Your post reminds me of a book I read about why white sharecroppers after the Civil War began hating black people...those sharecroppers blamed their poverty on the slaves. As if the slaves EVER had a choice one way or the other. First the plantation owners lived in luxury. Then, to insure that luxury remained, they allowed white sharecroppers to run farms...their only means of financial stability.

These same white sharecroppers were too stupid to see they were being used as indentured slaves themselves. But the only people they could use to dump blame on was the black slaves they considered lower than themselves. In reality, sharecroppers and black slaves were both getting stiffed by rich plantations only. If the white sharecroppers were so smart, they'd have figure out sooner they were just as overused as the black slaves.

The Washington Post babbled again today about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush. Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this nonsense. So once more, a short civics lesson.

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party. They controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009, as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For FY 2009, though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009.

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

But, there is zero equivalency between FOX and MSNBC and I say that without considering MSNBC my "camp". I seek out information across the board. I am as likely to take in conservative articles and shows as liberal ones, but I know hysterical spin and BS when I encounter it. I like science and factual, reality based and reasoned opinion, not speculative, rumor filled hate diatribes that could care less about being verifiable...the latter is a staple of what FOX produces and they have poisoned the political discourse in this country to the detriment of everyone.

Michelle Obama, First lady, look's so sophisticated in her Jay crew...It almost sounds as though the author was really surprized that she looked sophisticated like wow....how can this woman possibley look good...it must be the J crew.

Now we all know that is not true after all she hired 77 aids( most first lady's have 4 to 5) to help her look good...but they write those captions cause they know it is not true and they somhow have to convince America that she is like Jacky O.....

Michele Obama like Hillary Clinton is an accomplished woman in her own right. There isn't competition between the Obamas because they both compliment each other so well as a family unit. We as Americans should be so proud that we have a family that doesn't go around putting on airs or being ostentatious or pretentious.

I'd take Michele Obama over Jackie O any day. Jackie O's main job was to be behind her husband just like Nancy Reagan and Laura Bush. That's not a job...that's a prison sentence.
