I have wondered if Lawrence O'Donnel is paying the legal fees. Last week on his show "The Last Word", he made an offer (an oral contract as he called it) to any woman who had a claim against Herman Cain to come forward publicly and if they did, that he would pay ALL legal fees they incurred for as long as it took.

I do think it is a legitimate question, especially since Allred is a high priced attorney and the accuser has not had a job for the past two years, had been sued by the IRS and lost and had a been sued with a lien on her residence and lost and declared bankruptcy a few years ago. Most people in that circumstance could not afford an attorney...especially since she is not starting a lawsuit asking for money.

which is why the Tea Party began to form and then when the Republicans tried to associate themselves with it, they rejected them for the most part trying to remain grassroots.

And the circus goes on....Yesterday we had a great show put by Rick Perry. These Republicans do not know the meaning of the word Personal Pride.

What people fail to realize in that statement was that the President wasn't referrring to 57 United States but rather 57 Islamic States. And during the course of that speech, he said the US was to become 57! Talk about a gaffe! Everybody knows that that was what he had on his mind at the time. He knew what he was talking about.

For those of you who asked, I am sure Ms. Allred is doing this representation pro bono, which means, she's doing it free of charge. Most legal practices have entire pro bono divisions, and attorney tend to do lots of free/charity representation. It's a win-win for them. They do something that appeals to their need to "make the world a better place," and they attract business in so doing, if they succeed.

I don't recall him doing that on a regular basis during previous times that I've heard him speak, but I've only heard him a few times, and maybe I just didn't notice it before. The cost for health care in the US is TWICE that of the next highest-cost developed country (~$7200 per person/per year,) being Japan at ~$3500/yr. There are only 2 countries amongst all developed nations that DO NOT have a single-payer health care system: the US and Mexico. Mexico pays much less and has much worse mortality experience.

You're going to take a 2 hour train ride to Washington, pay the cost of staying at a swanky hotel (the only ones that have "palatial rooms"), and then another two hour train ride back just to have a 30 minute coffee with somebody you barely know to see if they can possibly help you with your job search??? And this is admittedly minor but I'm curious...who goes for this "coffee" at night so you would need the hotel stay?

I watched Cain's press conference (on ABC). He took questions, one of which was 'would he take a polygraph?' He immediately answered yes, if there's no other way. But if I were him, I would have added 'if all these women will take one with me'. I know poygraphs are not 100% reliable, that's why they're not admissible in court. But it's the intimidation factor, the fear of failing the test and the public's reaction to that. I'd like to see if these women (or their 'handlers', if that be the case) try desperately to weasel out of it. It would be a very stupid person who couldn't figure out the truth if Cain agreed to the test and the women tried to get out of it.

As for the allegations of sexual harassment, they occurred more than a decade ago, long before Herman Cain ever considered running for a high political office. These are long-standing accusations. It's not as if he's suddenly being targeted now because of his candidacy.

Cain admits his employer paid large monetary settlements to his accusers at the time, but apparently there are many who think that says nothing relating to his guilt or innocence in the matter.

Do they think the best way to deal with sexual harassment allegations against an innocent employee is to throw large sums of money to the accusers?

People lie, I accept that. But to lie does not make one pathological. Maybe it is because have been working in the medical field I am sensitive to medical terms.

My point was that technically, to label someone, anyone, as having Pathological behavior, whether it is lying, stealing, etc. is acknowledging that they have been diagnosed by a medical professional with a legitimate Mental Illness.

Lying a few times does not make one pathological. Especially politicians in elections. Have you ever lied about anything? Probably. Does that mean you have a mental illness? No.

My point is that one thing all of the candidates do not do as far as I know is to undergo a fitness evaluation (medical, etc.) prior to running for office (they might once they get into office but not to run). If someone has a diagnosed medical condition like a Mental Illness presenting pathological behavior, that is something we need to know about and should become public as it has a direct impact on the fitness of the person who is running for POTUS.

IF in fact, Ms. Bialek overstated her claim and Herman Cain was never diagnosed with a mental illness, as a pathological liar, then it is clear that she has lied about it or over-stated details for effect of a news story.

Before you think I am jumping over board, consider the following scenario. If I made up a story about Herman Cain having a heart condition, or having some other medical condition and it was false, that would be wrong, right? Likewise, the term pathological is a direct reference to a medical condition and mental illness...so by calling Herman Cain pathological, she is stating that he has a medical condition and is mentally ill.

There is a big difference between someone misrepresenting the truth to get out of something and someone having a mental illness where that is who they are. My point is where is the proof?

What I am was referring to were statements made in the press on camera referring to Mr. Cain as a Pathological Liar which is described in the medical literature as a mental illness. Now, I work regularly with scientists in the psychology field and am familiar with psychiatric diagnoses so statements like that, maybe I am more sensitive to.

My point still stands, that if Ms. Bialek wants to be believed, that she cannot just throw around terms referring to mental illnesses calling Mr. Cain a pathological liar. JRS - I've met a few pathological liars in my life, so I don't think she's out of line by making that comment. They are usually highly driven and ambitious individuals that appear to have their lives totally in control...almost too much in control. It is a serious mental illness and is not a claim that should be made about anyone without evidence.

Lastly, how does one get the idea that my blood pressure is up or I am upset in any way from a thorough and exhaustive commentary on a statement? I just present facts and notice that people do not refute my facts other than through personal attacks. Whether or not some or all of the accustations are true, Cain has shown the American public that he is a sexist. His comments are "Princess Nancy" at the debate shows how he looks down on women. I can't stand Gloria Allred, but Cain's extremely rude "joke" about not paying her to do anything on Jimmy Kimmel was very sexist and horrible.

I don't think a lot of women are going to be supporting Herman Cain anymore.
