGAIN. To Ms. Gregoire AGAIN. It was also a close race like the last one.
This year, he ran for Senator. Against a different candidate. and lost to her. Granted, it was a close race (Sen. Murray had 51.5%, Rossi had 48.5% and that's from the Sec. of State website), but he still lost. I'm shocked I haven't heard him screaming about a recount yet. Because they had to recount the Governor Race Mr. Rick is mentioning above two or three time because it was THAT close. And the one before that was recounted one or twice because it was THAT close.
However, Recounts were done. Rick, please shut up about it. I don't come on here talking about how recounts in Florida gave Bushy an "electoral" lead over Gore in 2000 but not the popular lead over him and that's how he won. that was a load of horse manure and proves how screwed up our system is.
I digress. But, there is a question I'm just DYING to ask the Rickster here:
Hey Rick - are you that Ass Hat I swore at a couple years ago at my condo board meeting when you brought up a two year old vote and suggested to others at the meeting the reason why the vote went the way you didn't want it to was because we kept recounting until the votes said yes? GO F YOURSELF. I will say that to your face again too. How dare you question the integrity of those you don't know, and didn't bother to participate with when something happened.
There's SO MANY of you that blame recounts and raise holy hell where Dems won or the vote went against you, but how many times do the votes go against the Dems after a recount and not a WORD is said? Get over it. Deal with it by not slandering others and instead try to work with your candidate of choice to promote the good things your party likes, and not take clips, sound bytes, and snippets of things that are said by others to make it sound like they hate the poor/uninsured/love raising taxes/etc.
That goes for you too Dems. Stop playing sound clips that make it sound like someone hates local businesses. There was an ad on the radio where the Rep candidate said that the "Military Tanker needs to be built in America, whether it's here (WA State) or elsewhere, it needs to be built in America." Oh no, in stressing him concern that it be built in the country, he suggested to move it to Alabama or somewhere else, therefore HATES Boeing and wants to "Take our Jobs". I get what he's saying, stop trying to make him the villain for saying to keep it in country but not insisting on WA State. I didn't even LIKE the candidate but it deeply bothered me the manipulation of his words. It's truly sad that in order to win elections we have to manipulate everyone else....
Fellow Newsvine posters, what a lovely gift I have given you today: here's a rant for all of you to poke fun at because you can't think of ANYTHING intelligent to add to the convo. enjoy. I don't care. I stopped caring a while ago because I realized that a majority of people vote along party lines because obviously "the party puts forth the best candidate so that's who I vote for!" That's a direct quote from an aunt. I was 15. I was disturbed by her ignorance and stupidity. It takes too much effort for people to read the voters pamphlet, research what actually happened in the "my opponent is evil and here's why" stories on TV, and vote with their brain instead of whose sign is prettiest and has the correct R or D on it
I live in Oregon but watch the first Rossi/ Gregoire election. The first recount was won by Rossi. The second recount was won by Rossi. Gregoire barely won on the third recount. In every recount all the counties numbers came up like the original count except for the heavily democrstic king county. Each time they "found" votes that were not counted before. they continued to "find" ballots until they managed to get enough for a Gregoire victory. The official in charge of elections in King county was found incompetent and was discharge and fined. In the law suit that was filed it was proven that there were over 1500 fraudulent votes cast but the "judge" dismissed them by saying that it couldn'tbe provenwho they voted for. Yeah right. Wonder what the dems did for him after thsgat
Rossi won the first two times and then in the 3rd recount he lost??? Tell me how is it possible to count the votes twice and get the same result and then you count them a third time and the results are switched? Notice that after they counted them a third time they didn't try a fourth since they got the results they were looking for!
Yes we don't want the facts to come out, that would really make the left mad. They can't keep coming up with votes on scanning machines. They have used them in our city for years, they work ok. It's the calling in the votes that seems not to work, everyone is tired and cannot or will not pay attention to detail. I haven't heard of any fraud around here. Guess we are lucky.
I think you need to try reading it again. The problem was with the manual reporting of the vote counts by "phone" not by "memory Card". I trust the memory cards a lot more then then the people. People will lie, misinterpret, and misread to suit their own agenda.
Is she secretly working for Republicans? Her face on TV all the time is the best way to get the electorate turn away from Dems. Can't pay enough to get those results.
Geez, after all the things that Dems do in every election you cannot be serious.
Looks like they got caught with their hands in the cookie jar again! Not to worry, they'll find some other way to steal the election.
It kind of makes a person wonder how many other areas had "mistakes".
"Geez, after all the things that Dems do in every election you cannot be serious."
Seriously. After the Dumbya Bush/Florida Fix, you can say that with a straight face? Gore even won the popular vote...
jesus h nipple, republicans will lie right to your face, and they dont even give a damm that everyone in the room knows they're telling lies.
Phyllis, I would imagine that you are one classy broad. Your vocabulary just reeks of it.
@phyllis
Sounds like a sixth grade education goes far these days. You sound like a club girl from the 30's.
Phyllis-2480124 "After the Dumbya Bush/Florida Fix, you can say that with a straight face? Gore even won the popular vote..."
The media did a recount after the Supreme Court stopped the recount, and Bush still won.
By the way, Phyllis, Presidents are elected by the Electoral College, not total popular votes. Didn't you take a Civics class in school?
wcritiquing
Your educational achievements are apparent to everyone, and they match your conclusions.
@Roy Wilson
Yours are too, you learned that the capital B in the top left corner of the comment box makes thing bold. Good job, you get a cookie. By the way, "they match your conclusions."
Sounds like Washington State!
just because you think the party you don't like did something does not mean the party you do like is not capable of the same thing.
Oh, so he just decided not to concede because he "had a feeling," I guess ... sounds more like he knew the numbers would change once the "reviewer" got access to the machines ... see how easy it is to turn your rethug conspiracy theories around?
very befitting...
Roy Wilson
"The media did a recount after the Supreme Court stopped the recount, and Bush still won."
Sorry the figures I found show he lost by 500,000 votes.
HJA
The problem is that all of these groups tend to overwhelmingly vote for democrats, so it's a stretch to think that dems will want to tighten up the system.
any data sent wired or wireless is easy pickins for hackers, they could easily change results
Pragmatic, they do that stuff so that they can cheat. Both sides cheat all the time it's a well known fact.
Who cares, nothing will change. This was once a great country. Now it's nothing but crap. Unless you work on wall street or the government.
I disagree with your perspective but wish you the best in your pursuit of the dream. I'm living mine.
You're much nicer than I am, handgunner.
I was going to tell him to leave and find some other country that he likes better if he's so miserable here.
It will be a great country again very soon, these next two years are going to fly by, and then the Real Americans can get rid of this piece of fecal matter that is in the White House now.
Aren't you just so classy, though?
Who are you......@!$%#ing Emily Post....and all of you leave Phyliss alone....you are less than she ....not more..........
The recounts should take place in every state....it is not even correct ...and changing in my state as time passes.....I am very sure this election was all fixed.
And save you smart remarks ....I pay no atteniton to people who live as clones.......remade with all the defects still in place.........None of you have the right to assign yourself as critics.
So, Al and FringeDivision seem to have the exact same opinion of the state of the country...
And it's pretty much the underlying notion behind all of the "take our country back" rhetoric, from either side, in any given election...
So why give Al all kinds of grief? He's not expressing anything out of the ordinary, opinion-wise...
When will we perfect the voting system in this country so that one party can never again steal the votes of the American people?
Yeah, Republicans would welcome that.
Remember in Minnesota Sen. Al Franken-D won a close election thanks to a recount
Pregnant chads just happen to, guess what? HAPPEN!
Who is notorious for voter fraud? Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Seattle, etc. What do they all have in common? They're all democrat run. Looks like they stole another one from Rossi. Thanks a pant load King county.
in Washington every recount causes the Republican to lose to the Democrate. This does not always favor GOP
Those of you associating voter fraud with the GOP really floor me. The Dems hold the title on that hands down. If your feet were as thoroughly washed as your brains, you might someday get laid. Until then, stick with Huff Po down in your basement and get off to the sophmoric banter.
How amusing. If a Democrat wins an election - It was voter fraud. If a Republican wins an election - It is the will of the people.
Let the 2010 Conspiracy Games begin once again.
It is the dems who keep insisting on automatic voter registration with NO proof of citizenship and no proof of eligibility to vote. Then it is the dems who keep insisting on allowing voters with no proof of identity. I wonder why?
what, are you kidding, when we have the most corrupt president in office. gee, start looking at the president and his cronies.
Yep, isn't it great!
Your comment is a perfect example of that.
the bigger question is how did the democrat suddenly get the extra 3000 plus votes to begin with? i would call that a hell of alot more shady then anything else you could imply.
No problem. The Dems are famous for rounding up enough dead people and convicts to win any recount.
Really? Name one.
Al Franken.
How about LBJ made famous in the book "the Dukes of Duval" about dead people in Duval county that voted for him. How about RFK wining by the slimest of margin with the help of Sam Giancana. Lets not forget , Stuart Smalley and his convicted felon vote.
Greguire in WA. Voter fraud was proved in a court of law but the case was thrown out anyway thanks to a liberal judge.
Lets not forget the most famous election riggers, the Republican party. Voter intimidation, voter fraud, they've done it all, and continue to do it. They are the reason that the National Guard and the U.S. Army had to be called out to enforce federal laws against discrimination, which is unconstitutional.
But the DOJ ignores voter intimidation when it favors the Dems like the Black Panthers in Philly.
JP-1483803
and you have proof of this don't you.
Yup, its documented that the first time LBJ got elected to Congress, Dead people in the local graveyard voted for him.
Hey Karen, ask the Bush Doj why they didn't investigate legitimate intimidation efforts against latinos in Arizona, then you can talk about the creepy black guy standing in front of a polling place.
this is not 1994. all the gop crying will not change the fact..

Otherwise, you'd choke on your own moralist doctrine.
so, I am neither a dead person, nor a convict and I'm helping out with the recount
Eric---looks like the voters have "changed " their minds. A Republican congress was elected by the will of the people.
Amazing what a little amnesia and billions of corporate money can buy. With a little bigotry and fear mixed in for good measure.
I got news for you, Obama bought the election just like he bought his senate seat. Notice I didn't call him president.
Let's see here 2000 5-4 supreme court for Bush, 2010 5-4 supreme court the best money could buy.
Democrats??? New York??? Crooked voting???
Now, why doesn't that surprise me?
Why would the dems want a republican to win?
Seems like you didn't think this through Sam.
Ah, but you know those memory cards are easily tampered with. That's why I'm saying that this could be fraud to help the Republican candidate.
"I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that there is cheating going on here in New York!"
sam-
George W. Bush??? Florida???? Crooked voting???
Ring any bells? Who was Governor of Florida at the time? Don't leave your chad hangin.
Guts....One could turn that back to you and ask who is the Governor of New York?
I am utterly appalled by the amount of 'the other side must be crooked in order to win' stuff going on around here.
And both sides will also call the media for being wrong...
Didn't this get reported right? An ERROR and someone admits it and now wishes to correct it. And both sides are acting like they are the ones to do it.
I just pray it comes out right; no hidden agenda by either side. I only hope it comes out in favor of how the people actually voted.
Amen brother.
You've got that right. Win or lose, it's easier to live with if you are confident it was honest.
Four thoughts for improving American elections...
Either way it was very close and probably would have been recounted, so why biatch?
One problem with your idea Bill Marvell, the cheating going on is with those running the elections, not the ones voting in it. That and if you remove the absentee voting, you remove the rights of many to vote. The Constitution protects this for ALL people, not just military and Federal employees. Why should a Federal employee be allowed to vote if they are overseas, and not someone overseas with a private company or on vacation? What about the disabled who cannot go to a polling place and wait for hours in line? Maybe we should just restrict voting to people not named Bill, would that be OK?
More good news this week.
Who has had custody of the memory cards. They are easily tampered with.
http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/story?id=2507434&page=1
Eric -
There are ways to detect tampering in the data. Every block of data has parity, time, date, and other bits attached to it. Tampering is detectable.
You didn't see the nightline show on it did you.
It's untraceable Tammy. That's why it works so well.
Yes because God knows, if an entertainment company said its so, it must be!
Attempted theft of votes?
No evidence to suggest that.
HAHAHAHA busted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! leave to the leftwing losers to try something like this !!!!!!
I heard your old lady is a Democrat.
Kroni3us - why would the dems want to change the vote in favor of a republican?
Seems like if there was fraud and it benefits republicans that the perpetrator is likely republican.
Your intellect is amazing. Take another toot and post some more.
eric: the fraud was perpetrated by whomever over reported the votes for the democrat and tried to give him the election, how is that the republicans fault or doing? do you think the republicans fixed it so that the dem would win just so they can say wait they cheated? lets use some common sense here.
You don't get it. The real totals were given by the phone. The memory cards were tampered with later, and then ...... oops we didn't get the votes right.
And you know what? The voting record, now having been changed, will back the fraud.
The story said nothing about memory cards being tampered with. If you have any proof they were, I'm sure the Attorney General would be very interested in contacting you. In short, if you have proof, submit it. If you don't, please stop wasting our time with your wild conspiracy theories.
Yea, Eric, I'm sure you have proof of that, right?
Of course you don't, you just get a tingle up your leg like Chrissy Matthews making up crap.
media - Don't expect Eric to use common sense. He's a die-hard liberal, and couldn't possibly wait for the recount (or any investigation) to find out what really happened. It isn't enough of a message to Obama or Eric that a majority of Americans soundly rejected the policies and direction of the past few years
That says it all.
OMG Eric lol : have another drink lib... It didnt turn to the republicans till your people got caught !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha
I do indeed remember what happened in FL in 2000. The votes were counted and recounted with both parties watching. At the end of it, George Bush won a narrow victory. You obviously did not like the outcome, but that does not change the fact their was no voter fraud.
Agreed. Any voter fraud on either side, people need to go to prison.
Probably not, historically whatever party controls the White House gets the blame or the credit for whatever happens. For example, in 2008 Republicans controlled the White House and Democrats controlled the House and the Senate. Which party took the blame for everything that went wrong in 2008?
I think I know more Republican's than you do and that is not their biggest fear (or even a fear at all). An out-of-control federal government is their biggest fear and I think what we saw the last two years certainly qualified.
To all of you flaming eric for his lack of proof, are any of you able to back up your own comments on how this was engineered by the liberals? You guys are the ones fearing the great liberal conspiracy(e.g. "Out of control federal government") of the White House. The point is, this was reported by both candidates, and fopefully, an honest effort towards accuracy.
As the investigation isn't done, there is also no proof that I am wrong. You are all hypocritical in making assumptions.
Why can't the demo's just do it right, for once?
They did do it right......
Sounds like getting caught, is doing it wrong............
Same thing happening here in NC with Bob Etheridge (The Who are you Man).........Bob is stealing votes left and right.........last night he found a few Ballots in his back pocket....
Dems are doing everything they can to crook and cheat..........
The dems didn't do it, the republicans tampered with the memory cards.
Like mafia corpses, 'forgotten' ballots are sometimes found in car trunks. As to New York and incomptence...unions, unions, unions
Yeah and if the Republican Party had an ACORN on their side, McCain would have won in '08.
+1 don't forget those Black Panthers............
You mean the ONE Black Panther with ONE baton who was briefly at ONE polling place? Do you seriously believe that ONE Black Panther cost McCain the election?
The one we KNOW about, moxie.
They're like cockroaches, for one you see, there's probably 1,000 you don't.
Moxie...I saw them. There were way more than one.
Aggie: Where, exactly did you see them?
Were they actually "Black Panthers" trying to interfere with voting?
Or were they just black Americans who were there to vote?
Yeah right, black panthers intimidating democratic voters in a strongly democratic district.
Now, did you actually see any other incidents?
I'm talking about welfare and you're talking infrastructure. NOWHERE did I say or imply that you were ALL on welfare. Talk about hyperbole...

Just wait for the internet based voting! The candidate/party with the BEST IT guys.. WINS!!!
Umm, did I read the article wrong? It said the "telephone relay" stated that the Democrat won, but they were actually behind.
So the Republican cheated how?
I am a Libertarian and we never win anything, but it sure seems that the comments don't match the article very well.
Just one chick talking.
Stop reading the article properly and stop making sense!! You are going to get banned from here!! :)
By the way, I was thinking the same thing when I was reading the article, I agree totally with you...
You can see the Democrats at work trying to steal the election with false numbers.
I think you need to try reading it again. The problem was with the manual reporting of the vote counts by "phone" not by "memory Card". I trust the memory cards a lot more then then the people. People will lie, misinterpret, and misread to suit their own agenda.
Your comment is a perfect example of that.
