Let's see here now, just about 6 months before Saddam invaded Kuwait in 1991 Saddam's good friend and ally Dick Cheney was over in Iraq closing an arms deal with Saddam. When Saddam happened to mention that Iraq and Kuwait were having a 'disagreement' over the Iraq/Kuwait border that might have to be resolved militarily. Dick told Saddam 'that's none of our concern, do what you feel you need to do'. We all know how that played out.
So if I were Mubarak and Cheney was flapping his gums about what good friends and allies we were, I would be trembling in my boots wondering when the shiite was going to hit the fan.
Cheney would not know a dictator if one bit him in the butt!!!
Mubarek wants US foreign aid, so he has pretended to have a democracy for 30 years. But what do you call a democracy in which Mubarek is elected all the time for over 30 years? He's pretending to have a democracy and we are pretending not to know of his ruthless and brutal suppression of political opposition.
Cheney represents our failed foreign policy of the past. People need to quit going out of their way to quote him. He was the neo con in the white house among several that almost single handedly hijacked our mission from Afghanistan to Iraq over the issue of US access to oil. Saddam was dealing America out of oil transactions while doing under the table deals with Europe.
Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and others were members of the neo con think tank PNAC that advocated the invasion of Iraq and overthrow of Saddam in 1998. He was the main person behind the scenes manipulating intel reports to lie to congress to get war powers. Then the documentary came out, Uncovered: the War on Iraq that interviewed the intel pros whose reports were manipulated. They deconstructed all of the lies.
Please just quietly fade away, Dick. You coopted the White House to pad your bottom line and took the country with you. Why are we still hearing from you?
Why don't you piss off and go play with Haliburton. Money is all that is left for you now. Oh you might give your lacky Bush a hug. He seems to be having difficulty adjusting to the idea that he is no longer vice president.
It's amazing to me that when a psychopath gets a hold of a gun and takes aim at a politician, the bullets that fly hit well-meaning Congressional representatives instead of any of the war criminals that led this country down a path of financial ruin.
Dick, We see The Lying A$$ Roadshow continues! We already knew you were in bed with this clown! You still won't tell anyone where the $20 billion you stole from the Pentagon Fund! Stay home and shut up!
Hosni Mubarak and his clan are reputed to be worth upwards of 60-Billion Dollars - that's $60,000,000,000. The results of the last "election" were completely rigged by Mubarak and his cronies. Egypt has a large number of unemployed and has huge problems with poverty. Who addresses those problems? Not Mubarak, he pretends everything is just A-OK. Who fills the void? The Muslim Brotherhood. Only the most incredibly stupid right-wingers can't see a problem here. Step right up Sarah.
Mubarak's good buddy - Big Dick - presided over Halliburton, a war profiteer of the first order. Cheney headed a commission that picked a V-P candidate for George Bush. Cheney's commission picked - drum roll please - Cheney. Unable to win the 2000 election fair and square, a panel of judicial activists known as the Supreme Court handpicked Bush and Cheney to head our government. (Please remember, this is happening in a "democratic" election.) Hosni Mubarak and Dick Cheney a friendship forged in the fires of hell.
Evil? Corruption? That is the very essence of these men.
Where were these detractors when Biden said that Mubarak was not a dictator? You just love the opportunity to vent your spleens against someone you decided to hate because he is Conservative and you are liberal.
This story would be laughable if it wasn't so pathetic. "Dead Eye Dick Cheney" bird hunter extraordinaire, one of the most hated people in our country today giving his "unbiased" opinion about what a Democratic President should do.
Why doesn't this reporter ask Charles Manson what he thinks the President should do seeing how he has such love for other races of people.
Dick is a corrupt old fossil and a criminal. The media even paying attention to this old murderer tells me that some reporter is either stupid, or he/she just wants to stir up trouble. The American people got rid of Cheney in the last election. And the media seems hell bent on throwing this old puke back up in our faces. R.I.P. Cheney....... and not soon enough for me and the rest of the free thinking world.
Rigged elections, graft, corruption, oppression, no middle class. Egypt is a republican success story and business model. Cheney is one swinging-Dick I'd like to see.
Ofcourse he's your good friend, he oppresses his people from improving their lives while allowing offshore companies like Haliburton to mine their natural resources while accepting his share of kickbacks.
This is again selective moralism, invading Iraq and killing thousands on both sides moral, because Sadam is a ruthless dictator. Going into NIGERIA and freeing the thousands of Oil Company work slaves, not moral.
Pretty much closes the discussion on this one; if DICK Cheney backs Mubarek, then he needs to go, as of yesterday....
It's not pretty in Egypt right now, but as I've said before, we need to stay good and well out of it. This isn't a foreign invasion, these are Egyptians saying they've had enough and are doing something about it. All this BS talk about doing a peaceful transition, blah blah blah; the Egyptians know this is pseudo-speak for nothing will change.
Those that be in America aren't worried about the Egyptians; they're worried about the Suez canal. Egypt has Her share of financial problems, and this canal could really set them up in the cat bird's seat if used properly. All have known for decades that this 'democracy' in Egypt is a sham, and now that civil unrest has reared it's necessary head Our government wants to get involved.
We've used the Iraqis in the past, friended and dumped Saddam, used Iranians, used most all at one time or another in the Mideast and they all remeber this well. Being fickle isn't a good excuse, and we can't even feign that. It was all about Russia over the years, and money and oil. They all know this, and is reinforced by the fact that since Sudan has nothing to really offer us, the worthless UN wealth redistributors are handling that one.
If it were us I wouldn't want any other nation poking their heads into our business; it has to happen from time to time, taking care of business when nothing else is or will work. Again, it's not a foreign nation invading, it's Egypt's own people that are transforming what is a faux democracy.
It needs to be us. We desperately need to have a peaceful revolution until our laws and regulations are returned to pre-Reagan levels. Reagan began the deregulation of corporations, media (THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE), the financial industries, etc...He claimed "the free market" was best to lead the nation. His predecessors kept the ball rolling with "free (not fair) trade", further deregulation,etc.. to the point that we are in now. Where the top 5% of the wealthiest Americans own about 95% of the wealth, Unions are almost non-existent and the large majority of the people are barely (if that) scraping by.
Our nation has become for and by the wealthy thanks to Reagonomics and the continuance of those failed policies. Tunisia, Egypt and others have finally stood up to the powers that be and said "no more, it is our nation and we will put people before profits.
Unless Americans follow their lead and momentum, we are destined to become (already happening) a serfdom. The haves and the have-nots.
We need to begin a peaceful Revolution immediately and not stop until our demands (like corporations are not people) are met.
Dude, what frigging country are you living in? Sure as hell not the US. Your problem is you have bought hook line and sinker the liberal BS being spewed by the Dems. So many of you idiots believe that only the Republicans are capable of lying to you so you allow yourselves to be led around like the lemmings you are.
The top 5% does not control 95% of the wealth. Those numbers are exaggerated to the point of absurdity. Under Bush the taxes paid by the bottom 80% of us declined while the taxes for the top 20% increased. Don’t hear many Dem's mentioning that do you. Under Bush the top 20% paid a whopping 85% of the income tax. Haven’t heard a Dem mention that either. In fact if you listen to the Dems you’d think the top 20% was getting away with highway robbery.
All of you who cry and whine about the Reb’s are nothing more than hypocrites. You are as far in the pockets of the liberals as the Jesus freaks are in the pockets of the Conservatives. Wake up and realize you’re the same no-brained, can’t think for yourself, morons. You’ve just been penned in on the left side of the fence instead of the right. Try to break free and use your heads. Maybe if everyone did that we wouldn’t get the same garbage, from both sides, heading to Washington every time there’s an election.
Hate and Tolerance by the Progressive Liberals, including a streak of meanness; a good recipe for a dangerous World. Dick Cheney has his faults. The hatred shown on this board shows the people writing, do not have what it takes to be upstanding citizens or Leaders of the US. Angry human beings, mostly at themselves, who envy what others have accomplished and can do.
Shameful, indeed. Death wishes, and plain boneheaded thinking will get you nowhere.
He's back, I see. Had there been a different situation, Cheney would have criticized the President for the approach. No matter what Obama would do, Dick would be there to shoot the idea to bits.
Okay, so Egypt wants more money? And, the billions that were already given never reached the people, right? They're in the off-shore banks, investments in property (so. CA, I understand.) Mubarak is merely following the script of every good dictator. Worth billions, eh? Hmmmm, I smell a rat somewhere, in all this. No, wait, TWO rats!!
Of course dick would consider mubarak a friend. dick send our tax dollars in the form of aid to mubarak, then mubarak buys US weapons in order to guarantee profits for dick friends and in return allows haliburton rights to drill baby, drill. That is how wealth is transferred from We the People to the corporate elites. Does anybody else out there get it or should I scream louder. When will we in the US have a run on the capitol to change the wasington regime?
My sentiments exactly. Besides, there's probably Cheney money wrapped up in Mubarak's corrupt little game. He probably has some businesses running there that are getting special treatment.
There are good reasons for there to be confidentiality in some of those communications.
Some things can only be shared with that special kind of friend. They must have spent many a happy hour in those torture chambers watching the renditions.
Well that did it, I was going to give Mubarak a chance, but if The Dick, Cheney considers him a friend - well ya know birds of a feather and all that @!$%#, I would flush the guy!
BUSH is vulnerable to arrest & prosecution for TORTURE if he travels ANYWHERE abroad. He recently cancelled such a trip because of this.
THE SHAME is: Bush, Cheney, Rice and the whole CRIMINAL crew of them should have been immediately prosecuted, found guilty and sent to Federal Prison by the Obama Administration! Mubarak collaborated with them!
YET he and his sperm are STILL spewing their Evil Venom!
I can just see Cheney and Mubarek at poolside in Dubai at the Halliburton Hilton sipping on cocktails. Dubai has no extradition treaties with other countries.
Dick, We see The Lying A$$ Roadshow continues! We already knew you were in bed with this dictator. Just tell us where the $20 billion you stole from the Pentagon Fund. Stay home and shut the trap!

Dick and the Hoser at the karaoke bar poolside, with Dick singing, "Dubai Dubai Do," and "I Shot the Hunter..."
---------------------
...Pretty good, but you didn't finish it: "I shot the hunter, but I did not shoot the coy-o-te!" (Texas Gov Rick Perry shot the coyote and saved the whole country in so doing). Will Cheney do the Marley or the Clapton version?
...Actually for the first song, how about: "There she was, just wallking down the street, singing Dubai, Dubai, Dubai, dumb Dickie doo"
I have to agree. The press seems to be trolling for sensational stories. Don't we have enough real news to report?
Cheney is a lying murderer. His opinion regarding anything that happens in this country means nothing. Just his fondness and friendship with a ruthless dictator pretty much sums up where his morality is.
Cheney, along with Palin, are just two crackpots who think their opinions and values somehow relate to the average American.
Stop wasting our time with these two. Nobody cares what they think.
What Mr. Cheney really means is, "Mubarak has been a good friend to me and my friends and we gave him billions of taxpayer dollars for that friendship." This does not mean Mr. Mubarak was a good friend to the Egyptian or American people (who Cheney took the money from). We should probably be as angry as the Egyptians. How much money have we wasted on this guy? Once again, everything our government gets it fingers into turns into a giant turd.
Yep, Angry, that was my first thought too. If Cheney likes Mubarak so much, he can give him a room to stay. Egypt doesn't want him, but they sure as heck should keep the billions of US tax money we've sent to their country. That's Egypt's money, not Mubarak's.
(Well, actually, I'd prefer to get the money back in the USA, but that's never gonna happen.)
And then the people wonder why these people hate America and Americans. Look at the lowlife garbage we have running and ruining our country and invading others.
The people of Egypt have spoken and their words are more important than anything Cheney has to say.
Mubarak and Cheney are to evils of the world that need to be eradicated imo.
What's really pathetic? People, emboldened by anonymity, making cheap (and incredibly stupid) jokes when the severity of the issue at point here has nothing to do with Cheney or his past history or his poor hunting skills, etc.
Cheney made a stupid statement but, at least in part, he had a legitimate point. Egypt did aid in U.S. efforts in that part of the world more than once. The question is not whether Mubarak was "a good friend" at some point in the past. The real issue is whether he is good for Egypt. There is an old axiom:
Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
And so Mubarak has held absolute power for over thirty years. Thirty years is too long. After that much time, it is a rare person, indeed, who can keep his eye on the good of the whole over his own personal goals. Even in the numerous monarchies around the globe, there is some degree of government management over a one person/one family rule. Without it, there is dictatorship.
It is not the responsibility of the United States to determine under what kind of government any other nation is ruled. As a friend nation, however, we are sworn to support other nations in their goals. A charge which we failed miserably in Iran. Sadly, our benevolence extends only so far as to what is good for us and not what is good for that friend nation. We have, in the past propped up some pretty evil governments simply because it is what the powers in charge at the time needed. No concern for the needs of the people. No far-sighted vision of what the future might hold. Just a sick, 'what's in it for me?' approach.
In a typical, Pontius Pilate move, the article quotes Cheney as saying,
"There comes a time for everybody when it's time to hang it up and move on," he said, but added, "That's a decision only the Egyptians can make."
Unless you're not paying attention, Mr. Cheney, the people of Egypt have made their decision! Mubarak has thrown everybody in his party under the bus and the people of Egypt are still crying for him to step down. If he does not do so ... and very soon ... he will be responsible for more violence, more bloodshed, more anger in the streets of Cairo and across Egypt. If he truly cared for his nation, he would have established a more powerful government offering greater representation of the people.
History lesson: It was not until 1951 that the United States established the 22 Amendment to the Constitution limiting a president to two full consecutive terms of service (thus a president can be re-elected to service after having been out of office for at least a full term). (Ten years total allowing for a vice president's completion of his predecessor's term as well as two fully elected terms of service.) FDR, whose unprecedented four terms of service triggered the move, wholeheartedly supported the amendment, which passed shortly after his death in '47 but was not fully ratified until three and a half years later.
In the early days of the United States, there was much debate over the establishment of limited terms of service for the president. Prior to the formal establishment of the United States, the colonial presidents established a tradition of two year terms of service. In 1807 Thomas Jefferson offered a warning against unlimited terms,
"If some termination to the services of the chief magistrate be not fixed by the Constitution or supplied in practice, his office, nominally for years, will in fact become for life; and history shows how easily that degenerates into an inheritance."
It took the United States one and a half centuries to learn that lesson. Now the people of Egypt are trying to follow the same path to a more stable, judicious form of government. We sat back and cried but as a nation ignored the cries of the people of Iran when they begged the people of the world for support. Do we now ignore the people of Egypt or do we have the moral strength to stand up for what is right? Can we face Hozni Mubarak as a nation and say, "The people of Egypt have made their voice known"?
No. We cannot. Because, as Cheney so politically pointed out, government, sadly, runs on a different track. We have defended leaders against overthrow and we have aided in the overthrow of leaders (sometimes the very ones we previously defended!) We continue to move in any direction the government politic believes is in the best interests of our nation with little regard as to what is best for that nation in need. Perhaps it's time we stopped worrying so much about what is politically correct and start focusing on what is morally and ethically correct.
If Obama the inexperienced one were to eat a turd , the far left would deplete the world of turds immediately! Cheney doesn't come from SanFrancisco or some other freak world. He has been in politics and seen more than Comrade Barry ever will. He is well grounded and in the MIDDLE echelon of American thinking. If you loonie lefties want to learn something, you'd better listen to someone besides the OJT president and his bag of "Give Away America."
RG6 - Yea Right. Cheney is far right and always has been. By far the majority of the country is independent of alligence to these clowns. Otherwise the same party would win every election.
Next time you feel like calling this clown grounded look up the death toll and injured for life numbers from the IRAQ war. All those lives ruined forever and for what? His grounded middle echelon thinking? I think we know who the loonie is...
Bingo!!! Along with a lot of other Despots, Sadam fit right in! However, I'd take him back in a minute if it were possible to reverse all of the damage that was done taking him out! Ever wonder why we aren't invading all the other countries where despots rule??? (most of which, we helped create)
I am no friend of Cheney and his one daughter is a real piece of work! That said, his statement (for once) was accurate and true. Mubarak needs to go - but in the proceeding years, for better or worse, we couldn't have had a better ally in the Middle East (North Africa). Unfortunately, this relationship cost the Egyptian people dearly. But I still get the stinking suspicion that Cheney emulates and envies this man's dictatorial powers. "All hail Cheney are beloved ruler and CEO of the World"!
Hockeypuck - Um Bush did start the war with 65% of the country completely opposed. Kind of like the Health Care bill with Obama. Difference being it didn't send thousands to their death in like a month. It was a horrible idea and he was to stubborn to bring those kids home once he saw what a mess it was.
Cheney played a huge role in that decision and as a result a lot of his buddies got defense contracts and made billions while the young soldiers died. Sorry but anybody that thinks that was worth it, hell has a special place for you.
Cheney commenting on Mubarak being the best choice for the Leadership of Egypt.
Yes he is, compared to the existant leaders of hatred in the Middle East. Mubarak is about as good as one can find. Perfection is not found in the Middle East.
The Muslim Brotherhood?---That's who will be leading Egypt?. Attempts of Assassination of Sulieman will most likely continue, making way for the undercover meaning of The Muslim Brotherhood to takeover the Government of Egypt.
Kevin...How did you come up with that lie??? There was no 65% against the war...Two months after the war started bush had an 80% favorable rating and every dem in leadership was in favor of the war.....It was only after that that the media and phony dems decided to attack....I repeat, how did you come up with that lie??? That is almost as bad as the theory that Bush only went to war to steal their oil.
J-A_522495 - First of all I didn't claim Dems had no role in this, but the Bush Administration pushed this war and you know it. And yes in the beginning it certainly had some support but there is a reason Bush's popularity plummeted. I'm not a Democrat and I believe they are worse then republicans but I have little sympathy or patience for the bogus argument that the IRAQ War was necessary. You can make a list of right now of brutal dictators in the world that are just as bad. We went to IRAQ because it was a Muslim nation and the simple minded believed in revenge for 911. I like to give people credit for ultimately realizing both parties are crap but anyone who believes a 21 year old poor kid from Alabama needed to to die for that non-sense is satanic. The supporters of that war ultimately have blood on their hands, and don't mince words with supporting the troops being the same, it isn't. Everyone supports those brave kids, its the coward cheerleaders of Idealism that I'm speaking of. If it was so important then they should have joined.
You make a good point. It shows that the country was not in favor of the Iraq war. I remember that the news was not even giving the names of the dead for a long time. This ugly war for oil cost us so much. I hate war, I hate that Obama has not brought our troops home.
Why hasn't Obama closed up this War. More and more troops in Afghanistan, have been killed in this Administration than in the previous one. Almost 11 years of War there.
Bring troops home from Iraq or more importantly, the useless war in Afghanistan? Which one?
I would suppose that if you ask people at any time if they want war or not that most would say that they do not....I do remember much support for our policy at that time and it is misleading to say otherwise....Democrats and Republicans...
However, you chose to lie since the war started in 2003 and you print crap starting in 2006....Nice lie though...you are good at that...
Kevin....In 2003 a Gallup poll, 67% agreed that the president made his case for the war.....Why are people so willing to lie and then to make up crap to support their lie??? I know that you know that is exactly what you did.....and now we all know it...
Jennifer...Re your point that the media was not giving out names of the dead for a long time....Yes, they got more and more organized in their anti war crap and started that....
Guess what?? They are doing it again...a couple weeks ago a local soldier was killed in Afghanistan....nothing said in the national media...no talk about dead soldiers...no names given out...you could almost believe that there are no dead soldiers....you just have to realize the tactics of the media I guess....
Look, I hate war. I think that when you wind up in a war you have failed at all other options. You are a failure, we are a failure as a nation. If someone attacks, as happened in WW2, that is different, you must defend your country. Oil is not worth our young people's lives. I, more than anything, want Obama to get out of Afganistan. We get in bed with @!$%#s and spend the taxpayers money but most of all we kill our young for what? I hate it. I hated Vietnam even though my husband was not a draft dodger. We spend so much time in this country making a buck that we do not have peace only fear and greed and blame. Sorry, but even a Democrat President will not change my view. You know something, once my husband and I were car jacked at gun point. Someone called me and said I picked up your purse, the jackers are joy riding in your vehicle and gave precise directions where they were. I called the police and told them. They said that I was going to get reimbursed from my insurance so let it go and I would have to call a different police station because it was out of their area. I said but these guys had a gun and they could kill someone. They found my car several days later, stripped and totaled. Automobile Club tried to screw us on the pay off and I had to threaten legal action to get low blue book on a new car. I actually saw one the thieves and he saw me at a movie theatre about a couple week after that. I did not even try to call the police when he ran off. People were murdered in a rash of car jackings shortly after that and then the police began to pay more attention to car jackings. My point to all of this is that. We trust that our representative are doing what is right for our citizens but that is not necessarily so. Their motives are not always for the our best interests. I came away with no respect for the police department and the insurance company and feeling that that damn theives were, in a way, more honest because they made no bones about it, they were theives. If I sound a little crazy it is because you have touched a sore point with me.
Osama Bin Laden is either dead or hiding in Pakistan. They are no longer looking in Afghanistan. The Terrorists, if he should be alive will protect him, and so will the Pakistani Government.
The Pakistani Government is a haven for all Terrorists. Why do you think we are having so much angst with Pakistan?
JA - I'm really not sure why you keep calling me a liar, I guess its your way of feeling better about supporting that blood bath in IRAQ.
Nothing changes the fact that Cheney is a greedy pig. He ran his office always thinking of his business buddies first and that goes all the way back to ENRON charging Californians 1500 a month for power and spinning up bogus blackouts whlie Cheney and Bush watched and refused to help the citizens.
Kevin...You gave unjustified opinions while I replied with facts...and you know it. The Iraq war was fought in a manner in which many Iraqis were killed and that is on the head of their dead leader. That is the history of how that area fights wars and that is how they did it. It was up to them and the whole war could have been avoided with a little sense from their part.
Now you are putting up hate Cheney stuff in regards to connections with Enron.... I also remember that the Clinton administration had Enron connections and Enron donated money to a lot of politicians regardless of party. In fact many states governments employees retirement funds and union funds invested in Enron. It was as phony as the Madoff ponzi scheme....but you know that those things are high flyers while they are going on and they get much support from all who think they are making a killing in the stock market....It would have been dificult at that time to argue with the thousands of stock brokers who were pushing that as a great investment.....And again there was no investigation until it was too late. Like Madoff, there was evidence of fraud that should have been investigated but was not....I dont think that was a matter of dem vs repubs, but another example ot the investigators being inept....as they often are...until a lot of people have been ruined. I guess you will continue to believe that only republicans participate in the bad stuff, but I believe that the Enrons and Madoff schemes happen regardless of what party is temporarily in office....
Jennifer....I dont know anyone who likes war..and I certainly dont...I was VN era myself. I dont think the US was justified in that war and that we fought it many yrs after we knew that we were not going to win(the Afghanistan war has many similarities). There is no such thing as an all out win when fighters can infiltrate in from other countries for decades and decades. You have to realize that many countries leaders put little value on how many of their people are killed....That is fact.....I find it strange that many dems try to put blame on Nixon. Nixon did what he had to do to end he war and he ended it. It was not a good ending, but it was the best that we could get and I think everyone really knows that...Bush reduced our role in the Afghanistan war and I believe that the way was made to make their country more responsible for their war and only to give them assistance and also to use the drones to breakup the enemy strongholds....I think Obama realized how wrong he was about the surge in Iraq and mistakenly thought that same thing could be done in Afghanistan...It is a much dif situation. There are many Americans dieing in that war now and we are hearing little about it....
I am not sure why you brought crime into this conversation, but I live in one of the higher crime areas myself. Our governement(state and fed) had better wake up to the crime because it is way out of control and only getting worse. And yes, a lot of crime is driven by the illegals and their family members. There is a mindset amongst many of the illegals that has helped increase the gang participation and that has grown and grown. Most law making bodies are still pretending that it just isnt so and that police depts are to blame for illegally investigating people. That is not to say that we dont produce our own criminals and now those criminals have to compete with the newer hispanic gangs...Most police depts are tired of trying to control those factions and they get nothing but blame from their state governments and the media.
I brought the wars up because I truly am horrified by the loss of our young people by allot of different Administrations who convinced the public that going to war was justified. Not only the loss of life but the loss of health and mental health from what war does to our young and their families. Then, after awhile, we find it was for oil, it was for someone's business friends who paid for their election or some other greedy gain. It rarely turns out to be the lie the public was told.
I brought the crime into it to make a point about what we assume when we trust in our banks, insurance companies, sometimes the police and elected leaders and others that we pay for with our taxes or fees. We do not always get what we pay for. We get crap service and they also buy off the politicians so they can have more profit, tax loopholes and all the while the public gets less service. Your comment about illegals may have merit but I find that legal, organized business is getting away with graft, fraud and abuse and we the public have to pay the tab also.
And these are just 2 peas in a pod. 1 man, the puppet master of Bush who decided we should go to war with Iraq and make up evidence so his companies could prosper and cause hes just a war monger, and another man with $70 billion while 40% of his people live off $2 a day. And when they protest peacfully he sends people on horseback to start riots. Egypt is a mini US military with all the equipment they have, of course Cheney loves this guy. Both rich and care about no one. Halliburtin eh?
If I was Mubarak, I'd be telling Dick head to shut the F up.
And from an American citizen, 'Cheney, how about shooting yourself in the face for a change?'
Jay you described this a**hole perfectly in very few words. I like to call him 5 deferment cheney. Never served a day in the military. In fact did everything he could to not serve. Now that's a true patriot who loves his country. Enrich himself while others serve and fight. There isn't a sorrier excuse for a human being than this creep.
His name DICK suits him, and I'm sure his mother didn't put too much thought in his name after he was born. One look and the name DICK just popped into her head.
What baffles me is the fact that Dick Cheney thinks anybody is interested in his advice. A war criminal who is one of the biggest embarrassments this country has ever had to face along with his partner in crime, George Bush. I just saw something on the news about Bushwhacker thinking the Swiss (I believe it is) basically telling him to get the f out of their country and making it very clear they feel his is a war criminal who should be arrested. And Georgie thought they might be interested in his crappy book.
After what he's done to his people.....Cheney says he's a good friend? His choice in friends is certainly appalling, but not surprising. Dick Cheney is an embarrassment to the United States.
Cheney just your every day war monger. Helping keep America IN harm's way! He IS so yesterday. Why does our media interview such a soul less war criminal?
If anyone running for President credibly promises to officially charge Bush and Cheney with war crimes and treason, I will work day and night to get that person elected.
Cheney should, at best, be spending the rest of his life in prison.
I dislike Bush and Cheney as much as the next person, however, I wish them no ill will. Now, people like Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, etc, I have no problem wishing them ill will.
Apparently you don't dislike Cheney as much as I do....... or you WOULD wish him ill will. I don't want him to have a major heart attack. That would be to quick and too good for him. I want to see him suffer a long and agonizing death. One that will take years to devour him. THAT is the ill will I wish for a man how has murdered so many people in the name of "freedom and democracy" and the true purpose of MORE WEALTH.
cheney is example #1 of why we are no longer a nation of laws. And I use the 'we' figuratively, because I have pretty well divorced the USA as she stands today.
He's a good friend of people like Cheney, who are for secret, corrupt governments. Halliburton probably got a ton of no-bid contracts from Mubarak. They speak a common language - $$$$.
I recon it ALL depends. If the people are better of now in Iran than they were under the Shah, then you can speculate the people of Egypt will be better off under the Muslim Brotherhood with Sharia Law than Mubarak. The women get Bagged, bred and beaten. Gays get hung, raped women get stoned, gotta love it!
Can't we just mail this Cheney to Egypt and let them demonstrate on him for a few hours.
I really hope Cheney is reading the comments on here, but I doubt he ever will. He's working on another way with the other politicians to screw over the American people once again.
I am amazed at how much hate and ugliness is spewing here from people who pretend to be 'good Americans'.
It ain't workin' folks. You complain about ugliness and self-serving attitudes from Cheney but do you not see you reflect the very same mentality yourselves? When you advocate extreme violence against your enemy - in this case Dick Cheney - you are no better than the evil you decry.
wordsmith - So, you claim "I know you are, but what am I?". That's a failed argument. Yes, people can point out the wrongs and failures of others. We ARE doing so, with Cheney. Yes, we are better than the evil Cheney practices.
Hey Mary Reeves, I guess your beloved Bill Clinton is no embarrassment to you at all. You can't get any more disgusting that that guy..I would guess that Dick Cheney has as little bit more info on Egypt than you do.
Those on the left here appear so rabid in their hate that they would welcome another Iranian style government and indeed support any radical murdering change...just out of their radical chronic hatreds....Perhaps that has helped establish the radical killers in Iran and elsewhere....I also can remember from a long time ago our libs sending money to support Castro...near our shores...and of course the murdering "che is a hero". If you nuts like those killers so much, I would certainly support you all going there and support them directly....
The economy of Egypt has steadily improved at the rate of 4-5% per yr for the last 25 yrs and that is amongst the best in the world.....How is that compared to Iran and Cuba??? Have you given any thought to the American citizens who work and live in Egypt. Isnt it odd that the first thing the radicals do is to steal and destroy the artifacts of their history? Go ahead keep hoping for another Iran....
The people who have hatred in their hearts wishing death, and all kinds of disastrous outcomes for Dick Cheney and others are swimming upstream. It has no meaning. Tolerance and letting go would be a good idea.
Show me where I wished any death on anyone. I said in so many words that their remarks, in my opinion, need to be kept to themselves. Palin especially knows little about little, and Cheney only reinforces the absurd people he values and the mistakes this country keeps making. Please read carefully and you will see it has nothing to do with what you assert. You need to let go. And anyone else remarking about Cheney for his remarks needs to look at his distaste for the people of his own country and if he were treated as he treats people, maybe he'd sing a different tune.
I doubt he had anything against Saddam. He just wanted the oil and Halliburton contracts. After all, his and Saddam's methods of information gathering are about the same. Under different circumstances, they could have sat around drinking obscenely expensive booze laughing about the screams of tortured prisoners.
Jim S........ He was a buddy of Saddam's at one time. As usual it was all about money. He arranged arms deals for Saddam then was involved with "daddy" Bush in selling arms to Iran to stab his "buddy" Saddam in the back.
You guy's watch what you say. The difference about making a statement here that Fox is. Fox will wipe you off, here you are shoved as far back as possible. Like 5 or six pages.
It is simply amazing how IGNORANT the comments are on here. Cheney would blow each of you out of the water with his experience and his brilliance. He was an EXCELLENT V.P. I felt 100% more safe with he and Bush in the White House than I do the 2 stupid @!$%#s that are in there now. NOOOO comparison!!
Papa Doc Cheney and his poodle Scooter outed Valeria Plame, an active CIA agent and head of the Iraq WMD Investigation Team, in direct retaliation for her husband outing Cheney's lies about WMDs, proving the 'yellow cake' memo was a Black Ops counterfeit on phonied embassy paper, throwing CIAs entire Iraq Department under his Royal Chariot, then shekenah-ing Saddam for the PNAC, before Americans woke up to who really pulled down the temple walls on 9/11. Saddam? Yeah. Saddam was a CIA asset for Cheney when he was Sec Def. Didn't you ever wonder in all the months of testimony at Saddam's trial, NOT ONCE was there an English subtitle or transcripts of what Saddam was saying about his relationship with Daddy WarBucks back in 1990? I do!
You are a coward if you need to hide behind a ruthless oppressor like Dick. People like you will ruin the country. I'm just glad that our ancestors were not the cowards that you would have wanted them to be. In 1812 when the capital was burned to the ground and England was trying to take back over we kicked buts and dared them to do it again. After 911 people like you want to hind behind a ruthless government that will only tolerate what they deem is acceptable. People like you should be tried for high treason and locked away. Freedom first.
CAn someone explain why this was collapsed? What is so threatening about a free exchange of ideas? Even if some do not agree.
West Coast 56.... Personally I agree with you 100%. Ex VP Cheney was an exceptional representative of America as well as our Allies.
Speaking to Diplomacy he is spot on....Obama and Clinton needs to stop pandering to the press and do their job. They need to step away from the cameras and do what they must to safe guard our Country and our friendships around the world. Those friendships do actually include the average protester in the squares speaking out for Democracy as well as the Pro-Government protesters who wish to keep Egypt from falling into a pit of despair.
txmom........ Yeah. I can tell you why it was collapsed. Because the vast majority of AMERICANS are sick-too-death of all of the corrupt, fascist garbage that the majority of boot licking right-wingers spew online to defend their fossilized ideas of what democracy and freedom are.
The extreme right is a conglomerate, made up of bigots, religious zealots, ignorant parrots and wealthy exploiters of the working AMERICANS and those who fight and die in wars that they create. Good enough for you? Or would you like me to tell you what I REALLY think about the rights ideas of free change?
And guess what? Most of the people on here don't give two cents about you agreeing with another fascist about your murdering old Nazi and his friendship with a dictator.
ForWhatItsWorth....I disagree...I think it is a disgruntled minority that feels they can receive some minimal euphoric sensation, that their voices counts, when they can attempt to eliminate speech they do not agree with. Even if it is on a forum that matters little.
I am neither a Nazi or a Fascist rather a person with an opinion living in a "free" society. Deal with it. I wish the same rights and responsibilities of Democracy for those protesting in Egypt. God bless all people who wish to exercise their peaceful rights to free will.
Yes, 9/11 happened on Bush's/Cheneys watch about 9 months after they were first the Office of the Presidency.
It was ex Pres Clinton who totally ignored the Terrorists warnings, and just went about America's business.
The USS Cole, The Embassy Bombings, the First Bombing of the Twin Tower, and many other Terrorist attacks happened before Bush, but Clinton chose to ignore who was behind the attacks; Osama Bin Laden. He knew where he was; he could have caught him in the palm of his hand, thus avoiding the continual blaming of Bush.
Bush "inherited" the Terrorists from the Left. And, this is the darn truth. Educate yourself, looking up Osama Bin Laden, Terrorist attacks on Americans, and others in the World, while knowing where Bin Laden could have been captured. It wasn't "George Bush's/Cheney's" Fault (this time).
It is amazing how some of the commentors make harsh, untrue statements that have no personal/or informative knowledge behind them.
Our President's must not ignore Foreign Policy or extreme Foreign problems.
I do think President William Jefferson Clinton did an outstanding job of being President. A brilliant Politican, negotiator, and brilliant mind.
If Dick Cheney has his way the people of Egypt will be screwed. Maybe both of them can go to Dubai. Haliberton is there with the tens of billions they stole from the Iraq war. The people of that country are without arms so him and his old company may be safe from the storm that's coming for their kind, for a while anyway. Any friend of Dick Cheney is no friend of the people.
I hope the people of Egypt don't let Mubarak get away with the 40 billion he is reported to have. Probably more and all stolen from the people.
I wouldn't get too caught up in Cairo Fever. 'Defense'(sic) owns US. Congress has given DoD +15% COLA RAISES every single year since the Right Wing Coup in 2000, and they just gave them another COLA for 2011, by stealing the $95B setaside for ObamaCare, so it's a non-starter. Congress also stole $8B from US Education as a COLA for 2011 to Homeland Gestapo, which is spreading like a malignancy Stage V Cancer, 'Report Your Suspicions!™, I suspect we now spend more for Gestapo ($175 million dollars a day) than for all US Education funding!
don,t worry i`m sure the dems will do the right thing and cheney and bush will be brought to trial, they must have started proceedings by now.there surely must be enough evidence judging from the previous posts.
The United States will never prosecute a president or vice president. It would look pretty bad to other countries that We the People elected criminals to lead our country.
The closest we came to holding an elected official accountable for breaking the law was Nixon. We got him out of office and we were looking to prosecute. However, when Ford took office he pardoned Nixon so the people were unable to hold him accountable.
On the other hand, our elected officials were running around with lit torches after Clinton because of a sex issue. Tell me, did his actions put the American people in danger? Did he really break any laws? He was 100% stupid, that's about it. I did find the whole matter funny though. How many of the self-righteous representatives were also screwing around?
So, when we get to Bush and Cheney, who literally murdered citizens of this country, they are untouchable. Because they were spared prosecution, we now have to listen to lies Bush can put in his book and moronic opinions from Cheney on how our President should handle an international issue.
it was not sex, clinton in front of all americans and the rest of the world lied during legal proceedings.only lefties think it was over a blow job, sort of shows the depth of thought.but i don`t like being disliked so here goes hang bush and palin `s an idiot, like me better now.
do you think it is just luck, maybe the dems don,t have any lawyers to do it.no that can`t be right because they are mostly lawyers.must be plenty of evidence ,most people seem quite convinced that they are war criminals.
Cheney's daughter can say in public that she supports gay's right and she is lesbian. Can any Egyptian women say anything like that in public?
His daughter can vote. His daughter has enjoyed First Amendment just like the rest of Americans. None of any Egyptian woman has that right. The Egyptian women can not even have voting right.
How come when the former Bush administration has neglected these issues when he himself at least has that influences?
Now the Egyptian women may have that opportunity to vote for the coming election.
And, the barbaric acts have been televised about the pro-Mubarak groups against pro-democracy groups, and the pro-democracy groups are unarmed, from innocent children, women, and men.
Can anyone from Bush Administration say something on behalf of the pro-democracy group, especially those being killed by camels/horses/guns/clubs/knifes and by hit-and-run act white van from pro-Mubarak groups, to ask Mubarak's restraint?
Pray that those Egyptian children who stood on the tanks and waved their national flags have survived the barbaric attacks.
Condonlesces are sent to those being killed and wounded and their loved ones.
Well, Bush is all about democratizing countries that we don't already have sweet deals with. If the fix is in, let the people rot in their athoritarian prison. Wouldn't want to rock the boat with talk of democracy and human rights, you know.
And thanks to John F. Kennedy, mice on the moon are free to eat all the sweet, sweet green cheese they want! Nobody can take away that Smell of Freedom!
Don't forget the election debacle in Florida. Bush and Chaney very well may not have been democratically elected. There are still some that would argue they stole that election. What would that make Bush and Chaney, dictators?
Leave Dick Cheney alone, he was senile when he took office and he's senile now. Maybe he shout go over to Egypt and blast the "bad guys", whoever he might think they are at the moment, with some bird shot.
Dick Cheney and America's secret ET recovery program go way back. Present day Dick Cheney is what happens when someone meets a rightly pissed off ET that slaps you around. The Howard Hugh's syndrome.
Cheney must be having a momentary flashback. He still thinks that he is talking to that half witted, poorly educated, misbehaving, childlike x-president W. Bush. Relax Cheney and take a chill pill, let a real president handle this. Remember that everything does not revolve around you.
A good man?? What you been smokin', **ick? Mubarek has become a multi-millionaire from US contributions, donations, & subsidies, some of which may have been intended for somewhere besides the Mubarek family bank accounts.
Character endorsements from Cheney are worthless. Cheney belongs in jail himself.
A man of Dick Cheneys'age, with I foot in the grave, still defending tyranny and oppression. Strange the things we do. Mubarak is reported to have 40 billion.
Cheney can rot in hell. Why in the f'ing hell does anyone care what he has to say? No one does but dredging up his carcass MSBNC. I guess until he passes we'll have to keep hearing about his opinion. I'd say I'd rather be shot in the face than hear what he has to say but we all know that's something he can actually do. Greedy, self-serving bastard needs to go away already.
Maybe Cheney can reprise the role of FDR, bringing America out of the Obama-Fed Depression by attacking Iran on behalf of his PNAC and IMF Masters, by calling for a 'pigeon in every pot, and a sheep in every garage' program touting 'Face The Facts, America!', and instituting his new Lend-Lease program, where we lease out our 700 Club Fed overseas military bases to our industrialized allies, as tax havens and cash depots, in return for forgiving America their Mil.Gov's accumulated $14,000,000,000,000 debt. He's got the haircut down. Where's his cigarette holder and wheelchair attendant?
I raise my hat to all the youth in Egypt who died and those who are risking their lives for freedom, for voicing their concerns and who will not take no for an answer. I wish them all the best to go forward and make Egypt a better place.
And to all those who give useless comments I wish they would talk about the positive outcome not just pointing fingers for the sake of useless comments, totally unbilding only provoking.
I just bet Cheney gave Palin the cold shoulder. Two idiots with so many more adoring people who know nothing about leadership. What a show it must of been. Reagan was a jerk & a half & Gingrich is trying to up his career of lies using his bad history with the reagan administration. It's no wonder America is in trouble, just look at Palin & Gingrich, Romney, bachman, real losers trying to convince people they are the answer.
It's not up to us to decide for the people of the world how they will live and who will govern them. You and you fascist buddies need to sit down and shut up. You've ruined enough of the planet with your pompous scheming and manipulation.
they're all IDIOTS and the worst classic example of human rights abusers on this planet.Stupid Chump Cheney,Hu Jinjerk, and Mubarsmuck, all ought to be given that honor. tatooed right across their asses.they're the classic examples of what greed and evil really is.they are horrendous human beings
you yankee man or whatever, yes it is our business, don't going blowing off your big mouth and sticking your foot in it.no we shouldn't be forcing our way of life down peoples throats. we better keep our eyes wide open, because if we don't watch it very carefully they'll be forcing their way of life down our throats.
in fact all you know it all, blabber mouths, human rights abuses are already occurring in this country, because of garbbage examples of evil arrogant men like these.especially with the likes of that evil despicable individuals like Cheney in this country.
They don't call him Dick for nothing.
The fat pig rat likes where he sent people to get tortured for money. Only faux conservatives like Cheney.
I consider Cheney a war criminal.
The shriveled Cheney looks like Emperor Palpatine.
I'm sure the military-industrial complex has him all wired up to live another 30 years so he can lord over the coming global corporate state.
Any friend of the Devil is no friend of mine.
That pretty much sums it up. Mubarak gots to go.
What a joke..
Cheney has the heart of a dictator - could be that's why his is so weak.
@md-414241
Open minds will get one everywhere. Learn up!
Comment # 1 restored for clarity.
If they're such "good friends" why doesn't ole trickier Dick invite his pal Mubarak over for a "hunting trip".
It could end up being a happy accident for the Egyptian people.
Said the PROGRESSIVE who was pointing a finger at Sarah Palin ,for the shootings in arizona ......
* LOL! DICK Cheney praising a dictator?!?!!! I'm shocked! (not).
* Also laughable is the notion that DICK Cheney would have the gaul to give foreign policy or diplomatic advice to anyone!
* The only valid question is: Why hasn't DICK Cheney been arrested yet?
i am a tad confused by lib logic...didn't the the current VP say that he wasn't a dictator
@ R L kraft
If you were referring to me and not just spamming with one liners.
Please repost with where this "finger pointing" took place.
Until then you're just pulling strawman ASSumptions out of your rear-end based upon next to nothing.
Stay Classy Sir.
How "barney Frank" (you should have that homophobia "Looked at")
PROGRESSIVE ,,,,,,and quite boringly predictable
How "Barney Fife" (you should have that capitalization "looked at")
REGRESSIVE...and quite boringly predictable.
Dick Cheney's middle name is Tator. This was his Mom's family surname.
Yes, he did have a Mom. Cheez...
Thank you Mountainmike; " I consider Cheney a war criminal."
Seven words for Dick Cheney & his buddy "W" ;
The Hague
War Crimes
Prison for life
Why is it not surprising Dick would chum up to a dictator like Mubarak.
Palin/Cheney in 2012 !!!! They deserve each other.
Sound like Mubarek is as well liked by his people as you Dick.
Sally, have you no ethics? There are not 10 posts in this forum that are not in violation of your 'code'. Do your job; else open this to anything!
Tom
Most of our comrades are SOROS exempt
Josef Goebbels would be so proud !
Surprised Mubarak hasn't been invited to the White house yet?
Cheney and Mubarak are birds of a feather. Both are lying mother f*ckers that have gotten a lot of people killed.
My sentiments exactly. Besides, there's probably Cheney money wrapped up in Mubarak's corrupt little game. He probably has some businesses running there that are getting special treatment.
Well it's OFFICIAL, the prince of darkness has labeled Hosni Mubarak and his torture specialist Omar (the destroyer) Suleiman, as 'a Good Person'.
Good, Dick can give Mubarak a place to stay as soon as they kick his ass out of Egypt.
your day will come too
Dick is going to let Angry Left move into his place? That's uncharacteristically human of him.
Id rather sleep in a box in an alley before I asked Dick for anything.
Do you know how many "days" I have had....Plenty, It's time for some others to have their day...hopefully it comes before I get too old to enjoy it.
I can just see Cheney and Mubarek at poolside in Dubai at the Halliburton Hilton sipping on cocktails. Dubai has no extradition treaties with other countries.
Dick and the Hoser at the karaoke bar poolside, with Dick singing, "Dubai Dubai Do," and "I Shot the Hunter..."
Dick, We see The Lying A$$ Roadshow continues! We already knew you were in bed with this dictator. Just tell us where the $20 billion you stole from the Pentagon Fund. Stay home and shut the trap!

What's that old saying, with friends like Cheney, who needs enemies? Just ask his hunting partner.
What a joke..
In a typical, Pontius Pilate move, the article quotes Cheney as saying,
Unless you're not paying attention, Mr.
In 1807 Thomas Jefferson offered a warning against unlimited terms,
It took the United States one and a half centuries to learn that lesson.
I think we know who the loonie is...
you must think bush and cheney caused the war,and sadam wasn`t that bad.
Takes one to know one....LOL.
I hope this A$$, NEVER FINDS A HEART!
I removed my name from the donor list, until he DIES. I couldn't imagine ME, extending the life of this TRAITOR!!!
Bingo!!! Along with a lot of other Despots, Sadam fit right in! However, I'd take him back in a minute if it were possible to reverse all of the damage that was done taking him out! Ever wonder why we aren't invading all the other countries where despots rule??? (most of which, we helped create)
Dick is jealous he can't be a dictator like mubarak..may be they can hook up and do some hunting
Sorry but anybody that thinks that was worth it, hell has a special place for you.
to do anything less than that and you will not have a nation in the future. I, for one, expect my government to do EXACTLY that.

Kevin and others:
could you please put the statistics in columns instead of taking up an empty page where comments can be made?
MSNBC: Please note the above suggestion. Thank you.
kevinoffsite
You make a good point. It shows that the country was not in favor of the Iraq war. I remember that the news was not even giving the names of the dead for a long time. This ugly war for oil cost us so much. I hate war, I hate that Obama has not brought our troops home.
Jennifer:
Are we fighting in Afghanistan for OIL?---
Why hasn't Obama closed up this War. More and more troops in Afghanistan, have been killed in this Administration than in the previous one. Almost 11 years of War there.
Bring troops home from Iraq or more importantly, the useless war in Afghanistan? Which one?
supposedly
We are in Afghanistan ,Because that's where Bin Laden is'
Remember that whole "low flying jet thingy?"
Now ,had Clinton ,been as focused on folks trying to blow up the twin towers in 93
As he was on his Pee Pee , we wouldn't be in this mess !
R L Kraft:
February 23, 1993, the Twin Tower was the first attempt to blow up one tower with a truck bombs, by Extreme Terrorists from the ME..
We were in NY near the Tower when it happened.
For Clinton being on his you know what, he did a great job compared to what we have now. Clinton was Brilliant, able to mult-task.
His only blunder was not to get Osama, which he had in the palm of his hand, and Monica in the other.
Clinton will be known as one of the Great Presidents of our time. He is another Great Communicator. He just didn't like War.
No he won't
President pervert is already fading ,very much like the entire 70 year old PROGRESSIVE movement
If he were relevant at all , he would have pulled in some votes
All slick willy is ........is a pathetic reminder of an impeached , horney teen-ager!
R L Kraft:
J.A.
There are no words that can be printed here to describe what a sorry excuse of a human DICK Cheney is.
AMEN.
There truly are no words...Cheney is a worthless sack of &&7%#@#!
And Georgie thought they might be interested in his crappy book.
nw...I think that you are probably one of the biggest embarrassments.....
"n... n... no..no, you are!"
you need to come up with an actual argument. other than just using childrens playground tactics, J.A.
american?? I hope you overcome that stutter before you grow up...Good luck to you.
JA:
another fail by you. Maybe when you hit puberty, you can come back and actually debate a topic.
now turn off your mommy's pc. It's time for your nap, boo boo.
After what he's done to his people.....Cheney says he's a good friend? His choice in friends is certainly appalling, but not surprising. Dick Cheney is an embarrassment to the United States.
Agree.
Hope Cheney has a TV at home to watch news.
I guess it true when they say you can tell a lot about a person by the friends they keep.
Just stay holed up and shut up Dick, you just might find yourself yet to be hunted down like Saddam and held accountable for your crimes.
Now, people like Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, etc, I have no problem wishing them ill will.
all anyone really needs to do it throw a bucket of water on Cheney ... he may not melt, but he will most likely short-curcuit.
Why not just waterboard him?
I wonder if Mubarak and Cheney have ever gone hunting together. Great Oppressors think alike.
Michael2424
Boy Cheney and Palin need to hook up and exchange remarks and leave us alone.
Wow. Just wow.
He is Cheney's kind of guy. Along with Charlie Manson, the unibomber etc. Wonder why Cheney didn't like Saddam?
I doubt he had anything against Saddam. He just wanted the oil and Halliburton contracts. After all, his and Saddam's methods of information gathering are about the same. Under different circumstances, they could have sat around drinking obscenely expensive booze laughing about the screams of tortured prisoners.
Jim S........ He was a buddy of Saddam's at one time. As usual it was all about money. He arranged arms deals for Saddam then was involved with "daddy" Bush in selling arms to Iran to stab his "buddy" Saddam in the back.
With a friend like Cheney, Mubarak's cursed! LOL
Wonder why Cheney didn't like Saddam?
Couldn't stand the competition.
So misinformed re: Saddam Hussein; the other Hitler.
The comments are really from people who do not understand, comprehend Politics, War, and threats to the US or their own lives..
Do you approve of massacres against innocent Iraqi people from Saddam and his sons, Tariq Aziz, and his board of killers?
Reread your remarks, and think about how childish they are. There isn't one intelligent comment.
When one resorts to this kind of response, they have nothing important to say.
You guy's watch what you say. The difference about making a statement here that Fox is. Fox will wipe you off, here you are shoved as far back as possible. Like 5 or six pages.
Thats just Mr.soros 1.8 million at work !
Ignore it !
What else would be on MSNBC but trashy libs??
Your mental health is in serious question!
Wst. I thought MSNBC was big money controlled. Nobody said Cheney was stupid: Morally and spiritually bankrupt is the charge, just like Mubarak.
Wst. Coast 56
You certainly have managed to display your bottomless ignorance.
I do!
Wst Coast56- We're cutting you off, no more of the red kool-aid for you.
Please put down the ladle and step away from the punch bowl.
Cheney is really Darth Vader. Proof: Ever see the two of them together in one place?
How can you feel more safe with Bush and Cheney when 9-11 happened on their watch, or did you forget?
Commenr # 8 restored for clarity.
However, Wst. Coast56, please mind # 1 of the Code of Honor in the future.
Don't call everyone who uses ths site trashy, please. Thanks!
Indycatur:
WstCoast56 are you a don't ask don't tell jerko? Cheney will only blow one thing.
Cheney's interest groups from budget, defense.
That's an understatement; Gitmo would be a good destination to exile both of them!
If that's what cheney says, then you know mubarak is as corrupt as they come.
He is a crook. Must be why Cheney likes him. Cheney and Bush are both lucky they aren't in prison.
do you think it is just luck, maybe the dems don,t have any lawyers to do it.no that can`t be right because they are mostly lawyers.must be plenty of evidence ,most people seem quite convinced that they are war criminals.
Amen: Well put. There is a movement allover the world for economic justice. God help the decent and oppressed people.
Nobody can take away that Smell of Freedom!
bush did pressure egypt on human rights,2005.i watched a documentary on c.b.c. last night.
Not exactly a recommendation.
Okay, here's the deal. Cheney supports democracy in Iraq and Iran, but maybe not so much in Egypt
crudblue: Cheney does not support democracy anywhere.
Does Cheney support democracy in the United States? He supports a corporatocracy.
I heard Mubarak has 70 billion on CNN yesterday. Yes, Cheney been berry, berry good to him. Plagerized from SNL.
40 to 70 Billion would make him the richest man in the world. I doubt he could have stolen over a BILLION out of Egypt.
And to all those who give useless comments I wish they would talk about the positive outcome not just pointing fingers for the sake of useless comments, totally unbilding only provoking.
get off your pulpit or go away.
Cheney's comments can be summed up simply: "We love torturing people. That's how we roll."
LOL
I don't espouse to the leftist way,
and I'm not saying Cpt Kirk is, but when reading his comment
I found it to be a clever comment and very funny imo.
Seriously I don't know, only Dick Cheney himself would know.
The Penguin speaks! Now this is an endorsement. Its Darth Vader saying the Sith is a good friend....
ARE AL OF YOU ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS OF OBAMA
having Chinese Leader in the White House and treating him like a God?
Are the people suffering in China less worthy than Egypt?
Isn't Obama doing exactly what you lefty freakazoids accuse Cheney of?
Mubarak is Mother Theresa next to Hu Jintao.
WHY ARE THERE NO DISCUSSIONS ON HOW OBAMA COMPLETELY
ignored & sabot aged the kids in IRAN a few months ago?
Are they(were they) less worthy than Egyptians?
Sickens me to read the hypocrisy, or the willingness
to lie deceive & insult out intelligence with the above nonsense.
Giving power to the Muslim Brotherhood, is a death sentence
for millions in the region; Will you be happy then, will you accept the blame?
Are you all so giddy over another Jewish cleansing? Nevermind,,

You arrogant blow hard. Has this occurred to you:
IT'S NOT OUR COUNTRY!
It's not up to us to decide for the people of the world how they will live and who will govern them. You and you fascist buddies need to sit down and shut up. You've ruined enough of the planet with your pompous scheming and manipulation.
Dear Irin, Why don't you ask Henry Kissinger, and stop being so silly?
they're all IDIOTS and the worst classic example of human rights abusers on this planet.Stupid Chump Cheney,Hu Jinjerk, and Mubarsmuck, all ought to be given that honor. tatooed right across their asses.they're the classic examples of what greed and evil really is.they are horrendous human beings
