First off, like it or not something needs to be done to stop the Syrian Government and it's military from attacking it's own people with weapons of war. Tanks and artillery are not considered policing weapons. What is going on is a blatant case of genocide of a oppositional political party. Murder for power. It's to late to go back and have Assad try to bring things under control in a positive manner. The deed has been done and Assad is considered by a majority of his own population to be a thug and common criminal. I personally consider him a prime candidate for a warrant of arrest for crimes against humanity. McCain is right, something does need to be done. Election year or not Obama is going to have to take a stand on this issue and not be a brown nosing politician looking for votes. No one cares to be involved in another confrontation in the middle east. As human beings we have an obligation to try and stop the killing and stop making political bull @!$%# excuses. The longer we wait the harder it will be to bring this situation under control. The Arab nations themselves should have cause to militarily intervene in Syria. If not stopped the entire region could become stable and end up in a state of civil war.

Muslim Brotherhood of the opposition is not much better than the Assad's regime, just as Stalin's Commies were not much better than Hitler's Nazis. Truman, even though a Democrat, was no stupid.
