He hasn't delivered much hope, but has delivered lots of Changes to this country... including but not limited to just the economic level of change. Spare Change anyone... Spare Change? That is all I have seen this Administration provide to the people of this country... and the Spare Change doesn't even seem to be in American Coinage....How is that for Change America?! Our Credit Rating has fallen, Our Unemployed Rate have risen.. Now that's Change that I can live without. Don't expect support from this voter Mr Obama, financial or voting wise. People ask me all the time am I a Republican or a Democrat, and I tend to bow out of those conversations, because I am neither, I am an American who votes for who I feel is the best qualified for the position regardless of their Party.
I hope obama and the Kool-Aid gulpers of the left wing party lose alot in the 2012 election! Your buddy obama has lied to the American people. He is a one term president!
Why do they always act like it's the person who raises the most money that has the best shot at getting elected? Isn't this just a slick way of saying the presidency goes to the highest bidder? Why can't someone just win because they have the best ideas, not this false hopey changey crap. Anyone else but Obama, Thanks.
I’m worry about Peggy the Moocher. Filling the tank and paying the mortgage can drive a liberal crazy, especially if she has been waiting for one of them shovel-ready jobs. Should she be put on suicide watch?
I can't blame his ex-supporters/donators one bit. The man has lied about everything except for the "Change" and "Hope" part. Unfortunatly, the "Change" was for the worse and isn't what anyone expected or wanted. The "Hope" is that everyone now has "Hope" he won't get re-elected.
Listen up!!! Hear that?? Hear it?? The chant that is sweeping across America, north to south, east to west......."anyone but obama"......."ANYONE BUT OBAMA"......."ANYONE BUT OBAMA".......
I sent the campaign a $100 today and I pledge a hundred a month until victory over the right wing ideologues that would dash our country back into recession.
Why they are pitching the same bull that brought the economy down in the first place! Obama and the rest of the practical folks in the U.S. without special interests are still trying to pull us out of the mess created by the last republican president and majority republican congress. And talk about chutzpah, they have the nerve to blame the nation's ills on him!
FOUR MORE YEARS plus a majority Democratic House & Senate!!!
2012 is going to be a blowout for the Democrats. And speaking as a Conservative Republican, we DO need Democrats to keep them in check as well. America has seen three years of full blown liberalism and Democrat leadership, and they don't like it.
Over the last 30 years, America was at it's best when Bill Clinton was in office with a GOP led Congress led by Newt in the House. I challenge anyone from either side to beg to differ.
Obama's not that great. So, let's elect Perry to the white house. That way we'll all work for Burger king, McDonalds, Wendy and Taco Bell, with less than minimum wages, no health benefits, no paid vacations, no retirement and no future. But then, Perry will always be there to support us, just like he's supporting Texans with his three-day prayer sessions. "God, please bring rain back to Texas." Instead, God brought wildfires....Not working so well, is it.
That's your right wing replacement for Obama, a religious nut job, who graduated from college on probation due to his poor grades, ape-level IQ and typical evangelical double talk. It's mind-blowing how anyone can support such a double-talking imbecile for any public office. I gues, to the far right, since education has no meaning, they have no problem supporting a dim-wit. Just look at Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman.
Obama is not a model president, but who is? Show me one, just one of our past presidents, since FDR, that qualifies as a model president. But, Obama is still head and shoulders above all the republican buffoons running for president. The republicans need to scrap the current list of candidates and come up with a real statesman if they expect to win over Obama. It's unfortunate, but it's reality.
What the democrats need to do is to put up rival candidates to Obama. Maybe Hilary can be convinced to give it another try. This time she would win hands down. And she has the gonads to stand up to the Tea Party thugs in Congress.
Obama has proven to be one of the worst presidents in history. As far as I am concerned, he has even sunk below Carter. The reason Obama does not stand up to the Republicans more is that he does not have a plan. Obama is great at talking in generalizations and making big speeches, but when it comes to laying out a detailed, executable plan he is completely worthless. Obama talks a big game, but has no idea how to get anything accomplished. His one claim to fame, passing Obamacare, is now seen as one of the worst pieces of legislation ever passed. Even the Democrats that voted for the law admitted that they really had no idea what was in it or how it would be implemented. They literally voted for it just to give Obama the win, without any regard for what the law would do to the economy. It needs a major overhaul and the uncertainties in the law are a large part of the reason that businesses in the US are not investing their huge cash stockpiles in expanding and growing business and the economy. Business is so worried about the real cost of Obamacare that they are stockpiling hundreds of billions, if not trillions of dollars to cover the anticipated costs.
Obama, who ran on a platform of change and a new openness and bipartisanship in Washington has presided over one of the most divisive, secretive administrations in history. Many deals are being made behind closed doors. When the Democrats controlled the House and Senate during the first two years of his administration laws were written by the Democrats behind closed doors with little or no debate and then rammed through the voting process without any opportunity for anyone to question what was being done or why. Even now, Obama is making back room deals and issuing executive orders that circumvent existing federal law, usurping the authority of Congress. Obama has taken entire sections of our constitution as well as federal laws and thrown them out the window because they were inconvenient to him. These include things like the War Powers Act, the separation of powers between congress and the executive branch, States Rights, etc. Obama has failed in upholding his oath of office by failing to uphold the constitution of the US, and has failed to carry out his duties as president to "... take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed."
I can not wait until 2012 (or really January 2013) when we can be rid of this disaster of a president.
“When I was pro-Obama in 2008, I was thinking of him as a leader who could face the challenges that we were tackling,”
What I have never been able to understand is, just what did people base this belief that Barrack Hussein was some sort of leader. What did he ever lead? Who did he ever lead? How did he ever lead?
He never had a real job. He never ran a business or even worked for a business. He was always on the public dole. Community Organizer? What did he do there? What revelations, other than teaching Saul Alinsy's Socialist beliefs, did he ever create?
Even in Congress, all he did was vote "present". What significant legislation did he ever author? His whole career was guided by David Axelrod. His only "accomplishment" was the speech he gave at the Democratic National Convention.
There was obviously another agenda that created the hysteria of the 2008 election.
America has seen three years of full blown liberalism and Democrat leadership, and they don't like it.
No, 10tacle, my friend.
America has seen three years of full blown world wide recession. By the way, this recession was caused by the rampant, unregulated, free for all capitalism, and it started before Obama became the President, but you already forgot about it.
America was at it's best when Bill Clinton was in office with a GOP led Congress...
You are right on that one. Those were 8 years of unprecedented, record U.S. economic growth. But again, this economic boom started before Clinton became President.
It looks to me that you don't want to credit Clinton with the economic expansion ( a GOP led Congress), but you put the blame for the recession squarely on Obama and the Democrats. Again, the world wide recession that started several months before Obama moved into the White House.
IMHO, when a recession (or an economic boom) happens, there is not much a President and Congress can do about it.
IMHO, when a recession (or an economic boom) happens, there is not much a President and Congress can do about it.
HUH?
Are you kidding me? The reason we HAVE recessions is because of the incessant intrusion of government and the Federal Reserve into the free-market. Irrational manipulation of monetary policy, interest rates and inflation are the reason we have busts and booms. The politicalization, taxation and regulation of the private sector is the reason the TRUE free-market hasn't existed for nearly 100 years. The Federal Reserve was created to prevent "panics", recessions/depressions. Instead we have had 17 recession and the Great Depression since its inception. That's an average of one recession every 6 years.
How can the free-market ever be allowed to create the commerce we need when it is constantly struggling against central bank and governemnt intrusion? The last two bubbles (booms), the Dot-Com and Housing, were supported by artificial manipulation of interest rates and the subsequent recessions have been papered over by monetization creating more debt and devaluation of our dollar. Taxation is always blamed for governments failure. It has ranged from unprecedented highs to its current lows, yet during that whole time we have been incessantly creating more and more debt. Revenue is never the problem when you have the biggest economy in the world, SPENDING IS!
The President, Congress and the Federal Reserve can absolutley do something. Get out of the way. Our Federal Constitutional Republic has NO enumerated power that says it is responsible to create commerce. The politicalization of our government in collusion with the incompetent Keynesian monetary policies of our central bank is what has driven our nation to the brink of insolvency.
Elimination of the criminal clandestine Federal Reserve and significantly reducing our governments size will allow free-market forces to create the wealth, prosperity and standard of living we have become accustomed to.
The problem is, everyone wants the benefits of the free-market, but no one is willing to allow it to exist as it should.
when a recession (or an economic boom) happens, there is not much a President and Congress can do about it.
then why dothey keep throwing money down the toilet? That is what the right is trying to say..the private sector is the answer. Bigger government and scams such as Solyndra are the problem!
The reason we have recessions is because of the incessant intrusion of government and the Federal Reserve into the free-market.
markmich,
Is your memory really that short, my friend ? Again, this world wide recession that we are experiencing right now wasn't caused by the government intrusion. Quite the opposite, it was caused by the lack of government regulations.
A good example, Canadian banks, unlike the American, were left practically untouched by the current recession, they didn't need any bailout. The reason ? The Canadian financial institutions were much more regulated than the American.
then why do they keep throwing money down the toilet?
What do you mean, watt75, bailouts ? The bailouts did help to save some U.S. auto companies, and some U.S. financial institutions, but they didn't end the recession. IMHO, the recession will have to run it course, but it doesn't mean the government should just sit back and watch.
Again, this world wide recession that we are experiencing right now wasn't caused by the government intrusion. Quite the opposite, it was caused by the lack of government regulations.
Au contraire, mon ami.
A global recession, or any recession for that matter, is never caused by lack of government regulation. Recessions are the result of imbalances in the monetary and/or fiscal policies of government. This recession, as well as the previous recession of 2001 were caused by artificial manipulations of interest rates and profligate spending. A TRUE free-market will balance itself. When you allow interest rates to be kept artificially low, and then any other malfeasance the government allows, the result is a bubble that at some point must burst.
The Canadian financial institutions were much more regulated than the American.
Canada and The U.S. moved together during the financial meltdown in 2008 with 6.1% unemployment rising to 8% in February of 2009. In the U.S. we incorporated the $timulu$. Unemployment reached over 10% and stayed above 9.5% for nearly 18 months. In Canada unemployment peaked at 8.7% in 2009 and has fallen to 7.4% since. This was due to Canada refusing to follow our ridiculous Keynesian deficit and debt spending mentality. Instead Canada cut corporate tax rates and reduced regulatory cost burdens. Our corporate taxes are nearly 40% including state corporate taxes. Canada's are 16.5% and are to be reduced to 15% next year. Our debt/GDP under Obamanomics is projected to rise from 48% to 81%. Canada's debt will rise only from 23% to 36%. You'll notice Canada adopted an economic principle familiar to us. It's called supply-side economics, it worked again just as it did under Reagan.
It looks to me that you don't want to credit Clinton with the economic expansion ( a GOP led Congress), but you put the blame for the recession squarely on Obama and the Democrats.
You've got the eye of an eagle with laser-like focus, RafW!
Not.
I never said the GOP congress solely was behind the 1990s growth. IF I did, you show me where. I strictly said a BALANCE was in play then. There WAS no balance when the Pelosicrats and Reidocrats had both chambers of Congress with a Democrat liberal in the White House for two years when a failed trillion dollar stimulus bill was rammed through and Obamacare rammed through at midnight on Christmas.
I'm not an economist, but I agree with Rafal that a recession has to run its course. It has been 3 long years, and governments around the world were not able to pull us out of this current recession. And to blame Obama for this global economic downturn that started back in 2008 is just ridiculous.
By the way, remember the 1970s recession ? It started before Carter became the President, but before the end of his term it was over. Did Carter Administration pulled the U.S. out of it ? Of course not, it just ran its course and ended.
markmich, I just did some search on Internet about 2008 economic recession, and yes, buddy, one of the causes was lack of government regulations of the financial sector.
A TRUE free-market will balance itself ? No it won't, you are forgetting about human nature, specially greed. Free market definitely needs government regulations.
"A campaign spokesman said that the number of people who had given more than once to Mr. Obama this year and the number of people who had contributed for the first time were both higher than his total number of donors at the same point in 2007."
That's kind of a silly comparison.
At this time in 2007, few people gave Obama much of a thought - it wasn't until he won the Iowa Caucuses that he started to be taken seriously. Now he's running as the President.
Not long ago it was reported the GOP contenders weren't getting donations because they were waiting for a front runner. No one is contesting the president yet on the Dem side. Maybe people are waiting for that, or just until the campaign gets into full swing. Let's see how the TP Party of HELL NO! consolidates their ill-gotten donations. I heard the Koch Brothers are setting up bogus "real human" companies right now to channel money into the campaign.
Read and watch the CBC speech from this evening, Sunday. Watch it on www.whitehouse.gov 'Speeches and Remarks', see the Blog, Photos & Videos, or whatever you feel like seeing or hearing directly. Don't wait around for someone to tell you about what they didn't see or hear either.
See the real thing for yourself! Tons of events over the last week to look at with your own eyes and ears directly, without middle men like make-up-your-own-facts-Roy-Wilson telling you what to think. For example, see the 'West Wing Week' summary....it can wear you out just thinking about so much activity.
If you're honest, you'll see that all such comments about the President being 'conciliatory' are just phoney baloney spin.
I'm still giving him $10 every month. And I will continue to do so until the election.
Can I afford it? Depends on how you look at it. Its really just giving up going for coffee twice a month or going out for dinner once.
Plus, I am scared to DEATH of the people running against him. And even though the inclination is there to think he has not fought tough enough against the Republicans, part of me thinks it wouldn't have mattered even if he had.
Those of us who voted for him partly did so because he embodied the opposite of 'cowboy fight 'em politics' in the first place. You can't hold it against him for being exactly how he said he was going to be and for acting the way you wanted him to act.
Think about the last Dem in office, President Clinton. He had some good things going with important things being accomplished until he handed over his presidency with his weak personal judgement.
But, before that ever happened, Republicans were so livid that he won, they had already started trying to bring him down…Whitewater, Travelgate, etc. These were things that proved they were going to try and get him no matter what.
And then President Obama gets in there as the next Dem. And it just about kills the Republicans that they can't go after him in the traditional way, because as crazy and/or racist as many of them seem to be, even they can't start an all-out overt personal attack against the first African American president (their birth certificate fight fizzled and that's all they've got in that department anyway).
So, instead, they shift to the way they are doing it now. Never compromising on anything. Ever. Never reaching across party lines, never ever saying one thing positive about him in the press. And so, here we are, three years later, with that unchallenged rage and nastiness built up to a point that even we are doubting him.
And he has been left with his hands tied in the middle of a big mess.
But, I ask you, his 2008 supporters, for one thing: please stop and think. Think about what he is up against and how he is truly making decisions every single day to make your lives better. Not those of big companies or of the super-rich.
Its you. Your lives.
Three years is not enough time to get there. Especially when he started in the middle of a sliding avalanche. And when he is up against that angry, powerful group of people with tons of money who hate losing so bad that they show actual rage and physical violence towards those who beat them at anything.
All you have to look to is the reactions they showed after losing the big Healthcare Initiative. Yes, it may have been just their supporters who took part in that abhorrent violent behavior, but the representatives did NOT denounce it afterwards. And some of them could have even incited it with their word choices.
He has tried to work with them. Almost the entire time and from the very beginning. And I, for one, refuse to hold that against him. I absolutely shudder to think of what things would be like if any of the people running against him win.
What exactly do you think will happen to the economy then?
Please think.
I trust him.
His head and his heart are in the right place.
He now knows they ways of Washington.
Let's not squander the opportunity to make things better.
Give the guy a break! As a $25 donor every few weeks, I still have skin in the game. Could lose my job by December, but I wil blame the Shrub (Bush II) for this mess, not the Big O!
I will be giving my monthly contribution to President obama's re-election campaign, $10 and more until I reach the limit allowed. The GOP haters are jealous of the love and support we Democrats show our president.
Why should we be limited when the "human" corporations can give unlimited amounts? When they can set up bogus corporations to give millions once and then fold?
I find it amazing how you call the Tea Party the party of no; why? Because they have seen for the last ten years this government has spent money like it grew on trees, the first two years of this so called African American presidents (I am 1/16 native American, you do not find me calling myself a Native American, do not look at the news, look up independent neutral sources and you will see he has the same amount of African American in him that I do Native American in me), he was a opportunistic liar how used race as a means to office, and then spends millions having his records sealed (if one has nothing to hide then they should openly open their records, as a president it is his duty, we have the right to know who is leading us). He has bankrupted this country, turned on our friends, bowed to Muslim Kings, and would not even invite the Israel Prime minister to the white house, but he blew a huge chunk of our money wining terrorist (PLO) in our White House.
He is a travesty to our country, he has stomped worse then Bush has on our rights (I never thought that was possible), he not the tea party during his first two years did not even ask for bi-partisanship unless it was to 100% agree with his policy, and then his lackeys passed whatever he asked (thank goodness most of them are gone, and hopefully the majority will follow. They did not rule this country, they tried to destroy it. And you want to hold them up as patriots, they are traitors that have set back racial progress by 40 years by labeling anyone that did not agree with them that they were only standing this ground for racial reasons, they lied (a congressman claimed he was spat on during obama care and called racial slurs), could one person please give me a link that positively shows this evidence, just another lie.
You yell that Bush should be tried, in the end this president will go down making Carter look like he was great. You white people voted to show you were not racist, the rest believed his lies. I just pray that we do not fall for this trap again, I do not like Palin, but she would do a better job them him and that is a horrible statement!
Better socialist then corporate fascist government. That is exactly what you will get by privatizing governmental departments the TP wants to do, or by eliminating many of them that regulate consumer fairness and the enviroment.
I think that it is great that Obama has so many individuals supporting his re-election. No doubt his campaign style and techniques have changed national campaigns forever.
That said, I don't think he has a chance of winning re-election unless something dramatic happens, or whoever is the eventual Republican nominee makes a major mis-step.
On that note, if Romney ends up being the nominee, or one of the ding dongs, I have to wonder if Dr Paul or Mr Cain would run outside of the establishment.
This current climate could be perfect for a true 3rd party to not only capture the presidency, but also turn DC on its ear. Hell, 48 Tea Party candidates have all but brought DC to a halt in 8 short months.... and that is anything but anti-American.
I'm glad people are finally seeing that President Obama is just another "politics as usual" politician. The hope and change thing was just a very clever marketing message delivered at the right time. All smoke and mirrors though. Not that I have any illusions about the GOP nominees, but I just want President Obama stopped. His policies have failed, and he has even disappointed the hopes of his own party base. That's just sad.
For all the libs that are desperately clinging to a sinking raft because its the only option you have, take a moment for some introspection. He has failed you too! Why stand by that?
he's too conciliatory to GOP...2- Sat Sep 24, 2011 10:13 PM EDT
Seeam60,
I am afraid you are correct.
Obama is too conciliatory to the GOP.
In 2008, he entered the presidency with great ideas for the American populace.
In spite of the GOP's obstinance, the American people need to see a firm stand taken by Obama - so that his initial dreams for this country can come to fruition.
Senator Barack Obama Explaining his 2006 Vote Against Raising the Debt Limit
From Sen. Obama's Floor Speech, March 20, 2006:
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that "the buck stops here." Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."
Those last 3 words have never been so true.
One and done -- the Obama experiment has been a failure.
He does not deserve our support no longer 3 years he has almost ruined America. 5 more years his job will be done. Imagine the economy the same then as now,No Jobs,No Credit, No Homes. Time is here to wake up. No Hope No Change He lied as has the previous administration they seem to be working on destroying America. If I did not Know better I think Obama is part of this New World Order you are always hearing about. Unions ,Financed by Billionaires Like Gates, Buffet and Soros Assisted by Banks and Wall Street.Taking control and reducing our freedoms a little at a time.
“Unfortunately, I’m not going to be able to contribute anything,” said Judyann Allen, a retiree in Covington, Wash., who added that she and her husband were living month to month. “I would if I could. But I can’t afford to give anything to anyone.”
Obama's campaign contributions are down for the same reason that charitable contributions and church offerings are down. The economy.
here is how the history books would look if Obama were to write them.
1492 Obama finds America, 1776 Obama win the war all by himself, 1812 Obama tells the English to go home. 1917 Obama wins WWI. 1945 Obama win the war and bows to the leaders of the Axis powers, 1953 Obama stops the North Koreans at the 38th p. April 30 1975 Bush loses the war in Vietnam. I think you get the point.
I didn't vote for Obama the first time but he is so much like Bush hell he's better at being Bush than Bush so yeah I'll send him ten and mabe vote for him too. Just keep being Bush~!
“When I was pro-Obama in 2008, I was thinking of him as a leader who could face the challenges that we were tackling,”
What I have never been able to understand is, just what did people base this belief that Barrack Hussein was some sort of leader on.
We all know the 2008 election was more a referendum rejecting Bush rather than approving Barrack Hussein. Caught up in the anti-Bush, tired of the wars and economy falling the Liberal media capitalized on their Pulitzer moment. Either the first woman president or the first black president. It was a win-win for them. There was no vetting of Barrack Hussein, no difficult questions, no evaluation of his past associations. No one ever questioned him on how he was going to accomplish all his campaign promises, they just let him make them.
And here we are today. Our economy is much worse, class-warfare has been taken to extreme levels, racism is exploited as a reason for every failure and if that didn't work, the "Blame Bush" card was played with a vengeance. Recently a non-political movement has become influential in the political circus and they have now become the new enemy of Liberal Progressivism. A group of concerned citizens who realize how blatantly our government has been allowed to run rampant for decades finally steps up and complains, and because of that they are demonized.
The real Americans who still believe that we are the "Shining City on the Hill" and that American exceptionalism is something to be proud of, have been awoken. This blatant and convoluted belief in a "fundamental transformation" is being denounced. America doesn't need to transform, it needs to transcend. We have always been the beacon of Life, Liberty and Freedom.
TBenton and the rest of the deniers: Just "google" "black congressman gets spit on". There are 237,000 results which include actual video (yes you can eyewitness it) as well as news articles on this event which occurred on March 20, 2010.
Some idiot actually posted that there is a reward for anyone who could prove that this actually happened. How and where do I collect my money?
Nadine Kurland, 62, of Falling Waters, W.Va., made over a dozen contributions to Mr. Obama during the 2008 election and also made phone calls on his behalf. But when an e-mail arrived recently inviting her to an Obama-themed get-together, she ignored it.
Nadine didn't care for the all you can eat sow belly and greens buffet.
Obama became wealthy because the books he had written suddenly moved to best-seller lists when was running for President. Only then were the Obamas able to pay off college debt. And for the good of the country - a show of patriotism - he is willing to pay higher taxes which has not been the case for the barons of Wall St. whose greedy goals are the accumulation of personal wealth.
Justified Defiance -
Obama's objection to the debt ceiling was justified because he did not want all the debt of the wars going on a credit card. Bush pushed all of that under the rug - and now we know the country is between a rock and a hard place. A GOP President will not be able to change things around any more quickly. It takes years to build small businesses to employ the numbers now unemployed. Rick Perry had a bonus of $3 BILLION poured into TX for the past 5 years by the federal government or that state would not have done very well. However, the military built 200 buildings at 2 locations to provide for closing other bases around the country. Govt. spending helped keep the economy going there - and Perry sure isn't calling it socialism.
Obama got his support from the young people in this country by fooling them into thinking he was going to be different. Now that we see he is no different from the previous presidents including republicans like bush there's not much reason to support him. Americans wanted a president that would end the illegal wars and obey international laws. We wanted a president that cared about Americans. What we got was a president that cared about multi-national corporations and American Imperialism.
We are tired of the military industrial complex and it's internal counter part the prison industrial complex. The world is awakening to find that the masses have been reduced to absolute despotism under corporate control. The masses are finding out about how petroleum was protected from competition as the worlds source of heterocyclics and that the war on drugs is a war on the masses and its right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The outlawing of cannabis took away the natural source of heterocyclics from the people and force us into a dependency on foreign oil brought to us by the multi-national corporations. They pollute the planet and cause global warming rather than allow the masses to produce their needs with a sustainable and carbon neutral source. That would have been change.
The type of change the young people were expecting. Reasonable, responsible compassionate change just like the young people causing the Arab Spring. There is another way other than totalitarian capitalism and authoritarian fascism under corporate domination. There is no need for American Imperialism.
Obama wasn't the solution and neither is the GOP or the ball sucker party.
Rednawt, you want to live in a socialist regime, go right ahead. There are quite a few in Europe where the tax rate is 65% and would be glad to take your money.
I thought you tp'ers say we are THE highest taxed nation on earth.
You voted him in and we are stuck with him Stop giving 600 Million dollars to the Palestinians. Stop all foreign aide. All I for the next 16 months. So tighten your belt and send in letters, lots of letters and emails to your senators and representatives to get things going again. get back is a form letter. Use that money to create jobs here in the U.S. stop foreign remittances to Mexico and other foreign countries. The people earned the money in the U.S. the money stays in the U.S. Moth ball 7 of the 13 U.S. Air craft carriers. Get the troops out of nato, iraq and Afghanistan now. Let those countries fight their own battles. Make the southern border smuggler proof and get those drug ankle bracelets and put them on everyone who tests positive for any drug.
I have to agree in all but that last statement. Let's give those drug offenders some help getting off their junk. Even legalize some of it and make it controlled substance, tax it to pay for the help to get them off. You know, sort of how they do it for cigarettes. I know you meant illegal drugs, but that is not what you wrote. Who should decide who gets tested and who doesn't? Should everyone get tested? Maybe a privatized company, one that runs the ankle braclet program and all the prisons. That alone should back up my statement.
This idiot of a president knows nothing, does nothing and plans nothing. All these suggestions are doable right now and will provide immediate help for the U.S. and cost us nothing! Why do we have or need 13 air craft carriers?
Ask Bush and Ms. Rice about the carriers. Again, I agree, but are you laying this at President Obama's feet too?
Just for the record, I have no idea why they collapsed your post. There was nothing demeaning or all that argumentative in it. Stop collapsing peoples posts that are not violating the vines rules people, everyone has a right to have their comments read.
What I have never been able to understand is, just what did people base this belief that Barrack Hussein was some sort of leader on. What did he ever lead? Who did he ever lead? How did he ever lead?
And your purpose for using his given name, Hussein? Do you realize what a jerk you look like doing that? The "fear" factor?
If you recall, our choice at the general election was a stiff wide-eyed red-faced pissed off McCain and his side-kick Palin or Obama and Biden. So I guess you would have been good with Palin as President? Even with all that you know now? Wow.
Obama was a motivator (a leader). He managed one of the best campaigns in history (a leader). He's a quick study (leader). He brings in the experts, listens, then makes his own decision based on the combined knowledge (a clear leader). And how does McCain look in these areas? He chose Palin. Oh.
Would McCain have signed a stimulus bill? No. Would he have negotiated the bailout repay? Not likely. How about the auto industry? Probably gone by now. Our general economy? Could be trashed by now. The war? Who knows. How about debt? Arguably higher... nobody can stop the "Bush Debt Train".
About the only possible "benefit" we might have had is that the right wing 24/7 propaganda machine that has ruined consumer confidence for the last three years would not have been in high gear... if you call that a "positive". I call it pathetic.
But that's in the past. Most of us aren't stuck in the past, we're trying to look forward. And personally, it's bad enough that Boehner has to hold us hostage and nearly take this country down at the beckoning of the Tea Party... I seriously do NOT want anyone with that affiliation in the White House.
Obama seeming too conciliatory will seem minor to the hard-as$ lines that would be taken by a Republican/TP president. So, again... Obama will be elected because the alternative makes us throw up.
If you read 10 pages a day of the Jobs Act, like me you can read the whole thing in 16 days. I'm progressive and independent, by the way.
Did you know if the Jobs Act passes as written States give up Constitutional rights? This sounds suspiciously like the Health Care bill to me. And I believe I am better off keeping my State's rights, not giving them up in any way to the Federal Government.
President Obama reportedly raised a billion campaign dollars in 2008. That will pale to what he stands to gain under this Jobs Act. Approximately $15 billion is earmarked for "jobs" in certain industries tied ostensibly to housing construction, all spin-offs to Acorn. I reject President Obama tricking the American public into supporting tax funds draining into his reelection coffers.
I'm union myself, but reject crooked politics.
I hope all of Congress reads the entire American Jobs Act before signing it. We cannot afford, this time, to make it law and then find out what's in it after the fact.

why, oh why does none of this surprise me the least little bit...obama is all about gaining money and power at someone else's expense--and I too resent that expense being sent down to me...I in no way wish to contribute not one dime to obama.....we can hope and send our members of congress the message to block this disastrous bill also....repubs don't fail me now..
I guess you two have no idea that the first stimulus missed most of the targets because the states diverted the money as they saw fit, right? I'll tell you what... after all the sh!t Obama and Biden got about how the first stimulus was spent... on what and when (it took forever), I do not blame them at all for taking more control over this spending. It's not necessarily to make sure it gets to their "cronies", but more to keep it from the states' cronies.
With people like you demanding states' rights without addressing the home state corruption (even worse than Feds in many states... ever done business in New Orleans?, Alabama?, Texas?... bring plenty of cash... large bills), we are demonizing the wrong end of the deal.
The Obama campaign collected more than $ 86million in the quarter ended June 30.
The campaign now has 552,462 individual donors, with the average donation $69 dollars.
"We did this from the bottom up," Jim Messina said. "We didn't accept one single dollar from Washington lobbyists or special interest PACs. A commitment no other presidential campaign has made. He proved once again he will be very difficult for Republicans to beat. They also shattered records for incumbent fundraising at this stage in a campaign.
As expected, the fundraising totals outpace Republicans, who have collectively raised about $35 million so far, although some candidates have yet to release their results. These are the FACTS! 552,462 individual donors Hmmm.
Hmmm, I guess it's all about who you think ship's sinking. Ricks Perry's? Republicans? Throw out the life line Bring in Chris Christy? All in the way you look at it. If you are hollering for a life line could it be your ship is sinking?
Sarah, Nice speech, now why don't you produce. I hear of these thousands of sites but have never been able to find them and no one can point them out. So show me with concrete proof and I am man enough that I will recant my statement.
I don't think Sarah can. She just wants us to think she can so that she can continue to try to use the race card.
I wonder if she realizes that someone would have come up with any evidence that actually existed to be able to claim the reward - even if they had to fabricate it.
You didn't ask me. I am still a supporter of President Obama. But I'm broke. I don't blame him for the economy. I blame the GOP.
I wonder how many donors like me are having a hard time contributing a dime. It's not disillusionment, it's about the math, the economy.
I get so tired of the whining about how they just don't feel happy with the economy or any number of issues, that the GOP has been working very hard to say NO to.
Wake up America. It's not our President who doesn't want to move forward, it's the GOP and T-Party GOP who want to take us back 30 years or more. The economy is not going to change unless we pass President Obama's Jobs Bill. Something has to give or none of us will see a better economy.
Again, how many people like me would like to give full-boat to President Obama's campaign but just can't.
Articles like this one cherry pick. Everyone I know in my circle is still behind this man. We didn't expect he could do it all, and if I recall he said himself before and after his inauguration that change doesn't come easy. Once he got into office and saw just how bad things were, [no surprise to me after what The Bush Administration did to our economy], it's no wonder this has been difficult. The GOP needs to stop trying to keep this President from a second term, and spend time at their desks doing what they were hired to do.
EVERYONE you know? You need to get out more. His jobs bill is a lame joke as is the respect we as a "SuperPower" have in the world arena. You speak of cherry picking, examine his record in Illinois as well as in the present. If it is not beneficial to his political future and his speech writers can not arrive at a unanimous end product, it is a dead dog.
You and every one of the beguiled, should have expected him to "do it all." He was supposed to have the wheel of this ship, he did not do it, he can not do it.
The GOP needs to stop trying to keep this President from a second term, and spend time at their desks doing what they were hired to do.
I love this... LOL!! Does a picture even exist with the President even in the oval office, let alone at his desk?
Poor wittle Democrats.. Must be terrible to be sitting at their desks with their hands tied behind their backs, duct tape over their mouths and blinders over their eyes for the last 4 years.. I'll bet that's why they haven't produced a budget, as well!!!
IMO, it is plain partisan foolishness not to realize that it is all political parties, in DC, that got us into this mess and don't know how to get us out...
The tea party is supposedly crazy and are a minority in the political system. If Obama was a true leader, you would think he could easily overcome this challenge.
Does your circle ever believe that ANYTHING is Obama's fault? How about Obama's stimulus that was a miserable failure? Or the loan to the bankrupt solar cell company? I suppose if Obama manages to get reelected, you'll still be blaming Bush for Obama's failures in year 8.
Well I have to say first I agree with parts of of your post, while other parts are in fact mathematics something that so far just doesn't seem to be Mr. Obama's strongest suits. But none the less, I will move to the part of where I agree with you. I agree the GOP (Republican Party) is and has been in the way of Democratic National Party's in many ways. However the same is always said when the GOP is in office and its a Democratic National Party Held Congress. So the sob story of its the GOP's fault that Obama cant fulfill his promises, is sorta a lame duck excuse, even from a non aligned voter. But there does need to be a level of compromise within the government, regardless if we agree or not, sometimes we have to agree to disagree but things still need to get done in order to keep this country or any other country for that matter solvent. Our economy is loosing worth because our jobs are being outsourced, because companies here are getting tax deferments for hiring people from other countries to do our jobs. I have seen whole departments of companies be dissolved in a matter of weeks not months after a company went to outsourcing. But that wasn't an Obama thing, that began in the Clinton Era....Democratic National Party if I am not mistaken. Clinton ran this country like a business, something that Obama himself hasn't even done. Which is why several of the Democratic Congress and Senate have leaned away from the Administration. Obama has lost a lot confidence in not only the public, but also within his own party. But yet he refuses to see it that way; the definition of insanity is doing things the same way over and over and expecting a different result each time.
The GOP only gained control of the house less then a year ago and they are to blame for everything that has happened? I don't quite understand that. The Senate and the House have been under Democrat majority since 2007 with the President coming along in 2008. So to my math that is about little more than 3 years of 2/3 majoirty with little more than 2 years of complete majority. That would have to make what has beened these past few years on their watch. So how is it the republicans fault again when they are constantly told that whatever bill they pass will get shut down at either the Senate or by the president? I voted democrat the past 2 elections and even I'm saying Obama has to go. I got caught up in "Hope and Change", which now I somehow managed to keep my change and creating my own hope.
Articles like this one cherry pick. Everyone I know in my circle is still behind this man. We didn't expect he could do it all, and if I recall he said himself before and after his inauguration that change doesn't come easy. This is the best thing I have heard from his supporters....
Funny how you were not complaining 6 years ago when Pelosi and Reid were doing the very same thing. It amazes me how everyone forgets the overwhelming support Bush had from a Democratic Congress after 9/11, then immediatly switched sides when their hug the world constituates disagreed.
Blow your wind else where will ya? I have had my full in the last four years.
Hey DKS - how many more worthless bills have to get passed and how many more BILLIONS does he have to spend before you realize that he does not know what he is doing? It has nothing to do with the GOP or the TEA party. It has to do with you voted for someone that had NO experience because you believed the BS that came out of his mouth.
Funny how I was employed during the Bush Administration and now I'm not. What happened to the first jobs/stimulus money? Where are all the "shovel ready" jobs?
Sorry but the only "Change" I have seen is for the worse. After 3 years there has been nothing but REGRESSION not PROGRESSION.
The jokes on the T-baggers who actually believe the gibberish they have been fed. Sometimes you get what you ask for. In their case, the epic failure. The economy will not be cured until REAL free markets are established and money stops flowing upwards. Obama's failure is that he didn't demonize Wall Street when he had the chance.
DKS-4173469 "You didn't ask me. I am still a supporter of President Obama. But I'm broke. I don't blame him for the economy. I blame the GOP."
So the Democrats controlled Congress for the previous 4 years, including a 'Super-Majority of Congress' and the Presidency for almost the last 3 years, and somehow it's the Republican's fault??????????????????????
I guess that old saying "You can fool SOME of the people ALL of the time" has a factual basis.
NVArt, where are the jobs bills, or even ideas the TP and repubs ran on in 2010? Where is the replace part of the failed repeal of the AHR bill? How many filibusters were there in the senate since 2008? How many from 2001 to 2008? How many dems said they were going to make Bush a one term president over the needs of the country? It is a given the party out of the white house would have that as a goal, but the #1 goal? Over the American people? There is a thought in my mind that says it would be interesting to see the whole government go GOP, but the problem with that is the whole nation would be a 4th world power, to hell with a 3rd world power. I still hear you wingnuts blame Clinton while ignoring the fact Bush was ever a president!
it is amazing how fast whole threads are being collapsed. DKS was expressing his opinion. Opinions don't matter to the right unless they match 100% to theirs.
Obama started off a failure, remains a failure, and will leave a failure -- Even his own party will no longer support him or his failed policies... One and Done.
rednawt - I didn't say anything about Bush, nor did I say I was from the right or the left. All I said is that the first jobs bill/stimulus money didn't do anything so why would this one? It is funny how when the Dems control everything they still blame the right for not getting anything done. Yes the Republicans took over the house a LITTLE while back but where is all the change for the good from before that when the Dems had control?
Do you really expect any republican-sponsored bill to get past Reid's desk? How many budget bills are sitting on it? I do know that the House has passed some, but Reid won't even allow any of then to come to the floor of the Senate for debate. Compromise cannot happen until the Senate debate takes place.
Perhaps you should study up on how a bill passes Congress.
I'm sure all those disillusioned democratic voters will be much happier with whatever flunky the 'other' people vote for. After all, if they don't vote, then it can't be their fault right? I suggest all the Obama flunkies here immediately email the government in Greece and request dual citizenship. You'll need it to get your money that you feel you deserve because you know, you're a deserving hominid biped.
Joe---just read your other comments, and it doesn't sound as if you are a Democrat. In fact, you claimed that "the Democrats" had everyone else's money. This would suggest that you are not one, wouldn't it?
In any case, there's a spell check feature that might have helped you make your post sound the slightest bit less illiterate--though "waisting" rather than "wasting" might still have slipped through, and it wouldn't have helped your punctuation, either.
Joe - This republican will never vote for this bunch of crazed, ignorant, bigoted lunatics that have hijacked the Republican party. At least Obama is not mired in a mindset that puts ideology ahead of country.
vs - that's a good one. I about the environmental ideology that drives this administration to dump our money into loser green job companies like Solyndra.
Yeah. Like "loser" light bulbs that use less energy and are cost effective in the long run. How about fuel efficient cars, or recycling waste, etc. Calling things "green" and demonizing them is somehow demostrating your "intelligence"? So much for logic. I would engage you in a discussion about Solyndra but I cannot debate an idealogue, as your idealogy trumps your capacity to reason.
Let me get this straight, the cfl light bulbs save what? electricity yes, I will agree especially since they burn out in about 3 months or less. They have never made one that will outlast a conventional bulb. Fuel Efficient cars, sure and where are they all made, certainly not in the USA. I have been composting, recycling waste, for years. but I have tried recycling Obubbas words and they don't even make good manure. Hope and Change, my butt.
That may very well be. Although, I believe that needing and wanting are to very different things. And whilst I have a child to think of first, that will have to wait til I am sure it is affordable like a responsible person. Not gonna refinance my house for it..
JS in SD, #5.12 I wouldn't say that he's a disaster President or the worst ever. Far from it. I would say that I think he has made mistakes but there is much truth in "learning from your mistakes". Dogs learn from success, it's the basis of dog-training. Human Beings learn from Mistakes. As long as they're willing and able to recognize them, acknowledge them and make needed corrections. Edison learned 42 ways how "to not make a light bulb." Republicans are showing more than 42 ways "how not to allow Revenue to aid in fixing the Economy." No willingness to even consider that they might be making mistakes, and, as a matter of fact, with a complete "willfullness" of disregard for The American People and "their" wellbeing and welfare through "their" Economy; not Big Oil's, Big Business's or Corporations Economy over The American People.(Nobody can compromise with that) Our President can't compromise to our detriment.(bottom line) That was a beautiful quote in your post about one the President's duties.....to"take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed"
bob-2031077, #5.13- EXCELLENT point. Do either of you know if there is a specific "oath" that each Congress person takes to be sworn in by?
for the first time in my life and I'm older, I've contributed to a political campaign and it was to fight against liberals specifically obama--so if I contribute anything again it will not be to a democrat.....I will contribute to causes that oppose obama...
as far as obama's small donors slow to return, why would they return at all ?--obama has plenty of money, he campaigns on the taxpayers dime buying million dollar buses to do so, he gives parties where one has to contribute $25,000 to get an invite, he has jimmy hoffa to squeeze it outta those union chumps and he has GE and Buffett to give him lots of cash in return for a favored tax status..why would he care about the small fry giving a paltry $10 ?..answer: he doesn't...
MysteryRhee and katlin I can see both your points and frustration with each side. These two agendas get in the way of any real change. They are both set in the past and keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Both sides claim they want to help create jobs but they both want it to be on their agendas, either rate subsidies for the well oiled corporations or government provided bank rolls for their voting constituencies.
Either through negative taking (raising tax rate) or positive encouragement (tax deduction or credit) we need to increase jobs. All the pundits tell us there is all this money on the sidelines with no one willing to invest it in new ventures or expansion because of uncertain future regulations or taxes, then we need to either lessen the uncertainty or force by other means the sideline cash back to the economy. The government can't create long term jobs so we want to target investment by the sidelined cash to the private sector. Is a good start to keep the tax incentives on employers to hire the unemployed but what about tax benefits for investing in American companies that produce here, hire here and pay taxes here. Someone could figure out a way for this to be done without all the political strings usually involved.
JS in SD - Most divisive President? When you have "elder" statesmen from the Tepub party openly declaring that the sole purpose of their efforts is to see Obama out of office, and then proceed to obstruct him at every opportunity your criticism of Obama rings hollow. The bigots of the Tpublican party have demostrated their disgusting lack of character and ethics at every opportunity, taking marching orders from hatefilled, bigoted blowhards like Limbaugh and Beck. Arguments about the "lack of openness from Obama" from Tbaggers would be laughable, if it weren't vile. As far as the Dems having issues with Obama's health care plan, their argument was that he did not do more. Doing more of what they would have liked to see is hardly what the Tpublicans agreed with, so pretending to find "common ground" with disillusioned dems is ludicrous. However, since Tpublicans operate in the surreal world of Faux news, reality and facts are hardly a deterant to their fevered imagination.
When you have "elder" statesmen from the Tepub party openly declaring that the sole purpose of their efforts is to see Obama out of office, and then proceed to obstruct him at every opportunity your criticism of Obama rings hollow.
it happens to be a noble cause that I agree with wholeheartedly...putting the brakes on the obummer regime is the main reason I voted for repub's in 2010...so in that respect the repubs have upheld their promise..
Katlin- At least you don't pretend to be bipartisan. "Noble" causes based upon a rejection the right of anyone else to have a different opinion were expressed by regimes in the past. They were confident that they were right because they believed that they were "inherently" superior. This country is not entirely composed of bigots that march to the tune of one drum, and it will be evident in the next election.
I happen to be an independent who has voted repub since the dem party was taken over by socialists/communists....when they become true dems again I'll consider a vote for them..until then I have only 2 choices repubs/libertarians
Katlin - I happen to be a independent who has voted Dem ever since the Rep party was hijacked by religious zealots, and fascist ideologues who pretend to be for the "constitution" when they are trampling it with every act. Until the repubs rid themselves of these thugs, I have only one choice, the Dems. Code words like socialist and communist are used by Oligarchs to manipulate the weakminded by preying on their prejudices. Most Tbaggers woudn't know what socialism is but the slogan works when it is used as an excuse to exercise xenophobia and bigotry and associate it with those who look different and have different beliefs. By the way, there is no Libertarian party. That is an excuse used by people who pretend to be something other than repubs, to make themselves feel superior.
indytx, #5.21- Thanks for the reply. I've spent most of today participating in my "local" happenings and goings-on and am in just now checking in with things, like this post, from last night....a.k.a.....I'm too tired out right now but I do want to respond to you and will try to do it tomorrow (Mon) afternoon and hope you will check back.
Thank you, again. Looking forward. I've written it down. "M"
indytx, #5.21- It's still technically afternoon, 4.32PM as I'm beginning this (present tense);not that I'm anymore revived from last night, so who knows how long it will take me to finish. I hear you telling me "that my "Agenda" is set in the past and keeps making the same mistakes over and over." That's almost a direct quote from your above post # 5.21 and I'm a little taken aback by that, not because I'm unhappy about you saying it, but because I don't understand where you're drawing that impression from so I don't know what you mean by saying it, without any examples given to me, by you. I'm positive that I'm meaning to and "am" talking about the situation as I see it right here and "now', happening, with my only reference to the past being with intention to point out "what must STOP". The good news is: that after I go on to read further into your post, I find that you and I actually come very close to total agreement in what you're saying about some specifics to "Solution", in this present time. But, first, just because I brought it up to you, I will give you a quick example of an "Agenda" being set in the past and making the same mistakes over and over again while purporting to be of determinent relevance in seeking "Solution" for today. That is: One of the Co-chairs of the Super-Committee of 12 had let it be known in 2010 that he made a major decision "of then-today", 2010 based on the relevancy of 1982 Reagan and the Senior Bush, George H.W 1990 Ideology. Solution for 2010, devoid of present and 20 years of factors, based on Party Ideology of 1982 and 1990, doesn't "cut" it for now 2011.
I'm going to break and post this and continue with our "near" agreement on a separate post so it'll be easier to read.
indytx, continued from post #5.28- "Near" Agreement
"Required" by Article 6 of the Constitution:
"I (name of member), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and "domestic"; that I will "bear true faith" and allegiance to the same; that I take this "obligation" freely, without any mental reservation or "purpose of evasion"; and that "I will well and FAITHFULLY discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter." So help me God."
This is the exact "oath" taken by each Representative in the House of Representatives. I haven't looked up the Senate, yet. Uphold the Constitution?, yes. But/and, also, as emphasized above, by me, "the obligation (duty) is taken without 'purpose of evasion'" and "I WILL 'WELL' AND 'FAITHFULLY' DISCHARGE THE 'DUTIES' OF THE OFFICE ON WHICH I AM ABOUT TO ENTER." What office? Office of Congressman/Congresswoman/Representative. (Fiduciary Duty to Constituents) "Well" and "Faithfully" discharged duties? 87% Disapproval rating? Undue Influence of the Fiduciary? 87% Disapproval rating? (I saw 8 out of 10 today but didn't see any Poll backing it up) I am looking into forming a coalition and pettitioning the Government directly for an investigation seeking prosecution of many of the members of the full Congress, and for more than just "Undue Influence of the Fiduciary." (in the here and now)
Your post states "either through negative taking (raising tax rates) or positive encouragement (tax deduction or credit). We need jobs." This is where we "near" agree, except for the "either/or" of it instead of both. And I would elaborate from here to say that "of the both" increased Revenue is more critical. Raising taxes on the upper income tier of the Economy, including Corporations, as the "entities", not individuals that they are, is important and immediate ending of subsidies to Big Oil and Companies and the like through "Undue Influence of the Fiduciary" and also, through the same, seek immediate, equitable "cash" Restitution to the Economy from the previously named and from Banks and Corporations. The best and fastest way to reduce debt is to apply cash "REVENUES" toward it. Take that now increased and "Returned" revenue that's being held "on the sidelines", just like you say, but being held for the wrong reasons and away from The People and make 1 1/2-double monthly payments on the debt and pay it down that way, with "Rightful" revenues paying off the debt while allowing time to make "the right and timely" needed cuts to decreasing spending and allowing more time to work on "Real" tax reform, including reforming Regulatory Agencies like the FCC to "what is really going on in Technology today with the use of "The People's" airwaves, for example. i.e. My internet bill arrived the other day and I'm being taxed an FCC tax on "my" airwaves to go into a fund to help People get internet service, using "their" airwaves so the internet companies can make money of those airwaves! No-no-no, The Internet Companies need to be paying "The People" for the use of "The Peoples" airwaves so they can make money! And Revenue and tax incentives need to go and be invested into "Equity Businesses", meaning Businesses that are "grounded" and that are not about and connected to The Stock Market in order to be doing business, who are going to hire People; at a living wage and benefits. Service related fields, not goods, because the Corrupt-o's obviuosly have the "market" on that. And there needs to be a crackdown and a break-up of Monopolies and psuedo-quasi-Monopolies, by loopholed affiliation and on and on and on.
I'm going to stop now but have one more post to add on, but at another time. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks. I hope you did come back for my reply. "M"
so libs how is that trickle up economic policy of obama working out for ya.?
haven't seen any redistribution of the wealth my way and I'm far from wealthy although I'm poorer since obama began his regime....like most americans we are poorer for having known obama but we haven't seen any redistribution of the wealth.....I think we all just didn't realize that he meant the distribution of wealth was to him and the gov.
dls-387641 Obama is in Charge a Democrat. We have had a democrat controlled Congress and Senate for most of Obama's first 3 years and the Last 2 years of Bush's, and you Blame the Tea party? Sorry I Blame this Mess on Our Congress and Senate and sorry But that was Democrat controlled through all this mess. Not Tea Party. I'm a Democrat now for over 40 years and of late I am ashamed to say that. Progressive's have taken over our party and the people of America are no longer part of their agenda. They are more worried about what Billionaires and what the unions have to say and the Global economy, and they quit hearing what the American people have to say. I have been think of late to changing to a Independent in protest against my party. People America has no Jobs and Democrats only bring it to the forefront as of late near election, Americans are losing their homes Jobs, Hope nothing and nothing from Democrats except the illegal health care bill. Unions have taken control of our White House making our elected president dance from them pulling his strings. Obama is not a Democrat He is a Progressive and they are something that I believe is real dangerous to the America people's freedom.
How is hat different from the Liberal concept of spreading the wealth of hard working folks with dead beats who don't want to work?
Statements like this sounds just like saying slave masters were hard working. All they did was collect the money and cracked the whip. On second thought they just collected the money and had someone else crack the whip. Slaves did all the Hard Work. Today about the same: It is not the employer who pays the wages. Employers only handle the money (hard work?). It is the customer who pays the wages. And the Hard Workers Produce the product and pay the taxes.
The man who will use his skill and constructive imagination to see how much he can give for a dollar, instead of how little he can give for a dollar, is bound to succeed. Wealth, like happiness, is never attained when sought after directly. It comes as a by-product of providing a useful service. There is one rule for the industrialist and that is: Make the best quality of good at the lowest cost, paying the highest wages. Make money for the betterment of life.
He's our president. How dare you call him a fool? People like you are the fools, and incivility and a lack of respect for those who disagree with your politics is the most foolish behavior of all. You deserve to be ignored, as you no doubt normally are, but I just had to stand up for civility and respect here.
Am not sure where the republicans feel this country was any better off when they were bleeding it dry but it was the republicans that handed over a bankrupt country to the President to begin with.
I'm not sure where the republicans interpret democrats being upset with Obama for caving in to the republicans as an auto vote for the republicans came from but I have a feeling they will be very surprised come Nov. 02, 2012. What they interpret as voter swinging to republicans is simply democrats sending a message to their party that things do in fact need to change and this caving in and catering to the republicans needs to stop. Republicans are a total partisan party and that is exactly what we are looking for in a democratic president.
People like you are the fools, and incivility and a lack of respect for those who disagree with your politics is the most foolish behavior of all.
That comment, along with your handle is silly on more than one level. Do you bother to read what you write? Left wingers are notorious for stifling the opinions of others not them.
4RealLyn - I wasn't talking about slaves, or slave masters or whips. My comment was regarding the Liberal mindset taking money from people who work hard for it, and give it to people who are nothing more than parasites on society. Please allow me to give you an example.
This is what I said: Statements like this sounds just like saying slave masters were hard working. My comment is regarding the Rights mindset. Are you talking about Hard working Americans that have carried the burden and barely make enough to get by after all is said and done? While so called " JobCreators" who consider themselves as the Hard Working insist that they need tax breaks so they can make it as they make $6.3 Billion after expenses and feeding their family of 4 have only $400,000 to live on? If not I was (this liberal's mindset).
I checked out you links which BTW took place in 2003 and 2006. I don't know who was responsible for actually passing this funding for this spending or the reasoning behind it. Is there wasteful spending? Yes, but by both Parties. My point is don't demonize Hard Working People who have worked for years to make it and No longer have a job and say they don't want to work. Don't use a Wide brush Paint a small picture and don't use a Small brush to try and paint larger picture.
No S**t Sherlock. Surely the president didn't expect these people to come roaring to his aid after all the nothing they have suffered. The President has been too conciliatory to the republicans and seems to have the passions of a bucket of lemonade. Additionally these small donors simply don't have any money to give. Most continue to like him and many will vote for him, but with little enthusiasm.
While I always supported the idea of a man of color to be President, Obozo's performance has set that back so far now it will be a good 50 years before we see another get the chance. I doubt we'll be hearing the Garbage this time around that if we don't like Obama than we MUST be racist. We've learned. I HOPE. VOTE for the PERSON,,not their race or gender.
Remember folks it's EVERY BIT as racist to vote for a man BECAUSE he is black, as it is to vote against him because he's black.
I'll keep my money, my religion and my guns. YOU can keep the Change.
Hey, Mac Forrester- Nice to run into you again. I lost the post where we had a conversation going! This is a great and needed topic, I think. An opportunity to try and get at some of what's wrong. Way too concilliatory, for sure, I think; and also, as typical, once one reaches "The Big House", as it appears, destined to become "way more out-of-touch". Myself, personally, I feel really "sold-out" by him from the debt ceiling "non-debate". Abandoned and passed over to "the-hands-of-scam" (12 of them) for more of the same for the sake of the "Almighty" Stock Market Economy and preserving (which it didn't) an "underserving" anyway, AAA rating over the fate and "real" livelihoods and wellbeing of The American People. You know what, long before the debt ceiling non-debate People were talking to me about Michelle Obama and the changes that they were really disturbed with seeing, like flights out to California for special skin treatments at $400 an hour or something like that and I just brushed it off until a little while after that seeing her making a pitch about something at a Walmart, like some kind of "with and in touch" with the "more real" People of this country, but I no longer saw or felt any genuine-ness about it and still brushed it off until the other day when it then came up about Michelle Obama having 24 attendants just specifically for her? I don't know if it's true or not, but if it is, "That is excessive" especially while her husband is out hitting everyday "Folks" up for money, like my daughter who's child just started pre-school, and now she's not only strapped by the additional weekly cost for that, which she would have had anyway, she's now "more than strapped" by how much it's costing her in gas to transport the child back and forth, and it's only for 3 half-days a week! He should have sacrificed "the Vacation" and stayed in Washington working on things. He's not there for "a lifetime", he's only there for 4 years-maybe 8 and a showing of an understanding that it's not "life-as-usual" for him during that time (4-8 years) would have helped immensely, especially coming right after having sold the American People out to the Scammers 12, by "request" of the Republicans, for The Almighty Corporations and to the Almighty Stock Market, for himself, before heading off on a million dollar bus for 3 Campaign stops before going on Vacation. Sorry, I'll vote for him in the only hope left of not ending up being taken through another drubbing by another good for nothing scum-sucking, spewing Republican in office, but not because of any real hope for the American People being "FREE of this more of the same". The Veto threat is out- I'd say I think he better follow through and maybe even find a little more than that to do.
Mystery Rhee: You very aptly put what I meant into words. The president can't just tell us what's wrong, then offer a solution, only to bury it back into the same mess He's claiming to correct. Take care my friend. Regards
I will and have been making my small donations to more Progressive Causes and organizations. We need push back more forcefully than the President is willing to do.
Wllllsv: I am continuing to make small donations to specific candidates, including President Obama. I'm not giving to any organizations; I want to make sure that my money goes to the candidates that I choose.
I do wish President Obama had not been as conciliatory to the GOP, but one of his big campaign promises was to compromise.
maksim- How far forward are you willing to see forward.
Lets lay it down, eventualy Humans will consume the earth. What then? There is only so much room here. What is your plan? Hopefully not another planet, Pfft. Since the only real thing that Obama did was shut down space exploration. Good job. Way to look beyond your kids or theres. Progressive? Hmmm
WOW! That was one hell of an assumption from my comment. Those are some accurate facts. All I said was stand behind what you say. It is a good thing that all don't think like you or we would all be walking on all fours still. After all, we would have gave up after taking one step..FEW! mission accomplished.
I don't need to listen to right winger about space programs and telling me if something happen to earth, when you plan to destroy it with your smart policies.
If you were to lock 5 women and 5 men in a "space", no matter how big. They would eventually procreate to the point that they would consume the entire space. That is all. You inserting your own view to my comment, does not make it untrue. You don't know me in the least. For all you know I eat dirt and tree bark to save the cows. You are a very angry person. All I am saying is every option should be examined now and 1000 years from now, not just your left winger right now policies. Since you want to be assuming. I personally think everyone is about themselves and they want it right now. Just turn on the TV for 5 min....It's my money and I want it now. Poor me this, poor me that. I don't expect anyone to do me no favors. Make do with what you have or change what you are doing to get what you want, but please stop blaming others for your own short comings...or other peoples, since you have a good job. If you see someone with short comings or heading in the wrong direction, how about you point them in the right direction to help themselves, instead of to the soup kitchen. Most are not helpless, they just think they are because people like tell them they are
Bob, you have any idea about major obstacles of human in space? I don't think you do. First Humans never left low Earth Orbit, you know why? Because Earth have Magnetosphere, that protects astronauts from major radiation. if we leave Earth we don't have way to protect people in space ship. Two lack of gravity is equals loss of bone and muscle mass even with working out. This is just two issues. It not just about putting man and woman and having them to have sex.
I don't appericate it when the liberal morons collapse my community. Just because they disagree with me! Go ahead and continue to collapse my comment all you want. I will just keep on repeating my comment!
justified defiance, please where is it in constitution it says anything about deficits or surpluses, and if you whining about deficit where were you when Reagan Tripled the deficit? Bush increased deficit by 83%? Both parties responsible for it. But keep subsidizing wealthy don't help deficit.
Reagan's dead, Bush is gone. It's 2011, what's Obama done? Nothing but put this country further in debt, and piss off more countries. Oh yea, he allegedly knocked off bin Laden. BFD!
Actually, I would say that though most GOP contenders are complete nuts, Mitt Romney would be a very reasonable choice as leader of America. The only downside is that he is Mormon, but policy-wise, he is a serious contender.
DS1982... good for you.. do not allow them to think for you.. he is trying..he was put into the worst of circumstances, has uplifted the view of our character only due to his own integrity, once out of the fire spoiled Americans refuse to see how truly remarkable of a job in regard to rebuilding diplomatic relations in the worst of circumstances he has humbly tried to make.. Arrogance took down the Romans , the French and English alike.. i know Barack Obama has a true soul and I wish him nothing but the best..
First of all, the democrats controlled the house, senate, and the executive office for the first 2 years. Keep in mind that democrats also controlled the house and senate since 2006. So really the dems have had control for a very long time and so if you aren't happy with the results you only have them to look at. This complaint about republicans from the left has been there since Obama got elected and yet republicans until this year were completely shut out. Other than TARP, the dems passed what they wanted without republicans. So I fail to see how republicans stood in their way.
The truth is that the dems really messed up. They didn't do a thing about Fannie and Freddie when they took over the house and senate banking. Instead Dodd got a deal with Countrywide which satisfied him and Barney insisted that Fannie and Freddie was a good long-term investment.
The stimulus was poorly spent and created not much in the way of LONG TERM jobs, but it did rack up the debt even more since we borrowed that money to spend. On top of that the wars are still costing a lot, which btw the dems promised in 2006 to end those wars, and then Obama without congressional approval spent more money on the war in Libya.
The gross public debt has done from under 10 trillion when Obama took over, to almost 15 trillion now. If this president was a republican the dems and the media would be calling for their instant removal. I am sure if McCain had gone in to Libya like Obama has done, the dems would have started impeachment.
We have high unemployment, a depressed stock market, a banking system that is not lending because Dodd/Frank now requires more capital reserves which shuts off lending and frankly people paralyzed because every day the media talks about how bad things are. Then Obama makes another speech that sounds just like the one he gave a week before. When that doesn't work, he begins that class warfare rhetoric again that one day will fuel riots.
There was never a "super majority" for any length of time. Stop with the lies. The GOP/TP has set a historical record for the number of filibusters in this administration and it continues to obstruct any bills to move us forward. Senate Supermajority myth
January 3, 2009 - 111th Congress sworn in. 55 Democrats, 41 Republicans, 2 Independents, 2 vacant.
January 15, 2009 - Roland Burris sworn in to Barack Obama's seat. 56 Democrats, 41 Republicans, 2 Independents, 2 vacant.
July 7, 2009 – Al Franken seated. 58 Democrats, 40 Republicans, 2 Independents.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THE DEMOCRATS HAD A SHOT AT A 60-VOTE MAJORITY.
August 25, 2009 – Teddy Kennedy dies. Kennedy had missed 97% of the votes in 2009 and over 90% in the last half of 2008. 57 Democrats, 40 Republicans, 2 Independents, 1 vacant.
September 25, 2009 – Paul Kirk appointed to Teddy Kennedy's seat. 58 Democrats, 40 Republicans, 2 Independents.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE DEMOCRATS HAD A SHOT AT A 60-VOTE MAJORITY.
February 4, 2010 – Scott Brown sworn in to replace Paul Kirk. 57 Democrats, 41 Republicans, 2 Independents.
June 28, 2010 – Robert Byrd dies. Byrd had missed over 90% of the votes in 2010 and almost 50% in 2009 due to illness. 56 Democrats, 41 Republicans, 2 Independents, 1 vacant.
November 29, 2010 - Mark Kirk sworn in to replace Roland Burris. 56 Democrats, 42 Republicans, 2 Independents.
Super-majority? It existed only for a total of 6 months AND only during two periods when Teddy Kennedy and/or Robert Byrd were unable to vote AND required them to get the votes of every Democrat plus BOTH independents.
FACT: The "Democrat supermajority" is a G.O.P. lie.
FACT: The GOP used every roadblock, filibuster, and secret hold they could think of so that EVERY bill had to have a 60-vote margin to pass.
Small donors slow to return to Obama's fold - Possibly because the empty promise of "hope and change" has become the harsh and bitter reality of economic despair and broken dreams. Not only has their enthusiasm for this 'do-nothing president" waned...they have no more money left to donate. What a tremendous disappointment this president has been.
GravityStorm--yes, we had a recession. It was caused by GW Bush. Obama just, unfortunately, got the job of trying to pull us out of it. He's actually done a reasonably good job, despite the Republicans, though not as robust a job as one might have hoped.
Republicans, on the other hand, claim that stimulus money won't create jobs. Then, they take the stimulus money (there are plenty of letters--begging for stimulus money--with their signatures on them), create jobs, and claim that they were the ones who created jobs in their districts.
The problem for Obama is the short memory span of many voters and the inability of such voters to connect the dots between what he has done and the small amount of improvement as well as to connect the dots between what Republicans have done to hold down the improvement.
I am sorry that he hasn't been better able to educate people so that they can see how the Republicans are to blame for the low level of economic improvement--but it sure doesn't help when people like yourself create simple line drawings that show inaccurate cause-and-effect.
Oh Yes Beano, He has done a wonderful job! What has he done exactly? Can you fill us all in on his great achievements? Please don't forget to blame Slick Willy before you blame Bush. He got the ball rolling for us but really didn't care as long as they donated to his bogus library. Yeah what a joke!
Seriously Bean??? When does Pres. Obama start getting any blame from people like you? If he gets a second term and things are still in the crapper or worse at the end of that term will you still be blaming Pres. Bush? Your blind loyalty is laughable.
Bean- Please stop watching Ranchy Madcow and think for yourself. One person is not responsible for a world wide recession. If you can not think bigger than that, the fault lays in the mirror.
if you to smart asses you can fix 8 years of destruction in 3 years then you really dumb especially with moron blocking him in every moment. Let see Financial reform, Health care reform even it is republican version, stimulus ( it did help us from totally collapsing), education reforms, I could go more. And what Jobs bill did republican even tried to pass in last 10 month since taking house?
maksim- I can see you are getting very angry with this, so just hear this. No one person can be responsible for all. Personal responsiblity is the the answer. We are all at fault for what is going on now. We as a people need to stand on our own feet and quite expecting Obama or the the next to fix it. They are not going to, even if they say they can. Take care of yourself first, financially and personally. Obama anor Bush was responsible for someones divorce either. Be proud of you and quit expecting someone to help you. If everyone can do that then the rest will follow.
LouC, you really cannot think of anything "great" Obama has done? Under his regime, the US has suffered the greatest increase in debt of any single president. That is a great feat, though diametrically opposed to what the US needs...
GWB could have pointed the finger at his predecessor. The dot com bubble burst causing a downslide in the economy while Clinton was in office. George Bush did not try to duck the blame as Obama has. George Bush has what Obama lacks: Class.
Hey JAM, I am with you all the way. I think your use of the word "feat" describing obama's accomplishment is in error. You use the word "feat" when you have accomplished some thing very good. Something great that benefited a lot of people. He hasn't done that, though. His accomplishments have caused a lot of misery and unhappiness to the majority of the citizens. I think the word "failure" or "empty" nothing would best describe the things he did.
Jam let get facts straight, Bush raised Deficit to 11.5 trillion before he handed over to obama, Obama did raised to 14.5 trillion. that not the biggest increase comparing to Reagan tripling the deficit and Bush increasing by 83%. and here is another thing, during recession you don't start worrying about deficit, you have to inject economy with money to revive it. any economist would tell you. dah
#12.10 -you have to inject economy with money to revive it.
Have you noticed that tactic has been tried recently on more than one occasion? Where are we now? Screwed, blued and tattooed, again. Maybe if Obama would quit giving tax payer money away to foreign interests, and quit wasting money on pet projects the country might get back on it's feet sooner. Here's an example;
In addition to these excessive increases, the bill includes more than 5,200 earmarks, including $300,000 for music and education programs at New York City’s Carnegie Hall, where they pay the employee who oversees the props more than $530,000 in salary and benefits. Regardless of whether these are worthy projects, are they really more important than our children and grandchildren, who will have to repay the debt we’re piling up to do all this stuff?
Why should a Prop Master get payed considerably more than the President of the United States?
I love everything about our President, but I can't afford to start contributing this early in the game. Once you open your purse it never stops. Something has to change with the way these campaigns are run. When the guy with the most money wins, something is wrong. I'm sorry he's having a hard time getting support. I blame his fellow democrats in Washington, if they weren't such a pack of wienies they wouldn't have lost control of the house to those stubborn, fat-headed, not-ever-going-to-do- anything to help this country Republicans! Dorothy Bell, Oregon
Thanks for pointing out the obvious. The lack of enthusiasm among Congressional Democrats and the lack of energy in helping the president to get the job done is a huge issue. Of course, corralling Democrats is like herding cats--that's the problem of being rather tolerant of differences; the Republicans do not tolerate difference or thinking for oneself or not holding to the party line, so it is easier for them to get things done. But, yes, I would blame other Democrats for their lack of enthusiasm and lack of efforts to educate their own constituents. The president can't do that much by himself.
The pres is willing to do NOTHING as proven by the last three wasted years of his so called "change". He is an empty suit with no ideas and no leadership qualities. He can't go soon enough. Hurry up 2012!!
Maybe it's time for a social liberal/fiscal conservative such as Former Governor of New Mexico Gary Johnson to get some notice. Don't look for for equal recognition of the candidates from main stream media though, that's not the way things work.
Heck, if Ron Paul wouldn't jump up and down, wave his his arms wildly, say outrageous things about the meaning of Liberty, and how our country is getting ruined, he wouldn't even get noticed on corporate controlled main stream media.
Why would I give Obama any more money? He gets enough from the corporations, while he weakens Social Security with his income tax break. Which, amounts to nothing but a tease for the working class. To me, it's just a smoke screen to get those that are working for less than $200,000 a year to spend money they don't have.
We need campaign finance reform if we can't get patriotic politicians, but unless we demand our politicians become patriotic, instead of self-serving greedy egomanics, we'll never get real change.
Sadly, it seems we have plenty of people wasting their energy fighting each other rather than stopping to reflect on the charade our lazy, biased, media outlets promote.
So, I suggest it's time to elect a pragmatic candidate, focused on correcting our problems, not a media darling. Might not have as much style, but way more substance.
WTF, man, you think maybe the "small" donors just don't have the money? Just another attack on the voters that gave President Obama a win in 2008! To go along with all of the voting rights changes being made in about 35 states,
Maybe the followers have learned that Obama says nothing, just regurgitates what his handlers write without any due diligence. I am dem and can't wait for Herman Cain to whip the Obama turd right in the bum.
It amuses me to read comments in these threads by people who claim to be Democrats. You do know that all one has to do is click your name to be able to see all your other posts? It isn't hard to figure out that a person who uses the language you do is not exactly a Democrat--well, unless you are one of those "I-used-to-vote-for-George-Wallace-and-what's-become-of-these-Democrats" Democrat.
Which is it? Not a Democrat at all or missing George Wallace?
There goes Bean fart again, Democrat, Democrat, Democrat that's all he knows. He is one of the narrow minded people who would not sway from party lines even if they knew their candidate was trash. Obama is a perfect example of that. The party line bull@!$%# is old beano. Maybe you should vote for who the best candidate is instead of if he is a democrat or not. As of right now you can take all the choices we have available and flush them down the toilet. They are all full of crap and self serving politicos!
Hey Maxsim, once again before you call people morons you should check yourself out. Your spelling is a joke and you can't even form a sentence. Go back to the 1st grade where you belong and come back when you can finger paint without help. Jerk
i love Barack Obama, and i want you to also love him too.... be patient enough to see it through.. if we granted George W. 8 years and he was as close to a human imbecile as humanly possible.. give Barack Obama the same opportunity.
Hopefully you will be able to sort out your racial discriminatory outlook and any intellectual hurdles it creates for you before it is time to stand in the booth and cast your vote...
Y'all missin' the boat. Barack doesn't care about school standards; this is just a way to increase the pay of overpaid union teachers. Which, in case your still not gettin' it, is a way to increase donations to the socialist aka Democrats coffers. Y'all surely don't think they gonna work for the same pay with longer hours, do ya? And what in the billy blue blazes makes you think longer is better? Or more motivating? Other countries "doin' it" is pee poor reasoning; they do it because they are hungry. Just another smoke screen to deflect the massive failure public education is.
I have to step in here and say that regardless of what we pay teachers, who are supposed to be responsible for your children's future, it isn't enough. Could there be better educational performance? Of course, and I agree that the tenure system as wel know it certainly needs reform. But public education teachers make somewhere between jack and squat, and are expected to not only be teachers, but also babysitters, prison guards and counselors. And they are the first to blame when Johnny still can't read. Never mind that there may be 25-30 Johnn's for every classroom, and their hands are tied in trying to keep any real discipline in the classroom, and that they have very little discretion as to what they can do. Plus, they sometimes have to pay for supplies for their children out of their own pocket. Plus, they are spending so much time on all of this cirricular nonsense that there is very little attention paid to the basics, let alone other things that should be addressed at a high school level (such as social science and civics). Combine that with the politicians seeking to screw them at every turn, and it's no wonder many quit within the first five years. This is from an educator, but I would never want to deal with the hassles of public school education. I'd rather go into higher education where the money is pretty decent and the students are at least somewhat prepared to learn (even if I spend half my time going over stuff they should have learned in high school).
Hate to tell you this, but Obama is NOT in charge of the states or their teachers. They needed a union so stop. They have been stripped of being able to disapline those kids that get out of hand and if they do get mad, they have "managment" down their neck, not guarding their backs. These kids have NO MANNERS, NO RESPECT for any adult and have lazy parents that whine and cry if Johnny is punished, kept after school (teacher isn't paid for that time) or the brat can't read, not matter how hard the teachers try. I have volunteered at schools, even after my kids were grown. Teachers ARE spending their own money on these kids so they can learn. When my son was in school and couldn't read, I HAD to go to the SCHOOL BOARD so the teacher could hold him back due to learning disabilities, we found out about the disabilities later thanks to his teacher.
I am truly angry these teachers are taking such a beating from idiots that know nothing of the schools. Every years for the last 20 years I have seen states cut education when they want something else. Teachers have been getting it for a long time.
If we don't start to pay attention NOW, we won't have a work force that can even flop burgers. If you deal with politicians, you must have a union to protect you from the crap they put up with. I have seen it repeatedly in various schools I have worked in. I just go about my business and listen, watch and see for myself the crap they go through. I'll tell ya what! Most parents get fed up with their own kids, but we dump 30 kids on one person, tell them to teach lessons, teach manners, teach respect, keep them out of trouble, make sure they do homework (when parents can't be bothered!) and the list goes on.
Every one of you that thinks you know so much, get off your tails and volunteer for a year at a local school. God knows the teachers need helpers!!!!
As far as Obama is concerned, the repubs stripped our kids education!!!! Good old house and senate. Talk about the worse politicians, laziest politicians I have seen in my 67 years. Yes, most of us worked hard to get him elected but we did not expect this congress to be such whimps and cowards. I think we got rid of most blue dog but the other idiots stopped ALL progress by electing Republicans to the House. Obama said he would reach across to the repubs but he pulled back a stump!!! You bet I am angry with him for not standing up to them and tell them what to do with those fance @ss tax cuts for the rich. He let us all down when he didn't show up with a pair of balls.
To be honest, look at what the repubs are offering to test Obama. The biggest group of idiots I have ever seen running for office. To me this is absolutely embarrassing for the party. Where are our respectful, intelligent, educated repubs we once had? My God, doubt any of them could pass a GED exam in any area!!!! Sorry, but the republicans are forcing people to vote for Obama!!!! I thank you cause God forbid if one of the idiots get elected, it will be the end of our country forever. I was an independent most of my life. Never a party follower but voted for the best person. The ugly vile things I heard in the last election made me sick. I don't like ugly and lies. I am hearing them again so even on my SS of less than $700 a month, I will send Mr. Obama five bucks as it is all I can afford.
So stop with this hate crap about politics, teachers, cops, firemen (all cut by the House of Rep(ublicans). We live in this country so we must support this country. My SS is not taxfree, I pay taxes every year. But I have NEVER resented paying Income Tax to live in this country. It is a duty and it is a proud thing to do. Shame on all of you.
If what was happening in Wisconsin for years is indicative of how the democrats operate, Dumb and Dumber's comment about political funding of democrats may be spot on: The WEA Trust (setup by the teacher's union in WI) had a monopoly on providing benefits to the teachers, that the tax payers had to fund thanks to the democrat politicians handing it to them. WEA Trust was grossly overcharging for benefits so that they could funnel money back to their political lackeys to continue gaming the system in their favor. Quid pro quo with the taxpayers as the hit and run victim.
Obama may not have control over the states and their teachers (though, that does not keep him from sticking his nose in their business now does it?) but it is part of the democrat party machine and Obama is a result of that as is the horrible condition this country is now in thanks to dems in Congress and the White House. Speaking of: Why did Congress not attempt to pass a budget when they had a super majority? Was it because they were too busy or because they wanted to run the economy further into the ditch and expend their energy blaming the Republicans? Seems like the latter.
teachers aren't the problem but the teachers unions are---now that WEA trust does not have the monopoly on providing benefits the teachers have negotiated a better package than before and SAVED teachers jobs in the process.....I hear the unions are livid and putting out all kinds of assault articles stating how wrong walker was and denying any of it is true, this is laughable.....
why didn't the dem congress pass a budget--because they were too busy trying to decide on which spending projects to get in under the radar before a budget got passed.
I voted for Obama in 2000, both in the primaries and general election. At the time, I felt that Hilary would be the one Democratic candidate that would unify the Republican party against her, and I didn't want to see four more years of Republican policies.
In retrospect, I made the wrong choice, because I can't see Hilary letting the Republicans steamroller her like Obama has. While there is something to be said about pushing for compromise, when you keep putting your hand in the fire and getting burned, eventually you stop doing it--not Obama, who seems to think that if he asks just one more time, maybe Republicans would be reasonable. Yes, he gets policies passed, but in the end they're such a chaotic mess, it's no wonder they're ineffective. We saw this with Health Care (which admittedly was a Democratic mess), the debt ceiling compromise and the complete give-in on the Bush tax cuts at the end of 2010.
It's embarassing how easy it would have been to take the message to the American people, but only now when the election is starting to get into full swing has there been any real effort to do so. Unfortunately, there won't be a serious Democratic challenge to Obama, and thus even if he gets re-elected, we'll get four more years of the same--which is sadly still better than what will happen if the Republicans take back the WH.
Obama still has my vote! The tea Party and the republicans are alone responsible for the state our country is in, they have sold us out for there own agenda
The Tea Party did not even come into existence until the country was is this state. For the record, they despised what Bush was doing and prevented a number of Republicans from getting elected because they were part of the big government movement which both parties have been supporting for many years. Where have you been?
And Who had the house AND the Senate for the last 2 yrs of the last Republican president? And Who had the house AND the senate for the first 2yrs of Obozo's presidency? WHAT did they accomplish? Seriously.
Ohh Yeah,,they let the banks Collapse. They said that Fannie and Freddie were Solid. They let the Unemployment rise over 9%. They jammed a Heath care bill that more than half the country didn't want down our throats. They issued so far TWO jobs bills that have done nothing but put more money into Politicians and their cronies back pockets.
I can certainly see why you would want to continue to have them in Power.
Martin Luther King had a dream. WE have a nightmare.
What can possibly democrats did in last two years of Bush Administration with such narrow lead? It called VETO and Bush used it. And yes democratic congressman screwed up by trying to compromise with republicans who would say no anything. Stimulus that did saved lot of jobs and stopped country from collapsing, your own idiot republican congressman took the money and waved claiming that they got the money for their districts. Health care reform that was republican version (proposed by republicans in 90's), Obama wanted public option and never got. And by the way nobody pushed down your throat, moron, most people who was against wanted public option by every poll that was taken. nice republican lie. Banks collapse? did you remember Bail out was passed by both democrats and republicans, McCain voted yes for it. Two Jobs bills and Republicans proposed NO bill since they took the house. You going to have nightmare if republicans take over Presidency and congress again.
maksim, I did not lie, nor was I mistaken, the Tea Parties 1st act was an effort on Jan 19th 2009 to organize a protest in the form of tea bags sent to member of both houses of congress. This was 1 day prior to Obama taking office and was initiated by an individual using the the name Gmack. I have even included the post (if it will stick) for you to reference if you so wish. Be more careful when calling people liars next time.
Mike you said they despise Bush? so why they haven't formed then? why did they suddenly appeared in beginning of Obama administration? so please don't even start with me on this
maksim80, the Tea Party formed as a result of frustration growing out of the big government philosophies espoused by both parties and Bush was among the worst offenders among Republicans. You will rarely if ever see Tea Party support for Bush. The Tea Party is not pro-Republican or anti Democrat. They are simply for smaller government and adherence to the constitution irrespective of party affiliation.
I agree with you there EeJay, but I don't see it happening any time soon. Not so long as people vote the familiar names over and over again. I consider myself an independent. I think there is good on both sides, if we could mix and match them together.
I'd like to see someone come about with TRUE CHANGE of how things are done. We need someone of Vision to handle the problems in our country.
who would give a jackass money ill never vote demacrat again they r stupid they should have ran a black man against a white man or a woman against a white man when they ran black aGAINST A DUMB WOMAN that was it for me
No--this is a troll. Click the name and find out that this is the first-ever posting. The little children create identities and then put up these barely intelligible postings just to keep the moderators busy. They are just bored children and bored Tea Party types who have nothing better to do then come to a "librul" website and punk it.
Just click the exclamation point and rate it as "No Value."

children. To your corners. Fox on the right and MSNBC on the left please. Return to your TV and come back with some good talking points from your favorite reporter..Nothing original please, we need this to continue.
I agree with you 100%. But Barack Obama is going to be just fine AND he's going to be reelected in 2012. Because anybody who voted for him in 2008, will vote for him again in 2012 - that is, if they understand what the alternative will be. Anybody who didn't vote in the 2010 Mid-Term election should have learned a lesson, and I believe they did.
Everybody in media and print was saying that Rick Perry was going to win the Florida straw poll. I guess now the MSM is more upset about the Herman Cain win than any of the GOP candidates.
Whenever I need a laugh, I read and/or listen to the MSM. The bottom line is they're are all owned by "Corporate America" now. It's sad that the journalists and reporters have to "cater to their bosses". Right now "Corporate America" is not too happen with President Obama - BUT WHO CARES?!
Anyway, just let them talk because people in the "real" America don't drink the MSM's kool-aid.
Actually, Herman Cain won the straw poll. I have been watching him for awhile and he has a lot of substance. I am a dem, but this guy is good. He has even worked his whole life at a real job. This guy has a plan and it is a real plan to improve our debt now not 10-15 years from now which is the old "let's kick the can down the road theory."
We need to have business men/women not politicians running this country. We need to get rid of the illegals and their anchor babies. Send them back where they came from. The jobs they do, have those living in public housing/collecting welfare and such do them. You aren't willing to work? Fine. Then you don't get paid. Period. No more free ride. If you are physcially capable of working, you work. Now I'm not talking about the handicapped or elderly. I'm talking about physically able people up to around age 55 or so.
As for taxes, get rid of payroll taxes and institute an across the board national sales tax on EVERYTHING. Everyone pays a portion based on what they buy. And as people tend to buy based on what they make it will be fair for all. No tax returns, no tax loopholes or dodges.
Obama isn't worried. he's bound to get some of that $850 billion or so tax payer money he's wasted on his 2008 liberal cronies.
Disillusioned small donors ...
to "small donors" ... is quite a jump msnbc
Obama's hope and change has left his donors with neither. LOL!!!
LOL.....
Liberals are BAILING OUT on Mr. Obama because......HE IS NOT SPENDING ENOUGH nor drafting legislation to SUPPORT THEIR SPECIAL INTERESTS !!
That tells you what the Democratic party is all about.
I wonder how much of the Solyndra BK money went to his election coffers. Hmmm......
I'd like to donate a swift kick in the A$$ to Obama, and I'd like to donate that right now.
This is good news.
Awesome!!
Confused 1.6 - What a knee jerk melodramatic reaction, as expected from someone who listens to and believes the Obama drivel.
No, 10tacle, my friend.
America has seen three years of full blown world wide recession. By the way, this recession was caused by the rampant, unregulated, free for all capitalism, and it started before Obama became the President, but you already forgot about it.
Rafal W
Cain/Rubio 2012
markmich,
Is your memory really that short, my friend ? Again, this world wide recession that we are experiencing right now wasn't caused by the government intrusion. Quite the opposite, it was caused by the lack of government regulations.
A good example, Canadian banks, unlike the American, were left practically untouched by the current recession, they didn't need any bailout. The reason ? The Canadian financial institutions were much more regulated than the American.
What do you mean, watt75, bailouts ? The bailouts did help to save some U.S. auto companies, and some U.S. financial institutions, but they didn't end the recession. IMHO, the recession will have to run it course, but it doesn't mean the government should just sit back and watch.
Rafal W
Au contraire, mon ami.
A global recession, or any recession for that matter, is never caused by lack of government regulation. Recessions are the result of imbalances in the monetary and/or fiscal policies of government. This recession, as well as the previous recession of 2001 were caused by artificial manipulations of interest rates and profligate spending. A TRUE free-market will balance itself. When you allow interest rates to be kept artificially low, and then any other malfeasance the government allows, the result is a bubble that at some point must burst.
Free market definitely needs government regulations.
he's too conciliatory to GO lacks support in '08 is correct result
But you already knew that, I think.
Because it still IS an opportunity.
Giving for 2012
ladyj
Yeah, you people just keep donating to Obama and we will all be living under a socialist government by 2014!
Better socialist then corporate fascist government. That is exactly what you will get by privatizing governmental departments the TP wants to do, or by eliminating many of them that regulate consumer fairness and the enviroment.
watterwild- can my kid blame Bush when he goes to get a job in 8 years. Sounds like you might need to worry because you think your not;
A) doing your job to expectations
B) The company you work for is failing due to someone else not doing thier job to expectations and you are gonna sit there and watch it happen.
Either way..not Bushes fault, weather you want to hear it or not
I think that it is great that Obama has so many individuals supporting his re-election.
Don't smoke the hope-ium!
Seeam60,
I am afraid you are correct.
"You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time."
That, in a nutshell, is why small contributions are down. There simply is no there there.
Obama's hope and change has left his donors with neither. LOL!!!
What I have never been able to understand is, just what did people base this belief that Barrack Hussein was some sort of leader on. What did he ever lead? Who did he ever lead? How did he ever lead?
He never had a real job. He never ran a business or even worked for a business. He was always on the public dole. Community Organizer? What did he do there? What revelations, other than teaching Saul Alinsy's Socialist beliefs, did he ever create?
Even in Congress, all he did was vote "present". What significant legislation did he ever author? His whole career was guided by David Axelrod. His only "accomplishment" was the speech he gave at the Democratic National Convention.
There was obviously another agenda that created the hysteria of the 2008 election.
And we will in 2012.
ABO (Anybody But Obama) 2012
TBenton and the rest of the deniers: Just "google" "black congressman gets spit on". There are 237,000 results which include actual video (yes you can eyewitness it) as well as news articles on this event which occurred on March 20, 2010.
Some idiot actually posted that there is a reward for anyone who could prove that this actually happened. How and where do I collect my money?

Stop collapsing peoples posts that are not violating the vines rules people, everyone has a right to have their comments read.
markmich
This comment in the article pretty much summed up my feelings:
“Now I am seeing him as just an opportunistic politician”
Give your $10 a month to this sinking ship of a campaign. Give $100. It won't matter. He's so toast.
Tbenton -
I don't think Sarah can. She just wants us to think she can so that she can continue to try to use the race card.
I wonder if she realizes that someone would have come up with any evidence that actually existed to be able to claim the reward - even if they had to fabricate it.
I got 848,000 hits, seems to be one incident. This link is interesting though.
http://patdollard.com/2011/08/alan-colmes-falsely-claims-black-congressman-was-spat-upon-by-tea-party/
Amid the claims of tea party racism, there is another side.
The GOP and tea party is here to stay! Get use to it! The liberal party has failed!!!
Where you been for the last two and a half years? Post, when you get a clue.
You are a fool, this pres. is not fit to lead a anything, let alone this country!!!!!!
I have had my full in the last four years.
obama lies more than Pinocchio! But at least pinocchio gets more repect!
The real joke is on the liberals this time. I am glad I am not a liberal because obama would make look foolish!
rednawt - I didn't say anything about Bush, nor did I say I was from the right or the left. All I said is that the first jobs bill/stimulus money didn't do anything so why would this one? It is funny how when the Dems control everything they still blame the right for not getting anything done. Yes the Republicans took over the house a LITTLE while back but where is all the change for the good from before that when the Dems had control?
rednawt -
Do you really expect any republican-sponsored bill to get past Reid's desk?
This Democrat wont support him period im sick of his hopy and changy and waisting money.
Rut Row.. The spelling police have arrived..
No logic there. Just an idealogical agenda.
odd, I thought this was an opinion page, and not an english class.
My bad, I must be in the wrong room.
vs. you are so right. Obama is not gonna put anything in front of a vacation or some golfing.
HAHAHA
Bob - Need to get back to your basement. Mommy is calling.
Hope and Change, my butt.
vs I don't have a basement. Funny how that struck home for you though. And my mom passed away, But thank you for letting me know that she still cares.
Bob, where were you when bush took 181 days vacation? under the rock?
I can not wait until 2012 (or really January 2013) when we can be rid of this disaster of a president.
yea over 8 years not 31/2
There is a saying, "from the frying pan into the fire"; if you don't like President Obama now, you'll get worse if a TP GOP wins.
Bob, again let get facts straight, obama only took about 60 days in 3 years, not 181 in first 4 years of bush term
I haven't made time for any vacations in the past 4 years. Keepin' on my toes
Bob, you need a vacation, that what is wrong with you
That may very well be.
However, since Tpublicans operate in the surreal world of Faux news, reality and facts are hardly a deterant to their fevered imagination.
it happens to be a noble cause that I agree with wholeheartedly...putting the brakes on the obummer regime is the main reason I voted for repub's in 2010...so in that respect the repubs have upheld their promise..
awwwww! looks like the kool-aids run flat!!! 2012 America Rises!!!!!!
Hey Patricia I gave you a thumbs up AND MEANT IT! You are 100% SPOT ON!
Keep donating to this fool, and you will only be poorer. He's bankrupting the country with this runaway spending.
Theres a much bigger picture than Obamas spending... We've been paying the bare minimum on this US credit card for over a decade now!
BTW I mistakenly gave you a thumbs up.
It's the conservative Tea Party GOP that is bankrupting this country, stealing the working people with their redistribution of wealth to the wealthy.
How is hat different from the Liberal concept of spreading the wealth of hard working folks with dead beats who don't want to work?
so libs how is that trickle up economic policy of obama working out for ya.?
haven't seen any redistribution of the wealth my way and I'm far from wealthy although I'm poorer since obama began his regime....like most americans we are poorer for having known obama but we haven't seen any redistribution of the wealth.....I think we all just didn't realize that he meant the distribution of wealth was to him and the gov.

As soon as the Three Stooges vacate Washington America can get bask to the business of restoring order and get back on her feet.
dls-387641 Obama is in Charge a Democrat.
I think Democrats have it right.
Hey morons we didn't have no trickle up economy, your tea party idiot block everything in congress
What do you mean "He's bankrupting this country"? It looks like he already has. It is just waiting to be filed with the bankruptcy judge.
Please allow me to give you an example.
http://mynorthwest.com/?nid=76&sid=142837
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/05/us/05homeless.html
In 2003, the public spent $50,000, on average, for each of 40 homeless alcoholics
I've never made $50K in my life, but I have to kick in for a hotel for losers?
Please enlighten me on Progressive Cause..
I don't think I understand
Progress means forward in my dictionary.
Bob,
something republicans lack is forward thinking
maksim- How far forward are you willing to see forward.
Lets lay it down, eventualy Humans will consume the earth. What then? There is only so much room here. What is your plan? Hopefully not another planet, Pfft. Since the only real thing that Obama did was shut down space exploration. Good job. Way to look beyond your kids or theres. Progressive? Hmmm
Bob
you just made me laugh, coming from you who want to pollute and destroy the planet, by drilling and releasing deadly gas?
WOW! That was one hell of an assumption from my comment. Those are some accurate facts. All I said was stand behind what you say. It is a good thing that all don't think like you or we would all be walking on all fours still. After all, we would have gave up after taking one step..FEW! mission accomplished.
You are so smart. I can only hope
Just for the record your face is releaseing deadly gas...HAHA
So bob when you destroy this planet where you plan to go even if you had space program? ( just let you know were very primitive in space exploration).
And only getting more so by shutting it down..The bike your on will only go if you peddle. (Like how i said bike and not car) HAHA
You need to relax...you will stay stuck that way:)
Hey bob
Don't worry OBAMA it's not over until God said's its over, keep up the good work
He is not getting the money because it takes to long living under Obamanomics to panhandle that much..
US citizen-701707 didn't give him any money in 2008.
Not going to in 2012 either, What is your point?
New Slogans for 2012
ABO - 2012 - Anybody but Obama
OMG 2012 - Obama must go
obama's new slogan for 2012 should be.
I screwed you all. But thanks for blaming Bush!
Nah.... the new slogan for 2012 will be "Spare Change"
No worries. I didn't give any of them money in '08 either. But then again they didn't give me anything yet either. so, I think were square
But then again I wasn't asking for someone to pave my way. It is bazar that I am still alive today without a gov. handout.
New Slogan:
If you like minimum wage, keep voting for republicans
maksim..........there is no law against getting a better job than min wage but with obumbo that may be all that's available
minimum wage on your own two feet is better than a government check I say.
Touche' Bob.
usa - Those shovel ready jobs are more like spatula ready jobs at McD's.
Bob, you know what is livable wage?
if you working 90 hours and not making ends meet, guess what you end up on welfare anyway. but that takes some intelligence to figure out
depends on what you want, and how bad you want it..Think about it
Don't forget: If you want the Federal Gov't to obey the Constitution and live within it's means - YOU ARE A TERRORIST!
justified defiance, please where is it in constitution it says anything about deficits or surpluses, and if you whining about deficit where were you when Reagan Tripled the deficit? Bush increased deficit by 83%? Both parties responsible for it. But keep subsidizing wealthy don't help deficit.
Reagan's dead, Bush is gone. It's 2011, what's Obama done? Nothing but put this country further in debt, and piss off more countries. Oh yea, he allegedly knocked off bin Laden. BFD!
Regardless of his job approval ratings, it either Obama or vote for those crazies. At least he looks like the most reasonable person in Washington.
"looking like" and being a reasonable person are two different things.
April 30, 2009 – Arlen Specter changes parties. 57 Democrats, 40 Republicans, 2 Independents, 1 vacant.
July 7, 2009 – Al Franken seated. 58 Democrats, 40 Republicans, 2 Independents.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THE DEMOCRATS HAD A SHOT AT A
60-VOTE MAJORITY.
It existed only for a total of 6 months AND only during
two periods when Teddy Kennedy and/or Robert Byrd were unable to vote AND
required them to get the votes of every Democrat plus BOTH independents.
LouC and Gday67,
if you to smart asses you can fix 8 years of destruction in 3 years then you really dumb especially with moron blocking him in every moment.
Bob
I don't need nobody to help me, I have job and financially stable, but I care about other people and not just my own self
Jam let get facts straight, Bush raised Deficit to 11.5 trillion before he handed over to obama, Obama did raised to 14.5 trillion. that not the biggest increase comparing to Reagan tripling the deficit and Bush increasing by 83%. and here is another thing, during recession you don't start worrying about deficit, you have to inject economy with money to revive it. any economist would tell you. dah
Hey Maksim, learn how to spell and form a sentence before you start calling people a dumbass. You Dumbass!
#12.10 - you have to inject economy with money to revive it.
Have you noticed that tactic has been tried recently on more than one occasion? Where are we now? Screwed, blued and tattooed, again. Maybe if Obama would quit giving tax payer money away to foreign interests, and quit wasting money on pet projects the country might get back on it's feet sooner. Here's an example;
http://foolocracy.com/2009/12/is-that-54-million-for-the-wine-train-or-flood-control/
http://www.droppelosi.com/2009/12/want-more-gov-heres-447-billion/
LOL You tell them Dorothy..... Love it...So very true in so many ways.
I really hate it when adults resort to name calling. It accomplishes nothing and it speaks of personal character.
I have been and will continue to donate to more progressive causes and organizations. We must push back harder than the President is willing to do.
Idiot
Might as well add this quickly also, interesting op-ed in the NYT:
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/24/opinion/how-do-you-say-economic-security.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=how%20do%20you%20say%20economic%20security?&st=cse
Every action, causes and opposite and equal reaction....Push on dumb dumb.
It would be better to convince the other...If you are right you will be able to
Seems to me every time they say progressive, the country keeps going backwards
WTF, man, you think maybe the "small" donors just don't have the money? Just another attack on the voters that gave President Obama a win in 2008! To go along with all of the voting rights changes being made in about 35 states,
What changes? You mean verifying that the voters are alive and legally able to vote where, when, and for whom they wish?
JAMjr-ole' LOL
Jam you don't much know about voting policies do you?
Herman Cain is the MAN.. No political experience, all business should just about put a few heads, in DC, spinning uncontrollably....
LOUC
and your 8 moron that running against him are better? lol oh please
Whats Herman Cain done that Gary Johnson hasn't done?
Hey Maxsim, once again before you call people morons you should check yourself out. Your spelling is a joke and you can't even form a sentence. Go back to the 1st grade where you belong and come back when you can finger paint without help. Jerk
It's too soon to back to another late-middle-age white guy
It's too late to vote against Obama in 2008, but not in 2012
I only vote for people, not against
i love Barack Obama, and i want you to also love him too.... be patient enough to see it through.. if we granted George W. 8 years and he was as close to a human imbecile as humanly possible.. give Barack Obama the same opportunity.
obumbo has proven what a worthless POS he is and that he has no clue. We can't afford another 4 yrs of this idiots spending.
Hopefully you will be able to sort out your racial discriminatory outlook and any intellectual hurdles it creates for you before it is time to stand in the booth and cast your vote...
To JAMjr
The best candidate that I have seen lately is Herman Cain, does that make me a racist? or does racism only apply when the candidate is a Democrat
I can see why you use the screen name dumb and dumber. Have you ever given school a shot?
You seem to have a pretty good size audience, dumbanddumber. I wonder why?
Katlin,
you don't know anything about union, as I see from your comments, nor how government works.
What I would like to see is Obama not run again and Hillary run. That way the Democrats are garanteed to keep the white house.
It's guaranteed.... You democrats busy thinking that you don't bother with correct spelling huh?...
Mike
that a lie, Tea party didn't even exist until Obama got in office.
Janine- the idiot
It's time to impeach the crazy @!$%#.
It is time to clean out the two branches of government holding our progress hostage!!!
I agree with you there EeJay, but I don't see it happening any time soon. Not so long as people vote the familiar names over and over again. I consider myself an independent. I think there is good on both sides, if we could mix and match them together.
I'd like to see someone come about with TRUE CHANGE of how things are done. We need someone of Vision to handle the problems in our country.
who would give a jackass money ill never vote demacrat again they r stupid they should have ran a black man against a white man or a woman against a white man when they ran black aGAINST A DUMB WOMAN that was it for me
A racist AND a misogynist...
Thanks Bean.. just clicked on "No Value" for your post.. BTW; how much did you pay in union dues this year?
missy-4174456 - You are a special person. Worthy of a National Geographic article or may be a subject of a laboratory experiment with respect to the development of a human brain.
Thanks Ellie Mae, I just returned the favor.
Ellie Mae, when you actually know anything about unions other then what fox tells you then you can open your filthy mouth
Ellie, all your friends at Fox belong to the broadcasters union.
children. To your corners. Fox on the right and MSNBC on the left please. Return to your TV and come back with some good talking points from your favorite reporter..Nothing original please, we need this to continue.
McCain was a woman?
Now how is THAT for Change? I think it's a start.
When 20 million of your donors are out of work and living under a bridge, who has money to donate?
Those who are working are struggling with higher prices.
I wonder if that was the plan all along?
GOP + DNC = FRAUD
Vote them all out in 2012!
